Do you have any headcanons on redemption Daniel?

OH MY GOSH YES :D I'll try to keep it to the basics though =w='

Redemption!Daniel Headcanons

He definitely still has anxiety because of the cult

I sorta feel like he might? Have some sort of PTSD from it as well

He still doesn't wanna be touched without warning

Might still have some violent tendencies but he's learned to handle them a bit better

He probably still wears lighter colors [whites, light blues, etc.]

Struggles a bit with some of the beliefs being embedded in him [guilt over doing certain things perhaps]

I feel like, realistically, the cult would be against homosexuality

So when he leaves he's able to explore that side of him more [A big headcanon for me is that he's MLM]

He's actually really inexperienced with a lot of things outside of what the cult allowed

So, for instance, if you gave him almost any kinda technology he'd need your help to figure it out

Not that he's stupid he's just never been able to use them before

He'd definitely have guilt over everything he's done

No matter how much he'd try to fix himself, he'd always feel like a bad person

I don't think he'd ever admit to feeling that way though.

Actually, I feel like he might keep a bit of a..false ego of sorts

Nobody else needs to know how bad he actually feels right?

He was probably taught to repress a lot in the cult, emotions weren't an exception

Also kinda feel like the cracking would still be a habit of his

I don't think he'd really like horror movies a lot, they'd remind him of stuff

In general, he'd try to stay away from anything that reminds him of his past

If he does get reminded too much he'll probably have some sort of breakdown

He's genuinely trying to be better, he knows it won't fix what he's done but he's trying

Headcanons about where Daniel actually went? Like either he truly went to Antarctica or he realized he was too broke and now works at the CC equivalent of Starbucks to fund his journey.

Ohh y'know I never really thought a lot about it! I've always thought the jokes about him just..going there and realizing "wait a minute.." were funny but now you've given me some ideas. >:3< Soooo...

I think, realistically, he'd need to do some sort of job to get the money for it

Unfortunately for him, he's likely not qualified for anything more than customer service

So my lovely readers, please imagine this cultist twink having to deal with customers

He'll absolutely have to deal with ignorant assholes all the time

He will absolutely struggle to not just pounce over the counter and maul them

I feel like he'd be fairly decent at it though? It's all just following orders and he's already used to doing that

Plus he's shown to be able to put on an act, so he'd be great at just constantly :)

I mean he'll still absolutely hate it, but where else is he gonna get the money

He's not an idiot, a little empty-headed at times and egotistical yes, but not stupid.

He knows he needs this.

So he'll push down a lot of his feelings about it and put on a happy face until he can get what he needs

Yes he's aware of how long that'll take

But I also feel like he might end up realizing his visit from Xemug was fake at some point

Which would lead to him leaving. Like maybe not even quitting just going blank and walking out-

[I think it will be Isekai'd Daniel - he'd been there for a while now, stuck in the Devildom and blending in more or less perfectly. He lives in a small cottage outside the city, near the edge of the woods. He doesn't know Sarah is there, yet, but will likely find out soon and will lose his poor little god-dang mind over it. After all, they ARE best friends.]

The Owner of Build-A-Devilcat

[So I mentioned "Build-A-Devilcat" in the birthday ask to @xamassed , and that Aya knew the owner. Well, I decided on the owner! I'm going to be adding Daniel as a minor character to the Obey Me verses.

For those who don't know - Daniel is an energy vampire originally from the same world as Abby, Sarah, and Jen. He primarily feeds on Lust, but other "strong" positive emotions can suffice in a pinch. Ironically, he's also super-shy, sweet, has a stutter, and would rather not feed on Lust. So you can see why he'd get along with Aya.

Daniel isn't well educated, but is a good and gentle soul. I dunno if he's actually a demon in this verse, or like Sarah and has been Isekai'd but is masquerading as a demon due to his already unique appearance, but yeah.

[I’ll get the obvious one out of the way first: anything involving human bodily fluids that aren’t the end product of sex high-key freaks him out. Don’t bring it up. So that’s a big ole no on the watersports front 😂

As for sex in bodies of water, it depends. Is the water clean? How is it treated? He’s pretty clean-conscious, so like, a public pool, or the ocean? God no. A private pool that’s kept clean? Maybe, if it’s non-chlorinated/a salt-water pool. And with his gangly limbs, bath-tub sex is usually a no-go unless the tub is huge. He’s totally down for shower sex, though, again provided it’s done safely/there’s some kind rubber shower mat on the floor to keep them from slipping.]

[Answering this OOC because I don’t have the energy to write Daniel’s stutter at the moment, sorry. 

But what does Daniel think of Morgan? He sees her as a god-send, in many ways. This isn’t a world he knows much of, it’s a world where he stands out yet seems to blend in among the right people, there’s so many more differences in this world compared to his last one. He’s all alone. And then comes this angel with a kind hand extended and an open heart.

Daniel trusts Morgan. Which is, quite frankly, saying more than I ever could right there. Generally speaking, Daniel doesn’t trust women. He can count the number of women he trusts on one hand: Jen, Sarah, and Morgan. That’s it. She doesn’t know much about him, about his past, his history, yet still she looks past the ears and the stutter and sees someone worth spending time with - someone worth teaching.

That means more to him than he’ll ever be able to articulate. He’s not sure if he’ll ever be able to tell her his story - he never told Sarah, for instance, she learned from Jen. But he thinks that he’d able to tell her what he is, what he feeds off of.

He just hopes it doesn’t change her opinion of him.]

[Some of the sounds Daniel makes when he’s happy don’t sound like human happy sounds. A mix of no longer being human and someone VERY close to him being a lion shifter (a man who could shift into a lion form), many of his pleased sounds are more like... well, cat sounds. Pleased hums and purrs and rumbles deep in his chest.

He’s a mimic in many ways, and picked these up from Abel. He doesn’t even realize he’s doing it.]
