Chapter 3: The Three Seals, Oracion Seis Arc
“Well, since Wendy is going with Natsu to look into that dragon rumour, we’ll take Y/n on another request... if we can find her anyway, any clue Luce?” Levy asked, leaving Lucy to just sigh as she looked around.
“Doesn’t Y/n just sneak around through portals? She could be anywhere!” Lucy replied but Levy just pointed with a gasp.
“Or just wherever Erza is.” Levy deadpanned leaving Lucy to sweat drop before yelling “seriously?”.
You’d gone with Erza to order strawberry cakes from a local Magnolia bakery for the celebration of the two new guild members, Wendy and Carla when both you and Erza sensed the sword wielding creature.
Erza head-on fought the creature with her swords whilst you portalled behind it, eventually kicking it in the head to no effect whatsoever.
Of course, a conversation with the Master later, you were all told to continue as normal until Lucy realised that Gray was gone.
Last thing you were expecting even though you should have was that Juvia was flooding the place with her tears.
“Is it a bad time to mention that I can’t swim?” You asked as you stood on the bar in a panic.
“Not to worry child, the guild will be drained before swimming will be required of you, however, you could learn in the pool out back if you wanted.” Makarov suggested, leaving you to just sigh.
“I suppose, Hibiki’s busy so I don’t have much else to do-” you began but you were quickly whisked away by some of the female members of Fairy Tail to teach you how to swim.
“That’s one way to traumatise her!”
“This is ridiculous.” You grumbled as you listened to the guild try to decide how to teach you to swim.
“I suppose throwing her in could work.”
“Doesn’t matter, she’s already in, just needs to learn how to swim, and not stand.”
“Could somebody perhaps, teach me instead of just arguing about how?” you whined before you felt the water move around you.
It was new that all the women in Fairy Hills were staying up to keep guard, some at the guild hall, and some watching the dorms whilst you were told to sleep.
All you knew was what you’d seen when Erza and yourself were attacked, in addition to Natsu, Wendy, Carla and Happy not being back from their investigation into the dragon rumour.
So Cana standing near your door to check on you was an unusual sight to say the least. You’d been aware for years that both Erza and Mira would check up on you, but never anyone else.
Cana was probably expecting you to be asleep however, not lying in your bed, watching her watch you as she looked at you in shock before she walked in and sat on the end of your bed.
“Thought you be sleeping off the alcohol by now.” You stated, leaving Cana to just give you a look.
“You act way older than eleven, y’know, kid.” She stated back but you just turned away from her.
“Thanks, it’s the pre-Fairy Tail trauma.”
You didn’t realise Cana had a sleep card until you were sinking into your nightmare-less slumber, a rare slumber indeed.
Waking up hours later, it was still dark but you’d been moved to the guild hall. Looking out of the window, your blood ran cold as you spotted the dragon flying towards Magnolia.
Grabbing a hoodie and some shoes, you quickly opened a portal to arrive at the front of the guild where Mira, Cana and Team Shadow Gear stood along with other members of Fairy Tail.
“Y/n? You’re supposed to be asleep.” Mira tutted, leaving you to just shrug as you remembered you were still technically in your pyjamas.
“Light sleeper, and... dragons are kinda loud, fake or not.” You deadpanned, rolling your shoulders back as you looked up at the incoming fake dragon.
Standing outside of the guild hall, you didn’t move from the table you were stood on as Elfman, Wakaba and Macao returned with Gray, the traitor who was the reason that Natsu was being used as a battery to fuel the fake dragon.
That meant you were ignoring the ongoing arguing between everyone and Gray, instead staring at the fake dragon in an attempt to focus your powers.
“Y/n, what are you doing?” You ignored whoever said that as a portal opened and you jumped through without a second thought, shocking everyone else.
“You’ve ran out of time.” Daphne cackled from inside the fake dragon, leaving Erza to slide down it’s spine as it landed in Magnolia.
Until she wasn’t sliding, something was holding her down to stop her from it.
“What the- Y/n? Get away from here!” Erza demanded as she realised you were hovering near her as the two of you landed on the ground with a light thump.
