Do not however flood the comment sections of my regular Anti posts, as this is supposed to be a space for my fellow Antis, and they didn’t come to my posts to see Pros picking a fight with me in my comment sections.

I’ve had people instigate things on my posts even though I tagged them properly, and while I humored them this time, I won’t anymore.

This does not mean, however, that if you disagree with a particular point I made on a particular post you cannot bring it up on that post.

Please do bring up respectful questions/points on those specific posts. I always want to be open for discussion, but I do not have the time and energy to get into hour-long debates with ornery people.

This is an example of what not to do on my posts. Be mature, people.

Here’s another example of what not to do! Thanks for volunteering.

I shall delete comments of people who try to fill my Anti space with their Pro stance where I have not allowed it. Stop coming to my posts just to attack me. Again, if you just want to discuss in general and aren’t responding to a specific point I make in a post, then kindly delegate your opinions to my discussion post or to my ask box or by tagging me in your own post or reblogging a post of mine.

If you do not comply with my rules, you shall be deleted.

I shall compile a list of people who should not interact with this blog so that they are warned and so that my fellow Antis can avoid them. I could feasibly add quite a few more people to this list for their demeaning tone and snide remarks, but I want to be sparing with whom I add to the list so people are not discouraged from discourse here. Only actual trolls and honestly just plain rude people will be listed.

(This is an idea I got from my favorite Anti blog, but I shall not name them for now because I don’t want the toxic Pros (not all Pros, just the toxic ones) who come into my blog to go harass them. They deal with enough unwarranted hatred anyway.)

I’m not blocking them for now because on principle, I don’t like blocking when people should be able to be mature enough to not bully a blog that’s specifically requested them to stop interacting. Plus, I like to leave the door open to reconciliation.

I have a question.

Have you ever thought to yourself or any antis thought to themselves that it’s okay to like toxic ships in fiction?

Mashima never said a day in his life that his ships weren’t toxic and were healthy so idk why yall be so upset that people like these things?

Toxic ships in exist in fiction and real life. I love reading toxic relationships in fiction. I eat it up but I understand that’s not okay for real life.

If you truly want to see toxic relationships in fiction read Korean comics. They have some extremely toxic relationships in their stories and I love them all because it’s only fiction. It’s a reason why things like this exist because people like me exist to read it.

Is It Okay to Like Toxic Ships in Fiction?

Oh, this is a fantastic question, Anon.

I have never said that no one is allowed to like toxic ships in fiction. Ever. In fact, I've said the contrary, where, yeah, even I like some toxic ships (excluding things like p*doph*lia etc.) where people clearly aren't good for each other but it's an entertaining ship regardless as long as you know it is immoral in real life. If you know you'd never support certain toxic relationships in real life, but still like certain toxic characters together, there's not much harm to it.

My biggest issue with the Pro gr///via fandom?

It's that seemingly most of them deny that gr///via is a toxic ship in the first place. That, and some of them will attack anyone who says otherwise.

That's part of the reason why I've dedicated this blog to parsing gr///via's toxicity, to show why so many Antis have issues with it and because there are so many people who refuse to believe that gr///via is toxic in any way, shape, or form.

I've actually talked to Pros who acknowledge that gr///via is a toxic ship, but that they just like it for some reason or another, and I totally respect that because they realize it's a toxic ship. While I hate the "it's just fiction" argument because it's a dreadful slippery slope, all in all, gr///via really is just a fictional ship between two people of the same age.

You say Mashima has never said his ships were healthy, but that doesn't matter, and that's never been an argument that I've made, that Mashima said he'd make healthy ships (which of course he didn't). Most authors don't go around explicitly saying that anyway, so that's another reason why that is a straw man argument.

However, another part of my issue with gr///via is that it's a canon ship, one that Mashima pushes heavily, and it is portrayed as something to be desired.

There are plenty of toxic ships people make up on their own, fanon, where the author never intended for it to be a thing, in which case it's the fans' fault for making up such a thing, but the fact that the author of FT makes juvia a complete scumbag but makes it so that she ultimately gets the object of her desires teaches the very wrong lesson. He also tries to make her pass as a "good person", having everyone love her and cheer her on no matter what she does to them.

