NagiHono are just like. they are the besties they are the duo they are inseparable. like Daiken. and also cause they're like extroverted optimistic person and introverted smart person. very Daiken very blorbo i need to go to bed

Heromariiii we're ignoring what happens in Omori ok they're fine and wholesome and nothing bad happens. just like Hero likes to cook and Mari likes bugs (i think she does, since she seemed happy about the lil beetle in the one photo album picture) and they're just so wholesome and cute and aaaaaaa i don't really have as many good reasons for why they remind me of Daiken they just do ok

I read a lot of webcomics in the 2 years I was gone and Hooky is probably my favorite. It started out simple and slow (probably because the creator didn't know how successful it would end up being), but when it took off, it really took off and its just a really lovely coming-of-age/adventure story where self-discovery, power and responsibility are the main-theme with a dash of fun magic and witches shenanigans.

Its big solid cast and all their interactions is where the story truly shines. All of them are lovable with their own unique personality and development (there's no way you're walking away from this webcomic without loving at least one character) where almost everyone get enough time to shine and I think a big reason for that is due to how how many chapters the story has. 222 chapters is a lot of chapters and other webcomics usually don't reach this length and if they do, its almost always because the story is extremely slow-paced, but Hooky's pace (after the first 20-ish chapters at least) is good enough where it feels like they're dedicating enough time for all the plot-lines and characters in a slow burn without it feeling like its dragging and its only after you finish the story that you look like back and realize just how much all the characters in it have grown.

Its surprising how its not THAT well-known considering how good it is, but I genuinely believe it has the potential to be a big hit if it was ever given an animated adaptation and I recommend anyone didn't read it yet and is interested in a reading a fun coming-of-age story about witch kids to read it.

when goth girl with immense magical powers, who comes from a closed community feared and hated by average people and who has been sheltered from that hatred for most of her life & zany chaotic ginger guy in most random clothes you can imagine, who isn't afraid of her powers despite being an average person come off as "opposites attract" because of her looking like a gloomy black cat and him looking like a happy-go-lucky golden retriever, but actually they both are happy-go-lucky golden retrievers who have fun and travel together and also are deeply in love with each other
