i love reading av club reviews of tv shows and...

it makes me so sad because it’s a common thread on all reviews of sg. all the commenters and most of the reviewers dislike him.

same. and it wouldn’t bug me as much if people explained why they didn’t like him? i don’t want to just be like “it’s because their racist”, but they list the most bs reasons if they ever try to defend their dislike? like they’ll say he’s boring, but then when they try to develop him, they get angry? or they’ll say he’s not like the comic book jimmy, while ignoring the fact that man hell isn’t at all like his comic book incarnation, either or how alex didn’t exist in the comics or winn didn’t exist or like...??? then they’ll say he has no chem with kara which is pretty subjective and not a good reason to hate someone. then they say he’s useless to the show as if that’s his fault and not the fault of the writers for taking everyone but him away from the office? 

then they get mad that he wanted to be a vigilante and like...what’s wrong with him wanting to help people? they say they made it look like he just did it b/c his dad’s camera broke, but it’s obvious there’s more to it than that? and why do they have a problem with a black man wanting to take action and of course he’d hide himself? because a black man carrying a weapon out in public won’t end well. and why would he even tell kara when she hasn’t so much as said hi to him since the break up like...it just doesn’t make sense. 

i get not particularly liking a character, but it’s hard not to think they’d hate him if he was played by a white guy. i’m never going to say he’s perfect or anything, but he gets so little credit yet they all crack the fuck up whenever man hell says anything remotely “funny”

Audrey’s hand fit so perfectly in his own, still. Everything about her just fit so well with him, it still amazed him every day even after being with her for years now. Ryder held her one hand while his other laid on the small of her back.  

The day was a whirlwind for him, and he had only been interrupted a few times to handle things, he couldn’t imagine how many times Audrey had gotten told of some minor detail that was spun as some sort of crisis. Still they had made it through the day, they were officially married and that was all that mattered. As Ryder looked down at her, the song they had chosen as ‘their’ song playing, any fear or doubt he had about today melted away. She was his wife, and he was her husband now, nothing was ever going to tear them apart. He didn’t even notice that he had stopped listening to her talking until she raised her eyebrows at him and squeezed his hand, “Ryder.” She said, bringing his attention back. “Hmm?” He hummed. “You look like you’re off in your own world or something.” She said, licking her lips as she spoke. “I’m just thinking about you, thinking about us, thinking about our future.” He said as he guided her hand to rest on his shoulder so that both of his arms could wrap around her waist. “I like that. Our future.” Her voice lowering to a whisper as his head leaned down to rest against her’s. “Me too. You and me. Forevermore.” He said, closing his eyes as her hand found its way to the nape of his neck, fingers reaching up to rake through his hair. “I love you.” She replied. A smile tugged at his lips, “I love you too.”

Lol yeah he kinda turned up half an hour before the event was due to finish and on my phone I have a picture with him and took a picture of his dog. No surprise why he doesn’t turn up in middle of the day during the weekend cos he was just followed around by 10 year olds while playing, lol.

Brandi (danverolsens) has remained one of my closest friends over the past two years and she is talented beyond measure. I always love writing against her no matter what we are doing or what group were in. Happy Valentines Day to one of the truest friends out there. I love you.