If you make a character do very toxic things, but also make them appear good to other people in the show and make it so they never face any consequences for their actions (the worst consequence juvia ever gets from her sick behavior is some sweatdrops from other characters, but no one ever stops her and many in fact encourage her), readers/viewers might get the impression that that character really is a good person, and that their actions should be emulated to get their desired results. Mashima has even apparently said in an interview that Gray is somewhat of a self-insert, so the fact that he gave Gray juvia as his love interest says a lot about what Mashima desires or fetishizes.

I have, and that has nothing to do with this conversation. "If I truly want to see toxic relationships", all I have to do is watch Fairy Tail and suffer through every gr///via/juvia scene.

Honestly, I haven't really heard of the spite shipping argument before, but I've been absent for a while off of Tumblr and all things gr///via for a few good months, so maybe I just missed something!

I can definitely see gr///vians shipping Lucy with Natsu just to keep Lucy away from Gray though, which is a big eyeroll. People should ship characters together because they like them together, not to make sure other they don't compete with a different ship lol; they're not real people, there's just no need.

I don't ship NaLi personally. I'm not a Lisanna fan, I find her to be sort of annoying, but I don't really hate her anymore.

Need all my ire for juvia!

Kidding (sort of) aside, NaLi is still much, much healthier than gr///via, like most normal ships in Fairy Tail. Lisanna may be annoying to me, but she's still a kind person, something juvia isn’t and cannot be.

I have been very AWOL because of the hardest semester of college I've ever had and have had to deal with a bunch of stress, and I wanted to give myself as much time as I could to focus on it.

I know I keep doing this so I might as well just advertise my blog as having periodic breaks at this point x_x but yes, I shall try to come back to Tumblr, though I do have work and summer class every weekday, which has kept me busy even into the summer unfortunately.

I also hear there's some Pros invading our anti gr///via tag... Why am I not surprised.

Target on My Back? (Again lol?)

Goodness, it seems like I’m sort of being targeted right now, all in the span of a couple of hours. Getting an influx of pretty pointed asks all at once for some reason.

One is very rude, one is tagging me in to deal with someone else’s drama, and one is asking (the age-old question) why I dedicate a blog to hating on juvia and gr///via.

The latter two askers seem pretty reasonable, while the first one is quite pathetic in it’s harsh judgement of a stranger on the internet (me) doing something as harmless as posting hate posts about a fictional character for fun and for the benefit of others who like to see their experiences validated (rightly so).

I’ll get to them soon. I just got back to college for classes starting up on Tuesday and need to get my stuff in order, but my followers and regular blog readers, be prepared for some heavy stuff coming up.

Oh well.

Nothing new to this blog, and nothing I can’t handle. :)

The jealous j*v*a gag was never funny but girl really got jealous over a CAT and Gray dancing for fun with his child teammate. Do people really find this endearing? funny? She makes every interaction Gray has into something gross. Don't get me wrong it isn't funny when she does it with Lucy either (this is an extremely toxic relationship and I don't like to see it portrayed as cute or funny), but her acting like he's into Frosch or Wendy disgusts me (idk if it makes sense haha)

juvia Believes in the Worst of Gray, and she Couldn't Care Less

Oh, you make perfect sense to me, Anon, and you make such a good, damning point against juvia.

I love how you phrase it because it's just so accurate:

"she makes every interaction Gray has into something gross".

The fact that in juvia's mind, Gray could be a p*dophile or someone who practices b*stiality, is just beyond disturbing, for multiple reasons.

A, if she really thinks Gray is capable of those things, and still "loves" him, then what does that make her? Someone who supports those things too. Jail. Jail right now.

B, despite thinking those things about Gray, there's no acknowledgement from juvia that that's so very wrong, there's just, as you say, jealousy. Instead of putrid disgust, juvia feels jealous over a child and a cat. That's revolting, immoral, and just downright pathetic.

C, it just shows how juvia does not know Gray at all, what his values are, whom he loves, what kind of a person he is. And nor does she care. And yet this is the woman we're supposed to want to be with him. Right. That checks out.

D, what's more, Gray can do no wrong in her eyes (clearly), so if Gray likes Wendy or Frosch, guess what, it's not Gray who's the problem here- it's the child and the animal. They're her love rivals, they're whom she must conquer in a battle of love. The two who would be victims to Gray if this deluded insanity juvia believed about him was true are the very ones juvia points her gnarled finger at and declares war on. (Hypothetical) Victim-blaming/abuse at its finest.

