A little spicy? Serial killer Anthony demands copious amounts of spice, methinks. I love the beginning! Beautifully written.
(Have I ever asked if you'd write a Vampanthony?)
I can see Kate calling bullshit on Anthony's "serial killer gene" theory.
Oh the snippet is a little spicy, but the fic itself would be hard E haha. Sex and murder aplenty. A great fic kink combo. My vague idea is that Anthony recognizes a fellow deviant in Kate, but she's resisted her urges so far. He kidnaps her (or she goes semi-willingly in exchange for financial support for her family) and tries to encourage her to submit to her true nature. Their relationship gets intimate and intense, but he won't give her everything she wants until she finally kills.
I've gotten a few requests for a vampire fic, but I'm not too familiar with vampire lore. I know there are a few great ones in the fandom. A vamp Kate would be super hot too. Anthony would be like yes bite me, I'd happily die this way.
She tells you she loves you all the time though. And you start to rationalise it like its really not that bad. She only hits you every once in a while. Kate really loves you and she takes good care of you.
-💜
She buys you food, clothes, medicine, and anything you want and she’ll remind you that you’re hers and only hers. Imagine yelena coming over after Kate beats you up and when Kate leaves you beg Yelena for help. Unfortunately for you, Yelena believes you - but - she tells Kate that you’re running your mouth-
Again maybe I’m re-writing Season 3 with a non-possessed but VERY dark Kate - because Blood Magic. Link to Part 1 and Part 2 if you need to catch up.
*Warning dark and violent content referencing sexual assault and murder, adult themes, and language (still limited editing. lol)
Now without further ado, let’s go into the nights.
The Rise of Dark Kate - Part 3
Six Months Prior
Kate walked for miles naked in the desert with the wind and rain accompanying her journey. She paused as she heard the familiar sounds of cars and stopped, shifting through the bag and pulling on a simple cotton dress. The fabric clung to her soaked skin and although pointless she put on her flip-flops.
There was a light in the distance, a motel. Barely any cars in the lot. She made her way down the hill and paced across the lot, looking right and left before going to the room the farthest from the office and knocking on the door, no answer. She realized the tool she was going for, her bump-key, wasn’t in her bag nor was an old credit card. No bag of tricks right now. Only clothes.
“Did you lock yourself out?” An older woman pushing a cleaning cart asked her in Spanish and Kate nodded. “I already cleaned the room. It looked like you already checked out. Here you are.” The woman unlocked the door and opened it for Kate.
Kate nodded again, not knowing if blood would pour from her mouth if she opened it. She entered the room as echoes from the past played.
“This is a last-ditch thing. It’s a if you need a shower and you have no cash. If you get in without paying, clean up, then run. Don’t risk the nap no matter how much you want it, Kid.”
Seth Gecko the man, who’d she run away from the Twister with. What had Richie called it? A Mexican Honeymoon? It had been no Honeymoon.
Leaving the bathroom door partially open, she stripped again and tested the water coming from the showerhead. It warmed up quickly and she climbed in to take advantage, scrubbing her skin and hair with the bar soap. Her fingers trailed over her mid-section, no hole, not even a scar. How had she healed? How was she alive?
She needed money. Needed food. Needed weapons. Oculto. He’d had all of those things. His people wouldn’t expect her to return. She would need to be careful if she snuck onto the grounds. Her hand slipped over her chest, or she would need to be tempting. She could use her body to her advantage.
A crash in the room made Kate jump. She spat towards the drain a mix of blood and saliva tinging the water pink. She didn’t turn off the shower, but got out to have more solid footing. Kate looked in the mirror catching the reflection of the cleaning woman in it. Her eyes were now inhuman yellow. Kate didn’t have any weapons, this wasn’t going to go well.
“I know this isn’t your room. Come out and apologize and I might turn you instead of draining you dry.”
Kate looked around the bathroom again and noticed the hairdryer attached to the wall. It wasn’t ideal, but maybe…
The creature stuck her head into the bathroom and Kate looped the cord around its neck. The retaliation was instant. Kate was thrown against the dirty mirror, glass shattering the shards embedding in her back. She ground her teeth together instead of crying out. She would not die. Kate pulled the cord as tight as she could, kicking at the creature as it snarled at her.
The culebra reached back and slashed Kate’s legs taring long lines from hip to ankle. Kate put everything she had into her next shove knocking it to the floor. Grateful for the distance between them, Kate ignored the pain, and blood dripping down her legs. Grabbing the top of the toilet tank she brought it down on the creature's head twice before tripping into the room and snagging the nightstand. She needed something that would pierce it.
“I will kill you!” The culebra stood up and growled inhumanely at Kate.
She ran full speed driving the legs of the nightstand into the culebra, who dug her nails into Kate’s face as it screamed in agony. Her legs were weak as the fire and ash began to float around her and the creature disappeared.
Kate felt instantly lightheaded and she started to laugh. The injuries on her legs vanished. She laid back on the dirty floor sighing almost feeling drunk on her own survival. Euphoria replacing the pain. The shower was still going, she needed to turn it off after cleaning off the blood.
