You went quiet. You thought you could catching Karma's phone while he thought you were sleeping. But clearly your stealth skills did not help you in the slightest.

"I, uhm...wanted a peek, okay?"

Karma chuckled.

"Well honey, if you wanted a peek - just tell me next time. Ok?"

You gulped. Based on his expression alone, there was no next time.

"....The password's Khazamina."

"Khazamina?" The word rolled off your tongue. "What kind of password is that?"

He crawled back into bed with you, pulling the sheets over him. He closed his eyes, and gently placed a kiss on your forehead. The intimidating smirk that was on his face fell into a grim, eerie look.

"Everything." The vampire clutched you tighter, his hold on you shaking slightly.

"It means everything...to me."

Yeahhh...

Karma is out of your league because he is the pinnacle of halfblood society. Regardless of your status, you are not fit to marry him - because you are an outcast to halfblood royalty and its circle. Parents and relatives have raised their children and children's children (🤮🤮🤮) to wed and seduce Karma, just to grab his title and let their lineage last for generations. But thanks to his tyrannical grandfather, the only way to get into the Sangre lineage is to wed them. And with Karma serving as an extra dowry, it is no wonder why rivals practically kill each other for the role.

But now things have changed. And now there is no more weddings to see.

Kallisto meanwhile, is insane by halfblood standards. "What do you mean you don't want to be next in line?", "Why don't you get your act together?", and "Why do you hang out with lesser company?" . My god he's heard it all, and frankly he could care less. Because compared to halfblood society, Kallisto is just showing his true colours. In his eyes, there's no need to act the fool, or dance around a subject. "If you're disgusting, then be disgusting." , he says.

As for "lesser company", he befriends people lower than his status because they are a lot more genuine than halfblood royalty. Friends of Kallisto know that they are messed up, and don't hide it. That's why Kallisto adores T'Abuelo, because even though he had committed crimes that was beyond immoral, he never made himself a saint. He simply got the job done to keep his grandchildren safe, and to uphold his wife's legacy. Though ruff and gruff, all brothers can attest that T'Abuelo has made decisions with them in mind, even though he shamelessly favoured Karma over the others. But I suppose that is the bare minimum.

Returning to the subject lol, due to Kallisto's open refusal to partake in halfblood affairs, he is seen as disgusting or boorish, having no table manners. He is seen as a vampire that is born without a brain (which is based on the gossip of him having a tumor). So to date him in their eyes is seen as pitying him, bestowing him a grace that he doesn't deserve. To halfbloods, he deserves to be exiled and forgotten. But this cannot happen, as he is brother to the current Sangre in charge. To shun him openly is to wish death (lol) so they can only gossip in secret.

I actually love Karma's new body type. Contrary to popular beliefs, Karma's new body is what an actual strongman looks like. People tend to think it's a person with abs and ripped muscles, but in actuality, it's someone who's a bit chubbier but has a lot of muscles. If you look at the competitors of 'The world's strongest man' competition, you'd see that the Karma you're drawing now shares a lot of similarities with their bodies.

You're both right, Anons! When I came across the strongest men on Pinterest and such, and found others who said similar, I felt like Karma needed a change of body type. Because as the other Anon said, Karma adding fat and knowing how to actually train his body is a form of growth and adds depth to his character.

Karma was never able to cut loose, since he was supposed to be perfect in every way, which made him unable to confront insecurities such as gaining fat. Even though Dark! Karma was athletic and such, it was a front, to impress people - and it worked. It worked with enemies, with his very few sets of 'friends', and his family - except you.

You didn't notice it at first, since he played it off as a joke, and hid his insecurity behind your back. But when he realized he was gaining the weight, you could see him struggling to cope. He started to ask questions about "being good enough", "going to the gym more", and "sticking to greens". The way he restricted himself was almost suffocating, terrifying almost.

So you spoke to him. Asked him what was wrong. And one by one, he shared bits and pieces, embarrassed beyond belief. Yet, you listened, and for the first time - told him it was okay. That he's valued. That he's human, and not a machine.

For a few weeks, he kept asking "Are you sure?" and "Am I really okay?" for a while. But you reassured him, and built up his confidence.

And now, he's a lot better. He may not win all of his fights, but at least compared to the past - he's willing to confront his insecurities head on. You love him more for it. And he loves you more because you were willing to help him heal from it. To not shame him for it. And weirdly (to him) still love him for it.

He hates his flaws. He despises it.