You're right, Anon, that this jealous gag isn't funny even when inflicted on women of Gray's age and species. It's just uncomfortable, cringe, toxic, malicious, and sad. But it's infinitely more despicable when juvia's delusions and fantasies paint such a horrid picture of Gray and those around him, where his morals are misrepresented, his reputation tarnished, where such evil, perverse things are presented as if we're supposed to laugh at it.

This point doesn't get talked about enough (by myself included), but it truly is one of the most damning pieces of evidence of why juvia is a loathsome, detestable human being, and why she should never be with Gray.

ok now that i got that out the way im gonna compare these three things between fanom lisanna and canon juvia

Sexual Harassment

To start here are the lisanna moments featured in the fic where she does sexual acts in classroom to natsu, this is sexual harassment—definition:

‘behavior characterized by the making of unwelcome and inappropriate sexual remarks or physical advances in a workplace or other professional or social situation.’

“I thrust three fingers into me wishing it was his fingers inside of me instead of my own. I'm taken off my high when I hear "My name is Natsu Dragneel you are to address me as Mr. Dragneel or Sensei." I look up from his picture and sure enough, there he was MY NATSU Before, he can say more I tackled him into a hug and snuggle up against his chest.”

—First example is lisanna sexually pleasing herself in the middle of a classroom with shirtless photo of natsu

"Okay, I'll go back to my seat for you Natsu kun" she purred. "Lisanna!" I warned. She just winks at me and struts back to her seat. She sits down, but instead of crossing her legs like a lady is suppose to do especially when wearing a skirt. She decides to sit in her seat with her legs wide open, giving me access to see her purple lacy panties. I roll my eyes at her actions I mean I've already told her I don't like her like that plus she's too young for me. When will she get that through her thick head?”

—Second example is lisanna exposing her self to natsu in public.

Now let me compare them to juvias canon moments—

—she uses gray’s likeness to wash her naked body?!? and gets sexually aroused in the process  

—juvia again is trying to get gray to do sexual acts to her and hes very uncomfortable; yet again she is sexually aroused from this situation

Jealousy 

“This blonde bitch! I hate her guts! I feel like she's after MY NATSU especially when I saw that she sent him a friend request. She better back the fuck off!”

—their both jealous of lucy being close to ‘THEIR’ man

“After Natsu kun told that blonde bitch to stay after class I can't help but feel suspicious especially when I caught her smiling with a slight blush on her skanky face. I wait for all the other students to leave so it's just me and blondie left. "Time to make my move" I walk towards Natsu kun not before giving that blonde skank a look that could kill her ten times over.”

Now let me compare them to juvias canon moments—

—juvia needs to constly put down lucy when ever lucy has normal interactions with gray to validate her obsession with gray; shes jealous that gray and lucy can bond together naturally… later in this arc she tries to kill lucy

—again juvia is extremely hostile to lucy even after juvia becomes allies with fairy tail

Obsession 

“Lisanna started talking about how she wanted to be married to me and have my kids.”

—Lisanna has this delusional idea that she’s gonna end up being with natsu

“I then hear Natsu deny me I can't help but feel the urge to cry. I've loved him the moment he saved me from those bullies that were picking on me when I was in elementary school. I I shake the memory away and focus back on the conversation.”

—Lisanna has been in love with him since the moment they met. hmm sounds familiar?

Now let me compare them to juvias canon moments—

—juvia is obsessed with gray that he has likeness throughout her room; most likely with gray having no idea

—juvia is also so completely delusional that gray in her head is nothing like the actual gray, she’s obsessed with the idea of him while ignoring his actual feelings

Later lisanna DRUGS and RAPES natsu in chapter 26; so familiar to juvia buying a “love potion” and attempting to drug gray and force him to lover her via the potion

I'm personally not a Lisanna fan. I used to dislike her, but now it's more of a neutral meh feeling. She's not very interesting as a character to me.

But she definitely doesn't act like juvia, not what I've seen anyway, so she doesn’t deserve to be treated as such!

Genuine question - do you dislike the gruvia ship to the point where say hypothetically if she were to get major development in the future you’d still hate it ? Would you be neutral to it ? Or do you think her character is irredeemable to the point of no return ?

Is gr///via Truly Irredeemable?

First of all, sorry for the extended hiatus!

Second of all, that's a fantastic question!