“Prepare to be crushed, Erza Scarlet!” Daphne howled as the dragon roared, it’s talons about to crush the two of you until Alzack and Bisca began to use their guns magic to fire on the dragon with Cana’s card magic, Juvia’s water slicer and Max’s sand magic not too far behind.
The orders were to destroy the dragon, regardless of what happened to Natsu. The Master’s orders and Natsu’s orders.
But you weren’t having it.
Standing on a nearby Magnolia rooftop, you were focussing your powers as a f/c aura began to emanate from your body.
“Y/n? What the hell are you doing?”
But the only way to destroy the fake dragon was for a dragon slayer to take it down from the inside.
“Y/n, calm down, opening a portal inside that thing to grab Natsu won’t work, you’ll be attacked by the lacrima energy before the portal is open.” Gray stated, leaving you to just sigh, the aura dissipating immediately.
“Damn, even for a kid, that was a lot of magical energy...” Jet mumbled to Droy who just sweatdropped in response.
“Go at the lizards with everything you’ve got! I’ve got the dragonoid.” Erza explained, leaving you to jump into action as the lizards began to rain down on the town.
Of course your magic as an eleven year old consisted of portals, mild gravitational pulls and the occasional energy orb.
“Damn. That’s awesome.” You whispered from your position with Mira who was holding an unconscious Wendy, Lucy and the two cats, Happy and Carla as a fusion of ice and water magic began to rain down over the town thanks to Gray and Juvia’s unison raid that was taking out all the lizards.
“This magic power feels sort of familiar for some reason.” Lucy admitted, Carla adding to it as she hovered next to her, “I think it’s an ice and water unison raid.”
You were standing next to Mira with a hand over your mouth as you listened to Gray, Happy, Lucy and Erza try to provoke Natsu into actually fighting back, the sight of the dragonoid with Natsu’s facial expressions arguing back was making you laugh, to Mira’s concern.
“I don’t see how you find this funny, Y/n.”
“It’s funny because I used to idolise Natsu along with the rest of you, thinking you could take down anything in your way, whether on purpose or not, now one of my role models is giving up so easily? How the hell are you going to find Igneel if you’re being used as fake dragon battery!” You shouted, gaining the attention of Natsu the dragon as he glared at you.
“What the hell, Y/n! Isn’t it past your bed time!” The dragon howled back but you just raised an eyebrow, folding your arms in unamusement.
“I gotta admit I didn’t see that one coming.” Cana stated as as Bickslow just groaned quietly, “there’s not much time left. That orb is about to absorb all of Natsu’s spirit.”
“If you can’t muster the confidence to value your own life, Fairy Tail has no need for you. I’m sure if your precious dragon ever saw you again, he’d be ashamed of what you’ve become, if he had any kind of pride, he’d beat you senseless for disgracing his legacy!” Erza shouted as she requipped into her Purgatory armour.
“All your trash talking has got me more fired up than ever!” Natsu yelled as the intensity of fire from the dragon began to increase even more.
That was until Gajeel used his Iron Dragon Secret Art to drill into the orb to get to Natsu.
Of course you didn’t have any flame magic to give Natsu some fire to eat but you were able to assist Sagittarius in sending the fire up to Natsu
“You’re about to see a Fairy Tail mage in action, carrying out our most sacred role, eradicating evil.” Makarov exclaimed as everyone stood watching.
By sunrise, the dragon was eradicated and Daphne had been stopped.
“Looks like the dragonoid’s weakness-”
“-was an unstable power source known as Natsu.” Gajeel and Gray shrugged, leaving you to laugh with everyone else as Natsu and Gray began to argue.
You were standing on your own, watching when your yawn got the attention of someone standing behind you.
“Looks like it’s time for bed for you.” Erza chuckled as she patted your head, making you shrug as she walked past you to talk to the Master.
“Hey, Lucy. Anyone ever tell you that you kinda look like a crazy sun fish whenever you smile?” Happy asked, staring ahead at the crowd of Fairy Tail mages.
“WHY WOULD THEY?” Lucy screamed, leaving you to jolt awake from where you were standing to stare back at her in shock at her outburst.
