Mostly because Nekomaru is a stereotypical Japanese gay man and all of their interactions have the running gag that they’re not fucking and just besties but when I see people ship them it just feels like they’re just. Pairing everyone off. Shipping without a purpose?
Like their relationship is so much richer and already so perfect as just best friends, and while I do like soudanidai I think people forget that not everyone needs to be shipped with someone… relationships aren’t the end all be all and it’s cool for characters to be single, even if they’re not aroace, yk?