I actually have a similar post where I talk about something like this, where the question essentially was "how would you write juvia's character in a way that you would actually like?"

It's a pretty short post so I recommend checking that out too, but as for your question:

Hypothetically, and I mean very hypothetically, juvia could redeem herself as a character (but that would require loads and loads of sincere apologies and repentance and trying to make things right by people, which we all know juvia is too selfish to do), but even still, it would not be good enough to the point where gr///via would be healthy.

You can think about it this way.

Let's say a guy sexually harasses this girl, stalks her, creates merch of this girl to get himself off to, inflicts damaging emotional manipulation on her mind, ignores her consent and discomfort, makes something as deep as her father's death all about himself instead of her grief, and cusses out any guy who gets close to her, essentially trying to isolate her from any of her close guy friends.

Now switch out guy with juvia and girl with Gray. (Switching genders tends to help put the immense toxicity of this ship into perspective for people, which is unfortunate, but it's how our society operates right now.)

Even if this "guy" would be able to apologize and mend his ways, the damage has been done. The trust has been broken. Trauma has been inflicted.

That bell cannot be unrung.

So, while I'm all for forgiveness, I do not believe that forgiveness means a second chance at having a relationship with someone who has literally abused you. They had their chance, and they blew it and you up.

Just think of a different scenario of a toxic relationship. What if the guy had cheated on this girl before? Even if he genuinely feels bad and apologizes, how can you trust him to not cheat again? Why did he ever think it was okay to cheat in the first place?

You could ask those same questions of juvia.

So, to answer your question, I would still hate it even if juvia repented. she doesn't get to abuse and hurt and manipulate and come out on top with Gray remaining in her clutches. Any good their relationship could have been is merely fruit from a poisonous tree- poisoned by juvia's past abuse.

See, even if Gray were to stay with her after she admitted to her wrongdoings, who's to say that he isn't too far gone, too deceived, too Stockholm Syndromed, to know what's best for him, aka running from that "relationship" as fast as he possible could? He might not even believe her that she'd done anything wrong.

So, if juvia really and truly regretted what she did to Gray, then she would let Gray go and not try to keep her claws in his heart. Therefore, there would be no gr///via in the world where juvia is redeemed as a character.

Well, my "Short Hiatus" turned into, uh, 3 months of leave.

My bad. x_x

So much for getting a better handle on things, but I feel like I've learned a lot this semester, so I have hopes (not high hopes, just hopes) that next semester I'll be able to balance my workload and this blog! So sorry that I had to take such a long break!

Christmas break is here, and I finally have breathing room, so I hope to be very active now. Hope you all have had a great fall season!

Short Hiatus

I'd told myself I wouldn't make another hiatus post even if I was going to be off tumblr for a while because I feel like it's not that big of a deal, but every time a lot of time passes, I feel bad for dipping without saying anything.

Transferred majors into something much more intense, and I don't have a lot of free time right now. But I hope to get a better handle on things once I get a bit more into the school year. It's only the second week right now.

A Hilariously Low IQ Pro gr///vian Raid On My Blog

Oh my gosh guys 😂. I don’t look at tumblr for one second, and now I have a ton of hate asks!

This is legitimately hilarious!

Nothing like the toxic side of the Pro fandom shooting themselves in the foot by acting like actual toddlers over me disliking a fictional ship! ^^

But before I get to these funny asks, I have a post I’ve been working on that’ll set the stage for this—the prologue, if you will.

There’s a (very silly) reason I’ve been targeted, and it’s again so amusing.

I can’t wait to post it for y’all’s entertainment! Tumblr drama is always so interesting, isn’t it?

Last Update on the Sad Troll

I kept updating the post I'm reblogging because the situation kept changing, but I just wanted to update y'all and put this to a sort of rest!

The person who sent the asks as depicted in the post above?

They have been sending hateful, troll asks for 6 days now, totaling 50+ asks.

Really pathetic, isn't it? At least their no-life-ing of my blog is very amusing ^^.

I was going to make a post responding to most of the pertinent asks, but as they continued to send me asks for hours, I realized they just want to make me mad and get attention.

Out of curiosity, I turned off the anonymous option for my asks to see if they'd say anything. Unsurprisingly, the coward troll refrained from sending any more asks, when they'd been doing it daily.