Forcing herself up, she looked at herself in the cracked mirror. There were no marks on her face, nothing. She turned away and looked over her shoulder, no marks from the glass or creature's nails. Killing it had healed her. The ash and fire had knitted her wounds back together. There was no pain. She felt better than she had before the fight.
Kate stepped back under the still-hot water, tipping back her head to let the water run down her face. Scrubbing herself clean again she smiled. She was still hungry, but she had energy again. Feeling the same bliss she’d felt after Tanner had disappeared into nothing. Whatever had revived her healed her again. “I’ll rid the world of them. Every last one. You did not die for nothing.”
Her hands moved down her body, and she moaned as she explored herself. Nothing and no one could stop her. She the instrument of the demise of monsters. She was power. She would cleanse the world of the unclean.
.:.
Present Day
Freddie walked out of the station to see Ximena standing at his car under an umbrella. He narrowed his eyes, “We have a rule. I get to see my family every day. You can’t just show up here.”
“I’m afraid I didn’t have a choice. We’ve had another massacre this one in Needville. My people are watching the doors, so you can look over the scene like you requested last time.”
He sighed. He did request that. “Alright get in the back. You still have a blanket back there.”
She nodded and pulled the blanket over herself as he pulled out of the parking lot. “Once the sun goes down, I can take over driving for you. So you can take a nap.”
“Who said I need a nap?”
“You, all the time, Peacekeeper.” She chuckled. “Your wife said I should ask you to rest.”
“I’m sure she did.”
The drive was quiet except for a few comments back and forth about how these incidents were becoming more common. Ximena’s thought was that it must be linked to the Brasa and whatever the sun god was after.
They nodded to the security and walked through the door. It looked almost hazy inside the house and Freddie tried the light switch, but it didn’t work. He clicked on his flashlight and walked the scene.
“This doesn’t look like the other worship houses.” Ximena’s expression betrayed her concern.
“What’s different about it?” He moved the light around the room. There was ash on the floor: the immolation of dead culebras was a telltale sign of the death. The furniture was destroyed and blood trailed up the walls from the struggle. It looked like a massacre. His culebra partner was seeing something else.
“Brasa has burned every alter he’s come across and this one isn’t burned. Plus, this looks like a fight. Culebras like this wouldn’t have been able to put up a fight against him.” She inclined her head to the side as she swept her finger up one of the lines of blood and put her finger in her mouth.
Freddie barely had time to catch her as Ximena lost her balance. “Whoa, Ximena. Are you okay? What happened?”
She got her feet back under herself but was still stumbling. “I…there’s something off about the blood.”
“Off how?” He kept ahold of her arm walking them backward until she was up against a wall.
“I don’t know how to describe it.” Her hand flattened against the wall and she drew in long slow breaths. “I bit someone on drugs once and that’s as close as I can compare. But it’s still not right. It’s angry, it tastes like rage. But it doesn’t taste fully alive.”
“Culebra blood?”
Ximena didn’t answer instead, she threw up a pool of blood onto the floor, convulsions rocking her body as it rejected anything that was in her system.
“Holy shit! Ximena?!?” Freddie gasped as she slid to the ground, her claws extending and tearing grooves into the floor. He raced out to the porch and held his hand out to the culebra standing guard, “Give me your emergency blood. I know she has you keep some on you when we’re in the burbs!”
Instinctively the younger culebra tapped his pocket looking for his flask. “Sorry Peacekeeper, I just finished it off. I’ve been here all day. What’s wrong?”
“It’s Ximena. Something’s wrong with her.”
They raced back into the house, where a slip of a culebra was holding a small cup to Ximena’s lips.
“It’s all I have. I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I should have warned you. I was too scared to come out of hiding.” The young woman’s lighter brown eyes were full of tears as she helped Ximena.
“Go ahead and go back out. See if anyone on your team has any stashed.” Freddie instructed the guard who nodded and took off in a rush.
Freddie knelt down next to Ximena and the stranger, who’d come from seemly nowhere. “I’m Freddie. Thank you for helping Ximena. Who are you? Were you here when the attack happened?”
“I was. My name is Araseli.”
“Pretty name. Can you tell us what happened here?” He tried to be as gentle as possible, Araseli was obviously scared.
She pulled her hands tight to her chest, as if trying to protect herself. “It was awful. She slaughtered everyone and she couldn’t be stopped. Every time she killed one of us, it was as if her wounds were healed by magic. She tortured our priest before she killed him.” Araseli’s lip trembled as she spoke, eyes darting around the room. She was more scared than she was terrified.
Ximena coughed, her hand still gripped on Freddie’s arm. “You’re sure it was a woman? Not a man wearing gloves in a dark coat?”
“No, I didn’t see a man. Only her. We thought she was like you, a Peacekeeper. She was so powerful.”
Freddie chuckled, “I’m not so powerful, only venom-proof. What did this woman look like?”
“She looked younger than me, white skin, short brown hair, but I’m not sure about her eyes. I wasn’t close enough. She had weapons, a crossbow with black-tipped arrows, a gun with a silencer, and knives. She used knives on the priest.”
