Hello all, please do not tell the wonderful, beautiful, yet sometimes just a tad cruel, owner of this blog, that I- the love of her life, have once again hijacked her account. Well actually she just hasn’t changed her password since I took over lol
Which is besides the point…
I’m here to tell you that she’s been thinking of taking a break from this blog. She really wants to sit down and think about her life right now since she’s in a bit of a rut. I don’t know how much you guys know about her since she usually just shows her cheerful side here but… Carol despises asking for help or seeming like she even needs it.
I’ve personally only known her for just about 10yrs, and most of her other friends don’t really know this about her either. I don’t wanna boast at a time like this but, I’ve been looking at her closely in these years that I’ve known her… Um not in a creepy way…
She’s great. She has great goals in her life. Unfortunately she’s highly unmotivated and lacks confidence.
Her dreams are not selfish, which, might I add, selfish dreams aren’t bad, but her’s are much like our beautiful girl, Ochako. She wants money for her mom, and to give her a better life that she deserves. I respect her so much for that.
Not to go into too much detail but, Carol has gone through a lot on her life. She nearly quit art in middle school because her family berated her and told her that she had no future there. She gave up on her dream to be an animator after that. Even though she loves art. She does continue it as a hobby though, and I’m glad for that because I really love her art.
Right now, she babysits her nephews for money, while she looks for a job. Not to mention she took on the internet bill, to save her mom’s worries, even if just a bit. They barely get by each month. She donates what little money she has left over.
Which is why Carol made buttons to sell, but as I said she lacks confidence and didn’t really advertise them. Meaning she only sold the ones I bought from her. She didn’t even want to sell me then at first either because we’re friends. I gave her my money anyways because she worked hard on the designs. She already took it down from the site she was selling them on because she didn’t have money to waste on the fees. She also opened up commissions on her art blog a while back and her process were absurd! A full colored drawing that would take her hours to make was about 4 or 5 dollars?! I commission her most of the time and insist she use that time money calculator thing.
So please, help her by purchasing bottoms or commissioning her! She also had a buy me a coffee thing. If you go to her art blog, there’s a link there. (I’m on Mobile sorry) she didn’t want to link it here because she doesn’t think she should but she makes all those awesome edits and even draws here! I think she should do I’m telling you all now!
I know I said she took the buttons down from the site but just message her, if you have a PayPal you can send her the money like that and she’ll send the button.
Someone please talk to get about commission prices. Don’t let her sell her art for just a dollar or two.
Okay that was all really.
I technically have permission to disclose this info. Though I wasn’t supposed to do it so soon. I just hung out with her since I was in LA for the weekend. Especially since she was really down in the dumps bc of Chester’s passing. It breaks my heart to see her this way and I couldn’t think of a way to help her. I’m actually outside her house right now haha we played Overwatch and listened to Linkin Park all day. She even jokingly said she’d start a YouTube channel with her playing Overwatch and I told her that’d be a great way to make money and she said “Oh… Right. Well I just think it’d be fun. Plus I don’t think I’d get enough subs to get paid” sigh*
I love her and hate seeing her belittle herself
