Ok so I just realized something about Monster High that could be potentially kinda dark if we take the source material of what the characters parents are supposed to be based on mythology/ folklore
Ok so Deuce Gorgon, son of Medusa, simple enough right? Well, uhh, not really. Particularly based on these two screen shots from the characters wiki that got me thinking on stuff
Well if this is going off what his offical wiki/character sheet has to go off and going off Medusa’s actual history in Greek mythology, I got a feeling that this has some pretty dark implications.
If I’m correct, this has the potential to mean that Deuce Gorgon is the son of Medusa and Poseidon, which, if true, is pretty f///ed when you know the mythology behind Medusa, which would also explain why Medusa doesn’t like talking about it. Also in the second screenshot this could mean that the events of Persus takibg Medusa’s head didnt go through, since she’s very clearly still alive in the storyline of monster high.
(Should probably add that I don’t think this is going on the versions of myths where Medusa was always a gorgon because if it had been the case, she probably wouldn’t have had issues saying who the father was, since the relationship was consensual between Poseidon and Medusa in those versions)
This also has implications on how old Deuce may actually be, because if Poseidon is his father like how I theorize he is, he would have had to be somehow be born during at least Ancient Greek times, which would actually probably make him just as old as Cleo De Nile (I mean, I know they’re still teens but you get my point)
So I’m sure this is just me theorizing over a kids show but I just felt like this needed to be pointed out. Take this w/ a grain of salt tho,

Alternative theory. Mayhaps Deuce could be the result of Perseus and Medusa. Maybe instead of Persus killing Medusa, they had a romance that ended up going really sour? Would explain how Deuce would’ve been born but not say Pegasus (from my previous theory about Poseidon potentially being Deuce’s dad, since in mythology Pegasus was only born after Medusa died). Would explain why Medusa again, doesn’t like talking about him and why she was not amused when Deuce named his let Perseus
