Meet Daniel Miles
This is my sponsor me video. It wouldn’t have been possible with out all the awesome people in my life. Likes: 1 Viewed: source
-“As an introvert, interacting with other people feels like exercise. I feel better about myself every time I do it; it makes me stronger and healthier. It also exhausts me, and if I do it too much I feel sore and cramped. But if I go too long without it, I feel sluggish and stifled. Ultimately, it is the space between that energizes and sustains me. And some days, I just don’t feel like working out and would rather sit on my ass and read a book by myself.” – Daniel Miles
And on a side note, I fucking love my bed.
-Reading the article “‘Corrupt, Fucked, and Broken.’ What Young People Really Think of the Political System.” And it quotes another article that said “Millenials’ political views don’t make any sense.” And I thought:
“When has there been a consistently working method to politics in our lifetimes?”
We were raised during an economic boom because Clinton helped fix the mess that Bush Sr. left, but then he suddenly had a “sex scandal” and was thrown out. What came next was in no way a “traditional election” and if you think otherwise then you’re a deluded fool, blinded by what the media is spoon-feeding you. Obama, may be Democrat but he IS just the blue side on the same coin. Once Bush Jr. was in the White House and people realized he was a moron we got into a war which diverted the majority of the population’s attention….
I just had a thought. On the 12th of September I was already sick of hearing about the trade centers. At one point even telling a girl I was IM’ing with at the time that I was sick of hearing about it. She was being sorrowful and I was trying to flirt. Ok this next part is horribly militaristic, and I didn’t realize it until I just started writing about it.
On the one year anniversary of the attacks my school, which is in a low village, marched the entire school into the downstairs gym and had us all standing in lines, the youngest up front to the oldest in the back. Every line a grade. Then the principal and other people of importance stood up in front of everyone. I want to believe that it was on a raised platform so as to grant everyone a good view, but that’s blurry. Then they led us through the pledge of allegiance. If they could have gotten away with it they might have held a prayer circle for people who want to do so. But you know how opinionated parents are about the wrong issues.
Because I was annoyed by 9/11 on 9/12 the fact that it had been 364 days without a rest, my tolerance of the whole thing was long gone. I spent the entire time preoccupying my attention with a poor man’s PDA that my dad had gotten me the day before. I think it might have had one game and that’s what was keeping my attention but I’m not entirely sure. Waaaaiiiiitttt…..I think there was a game, I don’t remember how it was played, but I know I used the pointer to play and it was pretty addictive. Or I might be confusing it with the graphing calculators we used in school.
….away from the fact that we were being blindly led by a collection of people under the guise of a single person. Who, you could say, was the weak link in their entire plan. The next election, and the next, have all been shams. Obama was going to win as soon as he became the democratic nominee, we want a black guy becoming president before a woman just yet, but trust me. She’s coming, and she’s really willing to play ball. You notice how the republicans, not being the most friendly to the black community, put out a white guy again but this time with a token white girl as his VP candidate?
Romney even said himself that he didn’t want to be a part of the election. Granted this came to light after Obama won the election the second time, and it was only via a news outlet? Article? I can’t remember the in-between I just remember that one of his sons, only son?, was their source. Take that for what you will.
So now, we, as a generation, are stuck in a “Game of Thrones” scenario with the people in control playing the part of the Lannisters. Only instead of being a traditional family in the sense that everyone’s related, it’s more of a family of brothers. Like a fraternity, but coed. You know kind of like a secret collection of people who meet behind closed doors.
It’s Hydra.
#sorrynotsorry
-I wrote all that ^ after only reading a couple paragraphs in the article. After I finished I finished the article and noticed a lot of similarities from what I said to what the other writer said, only he or she was more analytical. Preferring to use stats and graphs to show the problems with what we as a generation has to deal with. Even using a picture off imgur of a college grad decorating their cap with the words “Game of Loans” in the same font as the show, signifying that we’re getting loans from, basically, loan sharks. The only problem is that it’s our government that is sharking us and they’re just turning around and using the money to pad their own bank accounts in a massive circle jerk that eventually the flood of semen will wash across the country, drowning everyone in it’s white, stickiness and then it will harden and we will be stuck like that. It’s a cummin’, so you better prepare.
-If Guillermo Del Toro wants to make a third Hellboy movie then put the thing up for crowd funding on Kickstarter. Then the fans who want to see it will pay for it, granted there would have to be incentives for the stingy fans, but I bet it could make the money. Then if it doesn’t maybe they can make a down to earth, strictly prosthetics movie which would be more of a trimmed down version of the first movie.
-“In drama, Menander produced formulaic comedies aimed at the sensibilities of the middle class. Non-dramatic literature tended to be dry, esoteric, and scholarly.” – Introduction to Humanities 1 book. Sounds kind of reminiscent of the kind of crap Hollywood has been producing. #newrome
My First Week at Mountview Academy
So I've just finished my first week at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and it has been INCREDIBLE. I've somehow been lucky enough to get streamed into the upper classes for jazz, ballet and tap and the dance lessons have been amazing. My ballet teacher is currently in Miss Saigon, my tap teacher was in Tap Dogs and my jazz teacher has been in 22 musicals including Chicago. How lucky are we?! I've had group singing, singing technique, singing repertoire, voice and speech, text, improvisation, ballet, tap and jazz classes alongside the heaps of information about the year that we've been given. This is such a huge change for me - no longer getting up in the morning and dreading heading into uni to do my Physics degree. Every morning I wake up excited, thrilled and grateful that I'm here! Our first acting through song class this week felt like a revelation for me. I got to perform my JRB song from the Last Five Years, 'If I Didn't Believe In You' - and together we broke the song down to it's core meaning and looked at almost every line to find clues as to how I should approach it. I went from selfishly trying to show the audience how I thought they should feel through my acting to being true and real to the character and situation, and letting the audience feel what they should feel themselves. It's completely changed the way that I go about looking at how I am going to approach a performance piece. It's been such a pleasure getting to meet, work with, and get to know the rest of the incredibly talented PGMTs. I feel like I've known them for months - not days! Can't wait for the weekend to be over so that I can get back to it Monday morning. Here's to the rest of the year!