Then after 2 days went by, they finally sent two laughable asks, one where they pretended to not be the troll, and the other where they sent gross pictures of gr///via and screenshots of a post saying that Japanese people have different political correctness than other places, trying to excuse gr///via's toxicity. They also essentially said "don't like, don't watch".

[One, I don't oppose gr///via because of "political correctness", I do it because it's objectively a toxic relationship.

Two, I love FT, and I don't love gr///via, but guess what? I'm allowed to watch it, enjoy it, and criticize it. If you don't have any criticisms, then you're not watching it closely enough because everything has flaws, and nothing is perfect.]

After so bravely sending these asks, they seemed to have immediately blocked me and changed their username, so that even my friend couldn't find them despite being logged out of their tumblr account.

Then I turned my anonymous back on for my followers, and I just knew that when I did, they would unblock me and crawl back into my inbox, and lo and behold, the troll is back, sending anonymous troll asks daily once more.

Here's a few fun facts about this troll:

She calls keeps calling herself "the queen of trolls".

She has admitted that her friend told her about me, so my suspicions seem to have been confirmed on the reason why this asker is attacking me.

She keeps insisting that she's not a Pro gr///vian fan.

She keeps saying haha you thought I was a bunch of Pros, or haha you thought I was a Pro myself, basically trying to insist that she "got me".

She keeps calling me a racist because I’m criticizing Hiro Mashima, who is of course Japanese.

She has called me the n-word.

All this, instead of making me upset, makes me feel sorry for this person.

You really don't have anything else to do with your life, Queen of Trolls? That is honestly sad, so you have my condolences. I hope this trolling gives you some sort of happiness.

You're actually so proud of this that you call yourself the queen of trolls? It's really unfortunate that you have nothing else in your life that gives you pride beyond harassing a real person on tumblr over a fictional character and/or because your friend told you to. I really hope you accomplish something someday that is a bit loftier than this. (I know you can do it! Do your best, buddy!)

You really think you fooled me? That's very funny, because even before I posted that first post, I could tell at the very least some of the asks were by the same person, because of you repeating yourself constantly, (for example, asking about my friend who runs a Graylu and Anti gr///via blog and thinking that you bullied her into deleting tumblr when she literally just blocked you lol) and also because of the terrible grammar. Oh my gosh guys 😂. I don’t look at tumblr for one second, and now I have a ton of hate asks!

This is legitimately hilarious!

Nothing like the toxic side of the Pro fandom shooting themselves in the foot by acting like actual toddlers over me disliking a fictional ship! ^^

But before I get to these funny asks, I have a post I’ve been working on that’ll set the stage for this—the prologue, if you will.

There’s a (very silly) reason I’ve been targeted, and it’s again so amusing.

I can’t wait to post it for y’all’s entertainment! Tumblr drama is always so interesting, isn’t it?

Thoughts on Eden’s Zero ?

That’s a great question! Unfortunately, I haven’t seen it yet.

Maybe it’s because I’ve given up all hope on Mashima’s writing skills thanks to how he’s sinking FT100q into the ground and because of *cough* gr///via existing, but I’m not really interested in checking out his other stories.

However, if y’all like it and recommend it, feel free to comment or send an ask why I should watch it! (Or why I shouldn’t!) I’d love to hear what y’all think about it since I’m not totally sure what it’s about.

Blatantly disregarded his feelings and kept making advances on him despite the fact that he repeatedly told her to leave him alone.

Tried to separate Gray from his friends because she regarded them as rivals for Gray's affection.

Stalked him to the point that Gray felt paranoid.

Emotionally manipulated him when she told him that she was the reason his father died saying all that shit about her not being able to love him anymore WTF.

She somehow knows where he is most of the time???

She is not only a danger to him but her fellow guildmates whenever she has one of her emotional outbursts.

Willing to kill someone if they hurt Gray,not thinking about how it would affect him. Because let's face it Gray would blame himself.

Keeps invading his personal space,even when he asked her to stop.

The many many times she has her weird little fantasies. This doesn't affect Gray directly but still.

Look Gru//via is not a healthy relationship at all.

These are just some of the things that Juvia has done that's really toxic.

I didn't like how she treated Lucy, I didn't like her obsession with Gray, and I thought she was annoying and not as strong as the others.

I honestly really hate Juvia. I hate how clingy she is. I don’t ship her and Gray at all. I really don’t like her and I don’t care what the rest of the fandom thinks about me.
