I waned to redesign Danny’s failed clones Bed Sheet ghost, the frakenstein’s monster, and mini danny. Wanted to do a limited color pallete and make them more cohesive. I’ll be honest, I’m basically I’m turning them into OCs. They are all dead therefore full ghost hence why they’re failures.

Explaination on them is down below.

“Bed Sheet ghost”

He was the first one I drew, and also the one I had the most trouble with. It was hard to design him due to the fact I wanted him to be creepy, but I kept making him look silly especially when I was trying to add a mouth. I wanted to make it look as if he was burnt, with dead flesh hanging off of him and his head. I’ll call him “Kenny”

“Monster”

If Danny Phantom is Spiderman, this guy is Two Face. He’s my favorite one to draw. Only his ghost side of his body has powers, his human side is really vunerable. I call “Jackie”

“Mini/tiny”

I had an older design of him, but it just didn’t look good. It was just like angry Danny Phantom, but green and white. I decided to lean into a 60s spaceman comic character. I call him “Billy”

Vlad belittles and makes them all self conscious by always comparing them to their “supiorer” Danny. This makes them all resent Danny and become deeply envious of them. They’re persception is changed when they see him at Casper High. They realize that he’s a complete loser and wonder why Vlad even likes this kid enough to clone him millions of times.

Ghost Clones: a DCxDP Prompt

Demon Twins AU where the ghosts of all the clones Damian has killed find the portal and try to kill Damian again. Danny (who thinks they are failed Vlad clones) tries to stop them from killing Robin (why they want to kill Robin, Danny has no idea), and is mistaken for a ghost clone himself.

Just sharing this real quick while brainstorming for the Good Vlad AU drawing but I think I may have finally figured out a way to make characters look intangible like Vlad and Daniel were in a fanfic of mine.

(Warning, spoilers below the line if you haven't read "Ghost In The Machine" yet)

Wishing I could help him too, I watched as Vlad stared at Daniel, then at his hand thoughtfully and turned it intangible and tried again. And when he did, we both gasped when for the very first time, Vlad touched Daniel. A shiver ran up my spine as I unconsciously reached for my wrist too. It was almost like…I could feel a phantom of their touch, or maybe I was just imagining it, since this was such a big moment for Daniel, as his eyes welled up with tears and he looked at Vlad, amazed and more than a little overwhelmed by it.

"You're…you're touching me. I can feel that." His head snapped up to Vlad's face. "I can feel your hand. You're touching me. Father, you're touching me."

Daniel repeated this several times in a small weak voice, almost afraid to believe it was really happening until Vlad laughed softly and explained. "You're stuck intangible, my boy. Your signature is too weak to manifest a full body so the projector is helping you do that to some degree. But you appear to be stuck like this for the time being."

Without missing a beat, Vlad turned completely intangible and pulled Daniel into his arms, hugging him tightly. And Daniel, in response, wrapped his arms around Vlad too and whispered lovingly. "Father."

Ruffling his hair, Vlad cradled his head close, his own shoulders shaking too as he choked out in a deeply emotional tone. "I am so sorry, son. I am sorry I couldn't see you before. But you are real."

He whispered in return with equally as much hope in his voice. "I promise you are real. I wish I deserved your love but I will strive to be worthy of your affection, my boy. I won't make the same mistake again. I promise."

Daniel smiled at him through the tears and nodded. "I… I love you so much. And…I forgive you, Father."

Honestly, this felt like a really private moment as I stood there awkwardly watching the whole exchange. But at the same time, I was happy for Daniel. It looked like things had worked out between them in the end after all. Still, as happy as I was for him, I was still kinda worried about how Vlad was taking all this. After all, I knew him better than Daniel did and who knows what might happen now that he's got what he wanted, a clone of me to be his son…

I just hope he doesn't screw this up for both of them with his bad habits.

How would you characterize Zeke, Prometheus, Damien, and Niel??

Oh man. I could say a lot for all of these, since I have a stories with each of these as the protagonist.

Niel- He talks very properly, doesn't use contractions. He loves learning about anything but especially Ghost Zone plants. There's a garden in the clone's shared lair which he's spent a lot of time taking care off. He's read a lot of science fiction and likes baking.

Zeke- He spent a lot of time as a skeleton and so unable to talk, eat, or do a lot of other things his siblings do. After he heals enough to form a whole body, he still has speech issues, mostly with slurring his sounds. He's also got some fine motor skill issues and writes and draws a lot to try and get better at using his hands. He really loves the garden too. And he has a cloak that he wears all the time.

Prometheus- He's the quiet one. A really gentle giant. He's the oldest and acts like it, wanting to protect his family. He loves learning about different myths; this started when he ended up in the Acropolis and found out where his name actually came from. (Dami actually suggested the name, from "Frankenstein, the modern Prometheus"). Pro also likes swords; Pandora taught him how to fight.

Damian- He's the most talkative. He likes puns. He's a physics nerd. It's a whole thing but in my canon, he's the only one of the clones with any of Danny's memories so this has a big effect on him. Basically weird mind stuff happened when he overshadowed Danny to get him to transform. He ended up seeing all of Danny's memories and "living" through them. So he thought he was Danny for a bit there. This also had the effect of basically aging mentally from a toddler to a teen in literal seconds. It did a number on the guy but he's actually doing pretty well? He's probably the most emotionally intelligent of all the clones. Gives great advice and is always there to offer a hug.

There's a lot more I could say. As I said above, I've got literal novels worth of content about these guys so I've done a lot to work out their characters. It's definitely a challenge making them all unique and giving each their own arc when I'm not actually starting from anything. Really, these guys are my vaguely canon shaped ocs. 😂 So don't feel intimidated or like you need to stick with any certain set of characteristics.

Surprisingly it didn’t take very long to redesign Dani’s design too for my fanfic “Turning Point.” She’s meant to look more like a preteen, aka a 13 year old even though biologically she’s only like...a year and a half I believe in this timeline? I’m better at drawing young adults than kids but I think Dani looks pretty cute! Valerie and Danny are getting older too so I put Val next to Dani for a size comparison although maybe I should get used to using the phandom nickname Ellie for her.

For the unpopular opinion ask game.

Here is an explanation for why Dani's a girl that I've never seen anyone suggest.

Danny is chimeric, meaning he has cells with two different distinct sets of DNA. Basically, he had a fraternal twin in the womb that vanished, a la vanishing twin syndrome. The twin was reabsorbed and some those genetically female cells integrated into his body. Later, when Vlad stole DNA to clone Danny, he ended up inadvertently getting some of these cells along with the XY cells that make up most of Danny's body. Hence why most of the clones were male but Dani is a girl.

They find this out post reveal when the Fenton parents do some bloodwork to find a way to stabilize Dani. The first blood test comparing Danny and Dani's DNA doesn't show that she's genetically identical as would be expected for a clone. Instead she and Danny register as being as closely related as normal siblings.

They do the test again but this time, the two half ghosts are a perfect match for each other. And oddly Danny's sample is now showing two X chromosomes.

Hence Jack and Maddie pulling out the blurry sonogram showing two fetuses, one of which disappeared while the other eventually grew into Danny.

Danny takes it pretty well, joking about eating his twin in the womb.

Dani jokes about having come back to haunt him, even if she was really late about it.