But as long as you're cheering him on, he's calm. He feels secure. He feels safe; safe enough to take one step at a time <3

Just very curious, what would have happened if Karma met MC before he left the Sangre family?

Maybe like, if Mc wasn't involved in the Sangre family or their world and Karma just met them by chance.

I think Karma would watch MC from afar, and watch them be happy. His heart could never bring MC into his world, and he considers it a blessing to just know they're okay, they're safe. However, he'd keep his watching to a bare minimum, since any interest in someone or something can be exploited by greedy members of his family, enemies, and the like.

But I have a feeling his heart wouldn't last long, watching you. He'd probably kidnap you and give you bare necessities, but give you the silent treatment. Dark! Karma compared to present Karma never had the opportunity to shed his nonchalant, stoic behavior, so you'd face that front and center. Fortunately, within the next few months, I'd say a year (if you are nice and managed to stay sane), he will come around.

In the case that you are "whiny" and "miserable", Dark! Karma won't punish you. He would just inch closer, and just stare at you some more, as if completely fascinated by you. He'd also NOT read the room and attempt to cuddle you, and if you really tempt him - bite and drink your blood, gobbling it up until you faint. After all, having a first love's bite is amazing, exciting even!

So yeah, it'd (probably) be an awkward situation for you both. Thank God he's a different monster lol

But back to your question - if Karma met Grim Reaper! MC than that would change A LOT of things lol. Because in the main plotline, he left his family to find MC himself. However under these circumstances, Karma would've remained as Cartel Heir! Karma for life.

Meanwhile, I can imagine Grim Reaper! MC being very close to Karma due to how often he commits murder, and so they would often be in the corner of Karma's eye. Hence, Karma - thinking that it is a sacrifice to some death god, commits countless deaths in hopes of gaining your affection.

Now, I imagine this would either (1) please you, (2) perplex you (aka "wtf?"), (3) upset you or (4) have no effect. Regardless, you wouldn't be able to do anything, since you cannot interact with the living.

However, when the time comes for you to collect Karma, you hear him say "I love you, Darling". Thinking that it's for a significant lover, you collect his spirit, but little did you know, that he was calling you - a poor little grim reaper, cursed to roam Earth for souls.

And so, after you hear his voice calling you constantly over and over again...you decided to reward his stubbornness and desperation.

You decided - to finally give love a second chance.

As a recent STEM grad I’m biased towards saying he gives off real physical therapy or nutrition energy with his insistence on cooking for us and taking care of us ☝️🤓 but also he kinda feels like a comp sci guy specifically with data analysis/entry due to how thorough his stalking is,,,,

And real, Karma is a huge favorite both on the blog and in my life...we're such freaks, aren't we?

Also not going to lie, Karma doesn't shame AO3 fanfics. He doesn't mind you talking about your favourite characters because they don't exist. Not in this world, at least. Whether it is an actor or actress playing the role, he knows that the role doesn't exist. He's not that erratic.

Ok so, Karma has never been to college, because he got a one-on-one top-notch homeschool education. Professionals from various walks of life taught him various subjects, which is why he's able to pick up or speak languages fluently. He also had to learnt finance, accounting, literature, history, law, physical combat, psychology and many more as he was next in line. And to be a leader of such a clandestine organisation, Karma had to be both mentally and physically strong.

But it was a lot of pressure, and took most of his childhood away, especially in his upper teenage years. Very rarely was he able to communicate with his brothers, so he'd often sneak out or stay up late at nights to make sure they were okay, and to see how they were doing. As he became more confident, he kept doing it until he was caught. Which, expectedly, angered T'Abuelo and got him severely punished.

So in the case of nutrition and computer programming, it is actually more of a hobby that blossomed in his years when he was the leader of the Sangres before escaping it entirely. He considers these hobbies therapeutical, and also challenging - as those were the subjects that had the least pressure.

In terms of the rest of their brothers:

Kallisto started with top-notch education but due to his tumor his lessons significantly dwindled. As a way to "ease his mind", he was sent to private school to continue his studies. However he skipped a lot of classes lol

Karma's 3rd brother was in the exact same program, but had to stop due to finances.

Karma's 4th brother didn't have the chance to get into the program due to finances, so they went to public schools. Same for the 5th.

If he was able to choose a major I'd think he would go for Nutritional Sciences, Woodworking and Leatherworking and Upholstery. He'd say it's "nothing too big" or "it's pretty chill" .
