So, I'm a pervy girl who reads a ton of smutty stories. But not much fanfiction. Just isn't my thing usually. But while searching for some Phantom related thing I came on your story Like Pulling Teeth. At first I was just, oh, fanfiction, meh, and was going to back out. Then I saw kinky things in the tags so I decided to read on and... It's totally my new favorite bit of smut. I LOVE how delightfully screwed up it is. I hope that doesn't come across as insult, it is meant as a compliment. 🙂

I totally get what you're saying though about not normally vibing with fanfic, even for smut. I can be the same way, actually, and I'm not really thrilled with the terms "fanfiction" and "smut" as a rule! I tend to think of what I do as historical fiction/ erotica.

not to sound controversial but we need more stalker Erik fics. I feel like I've rarely found those? or it's like cute stalking where they get together in the end bc Erik is creepy for following his best friend's insta so closely not dark, dangerous, willing to do whatever it takes to get what he wants and what he wants is Charles stalker!Erik. on that note do you have any recs?

You know what, you’re right! There aren’t a ton of fics out there in fandom with  Erik as a stalker (or even dark!Erik, not really), though the stuff I’ve got bookmarked (see below) are all AMAZING.

Star Crossed Lovers + The Missus and the Ex

Haha Anon I feel like every fic I write with Charles and Logan follows this exact basic premise - Charles and Erik as star crossed lovers, with Logan being the current and Erik as the ex!

But I think the world needs more dark!Cherik so my idea would be a serial killers au with Charles as an amoral telepath who enjoys toying with his victims (maybe he uses their own worst fears against them by making them come true) and Erik as a vengeful angel of death with a thirst for blood (he’s angry at the world and wants to inflict maximum pain). They meet and fall in love and happily split their time between blistering hot sex and murdering people indiscriminately - and they don’t always keep those two things separate lol. 

Then something happens - maybe one of their victims fights back a bit too effectively, or they’re cornered by the FBI - and Charles is seriously injured, and he and Erik are split up and Erik is forced to flee the scene without him. Maybe Logan (is he a cab driver? or just a random passer by?) finds Charles and, mistaking him for a victim of a mutant hate crime or that he’s being illegally taken into custody (it happens way too often - Logan should know he’s been there), whisks him away someplace safe to recover. 

Needless to say Charles is pretty angry about being abandoned, whether Erik had a choice or not and the fact that he’s paralyzed below the waist now doesn’t help the cold fury that runs through his veins. And he absolutely detests the idea of anyone pitying him, so he’s pretty terrible to poor Logan who comes to visit him often and is determined to nurse him back to (relative) health. Something about Logan’s straightforward kindness though does eventually break through those VERY thick walls and Charles ends up genuinely falling for him, even if he can never be his true self around good guy Logan the way he could with bad guy Erik. 

And this is of course when Erik comes back into Charles’ life, and he even offers to end his serial killing ways to live a ‘normal’ life with him. But Charles isn’t sure that’s what he wants - he fell in love with Erik because of his particular brand of vicious crazy - nor is he sure he’s willing to just simply allow Logan to walk away….