He couldn’t think of anyone who matched that description. “Was she tall? Short? Heavy? Thin?”
“Short. Small, but not thin, and not heavy. She kept singing this awful melody, as she searched our house. She moved like an animal.” Araseli pulled on her hair.
It was such an odd description for a culebra to use. And singing while she searched? That seemed like the torture was as much of the plan as the killing was. Whatever she was it seemed like she wanted to play with her kills.
Ximena touched Araseli’s hand. “Can you remember anything else? What she was after? Did she say anything?”
“She just kept saying she was here to cleanse the earth of us. That none of us were allowed to walk. That we were going back to hell. She made the priest tell her about the lodge. I think there was a meeting there tonight.” Araseli started to cry again. “She called La Diosa a monster and said she was going to kill her.”
“Peacekeeper. We need to go! Now.” Ximena managed to get up on her feet.
“Yup.” Freddie nodded to the girl before they walked out of the house. “So how bad is this?”
“If you thought it was chaos out here without the Lords, imagine how bad it’ll be without faith.”
“I’ll call Margaret, tell her I’m not coming home tonight.”
“I need to feed.”
He sighed, he hated when they had to find her a victim on the fly. “I know a place, no killing.”
“I promise, Peacekeeper.”
.:.
“Richard!” Seth’s voice bellowed through the catacombs under Jed’s. He rounded the corner on a mission to find his dumbass brother. Nearly, colliding with Kalinda he skidded to a stop, “Hey Peaches, have you seen my brother?”
“Mr. Richard told me not to tell you that he’s in the storage room.” She bit her lower lip, snaggle tooth fang sticking out slightly as she'd partially transformed at being startled.
“Good girl. Take an extra twenty from the register before you head home.”
She inclined her head to the side, “I’m allowed to leave? I thought you wanted me to stay here until we figured things out.”
“Fuck. You’re right. Take the money and go take a nap in one of the rooms down here.” He waved her off and stormed into the storage room.
“What the fuck are you doing, Richard?!? We’ve got a half a dozen bloodsuckers in our garage and they don’t exactly want to talk to me.”
“It’s because you’re a dick.” Richie’s disembodied voice came from somewhere in the crate.
“What?”
“I said.” Richie jumped down from the crate he was on, landing next to Seth holding a book in his hands. “You’re a dick.”
“Yeah, I heard that part. What’s with the book?”
“We took it from Tanner’s I need to research that necklace further.” Richie shook it.
Seth pushed him forward. “Okay. Fine, but later, when we don’t have company. How can you remember that Tanner wrote about the necklace, but not where you found it?”
Richie set the book on his desk as they paced by it and shrugged. He opened his mouth to say something else, but Kalinda appeared in the hallway. She squeaked when she saw Richie and ducked into the broom closet.
“Did she tell you where I was?” Richie asked.
“No. Keep walking.” Seth gave this brother another shove but wrapped his knuckles against the closet door. “Kalinda, he’s not gonna do anything to you. Go find an actual room to sleep in.”
Crazy kid. He followed behind Richie and put his game face on before they walked into the garage where their company was already hissing back and forth. Fantastic.
Richie had stopped short of the garage where all the madness was currently occurring and was talking to someone on the phone, he didn’t look happy. “Yeah, I’ll let him know. We’ve got a situation at our place, call you when it settles down.”
“Who was that?”
“Ranger White-Hat, there was another massacre. Had a survivor this time. Said it was a woman that took them out.”
“I thought the sun-god that killed the lords was a dude.”
“It was, which means…”
“Which means there’s even more shit comin’ our way. Great.”
....
Oh the plot be thickening. Death continues on the next episode.
👾 - *Bursts in through the front door* okay but if Kate Bishop, Rio Vidal and Sam Carpenter kidnapped me. Locked me in their basement. Used me and treated me as their pet. I would be SO OKAY WITH THAT.
I just had to say that.
Thank you.
I shall now go bathe in holy water. *walks out*
Oh!
I…. I need all three of them at the same time now. For scientific purposes
But them locking you in the basement, only coming to see you to use you, to bathe you and to feed you- they never speak directly at you-
Like shes so sweet and goofy most of the time but then theres that occasional time where shes so frustrated and just ends up slapping you. And then that happens more and more. Until eventually shes just smiling goofily at you while she slaps you until you cry
-💜
Yesss and at first she plays it off as if she’s sorry and that she wasn’t thinking and she’ll buy you something to make up for hurting you. And so, when she stops apologizing she just buys you things to keep you quiet
Threatening to leave her when she beats you and she’s just like “aww, youre a big tough girl, huh? Howre gonna do that? You didnt even buy the clothes on your back”
-💜
“Aww you wanna leave? Give me back everything I’ve bought you.” God she would be so mean and when you threaten to tell Clint, she laughs “he’s not going to believe you.”
I love toxic Kate sm because like her buying me pretty dresses and jewellery and toys but then her also using all that spoiling as an excuse to slap me around and treat me like her bitch
-💜
YEESSSS. Her saying: I bought you that new game you wanted. The least you can do is thank me when I slap you-
