Me rn: it’s fine. It’s fine. I can steer towards the fluff and hopefully away from the angst. I got this. *begins playing the playlist for people who are the second option* NO-

Garmadon’s Oni brain glanced at Clouse and thought “Who is this? Playmate? Play!” Thus proceeded with play fighting.

Clouse was confused at Garm’s Oni habits but he did find it absolutely funny when he left an onion out and watch the taller man freak out and hiss at it. He even watched him try to slap it and jump away a millisecond later.

Years later, he still laughs about Garm’s stupid Oni habit of being scared of an onion. He’ll most definitely keep one close just to see the old man look at it menacingly and try to swat it away.

Imagining Garmadon’s Oni form slipping out more and Clouse just kinda finds his colors a little pretty, if he’s not envious at how pretty his form is.

Consider Clouse trying to take a stance for a spell he’s had trouble for a long time and Garmadon just helps him correct it and gets in close, which made the mage kinda flustered and lose focus on what he was doing.

Admittedly small moments of angst happened but it wasn’t serious and Garm was surprisingly comforting to Clouse. Guess Garmadon having experience with a few partners in the emotional department was alright.

Garmadon surprisingly warm. Clouse found that out the hard way that when he got stuck bedridden and Garm decided to play personal heater to him.

Personal heater things gets cuter when Garm’s holding him close with his wings. And yes his tail just wags a bit when Clouse just accepts his fate in being buried by the Oni man.

Chen encouraged them to see each other and was entertained by the idea of them dating.

It goes into DarkArtsShipping territory when Garmadon’s dragon side comes out saying that “you know dragons are Poly and bi right?” Chen basically liked that idea, no complications between them and maybe that’s where Clouse began liking the attention.

(It gets angsty. I’m sorry I tried-) Unfortunately it lead to Garm soaking up more praise from Chen and unintentionally looking like he left Clouse in the dust. Perhaps somewhere around the poly relationship is where Clouse began being bitter.

Let’s just think about Garm reaching and holding Clouse’s arm while they’re both getting sucked into the Cursed Realm. Garm wants to keep holding on but Clouse knows the portal won’t close until one of them goes. (“No! No. You can still close it. You don’t have to go.” “Magic doesn’t work like that.”) Clouse purposely slips and let’s it happen.. Suddenly the phrase “I hate magic” gives different meaning.

Yeah it’s messed up really.

Garmadon’s been around over a thousand years, practically making him older than any of the flings we know of so he probably knows what he likes.

Like his Oni part of consciousness, he likes the power any of his flings/mates hold. He doesn’t mind the strength and fight that happens. Just means stronger young for Oni or a fight for dominance over others.

And the dragon part of the brain would mean he didn’t mind the multiple partners thing, if dragons thought more like real life lizards instead of birds. Basically just a come and go in order to not die out. Also dragons would probably find someone more fitting for the lifelong mate thing anyway if any hatchlings were strong out of that one and only the one. (So basically when Garm split from Misako after so long, it messed him up bad and Krux had to make sure he didn’t do anything... drastic.)

What he does mind however, is the fact that Clouse was absolutely pissed at him for taking Chen’s attention away from him with so much ease. And Clouse had to work for that attention for the longest time. That’s honestly one of the reasons why Clouse didn’t like the Master of Amber either. Even though she didn’t become Chen’s wife in my canon, she still managed to get him away for a while.

The whole ‘Lord’ title tore apart what could’ve happened. Arguments were thrown back and forth until they became physical. A few times, they were shoving each other around. Sometimes, they left with cuts and bruises. Other times, there was a broken bone or something fractured, if not any furniture or equipment broken. It was a constant fight for dominance, if not at times for survival. (That’s not exactly healthy if a relationship somehow came out of that.)

It got worse after Clouse threw him off completely one time and Garm just wasn’t having it anymore and his monster form almost straight up broke him, if it weren’t for Clouse using magic at the second to last moment.

Garmadon leaves after that and when Clouse saw that Garm just jumped from him to Krux, seeing how far Krux was falling apart and becoming pretty boy putty in Garmadon’s hands, oh ho ho! He was absolutely all for hurting them from the inside out. (Clouse: Alright Garm.. You wanna play around like that? Fine. Let’s fucking play.)

Years later, Clouse already grew back closer to Chen, refusing to leave him, because at least Chen didn’t bounce around between people as Garm did back then and he was actually there to talk him through a lot and they’d at least comfort one another where Garm wouldn’t.

Edit: The tension between them wasn’t old affections, because that wasn’t there to begin with. It was remembering what they both did to one another. Garmadon was guilty for quite a bit mostly about losing his mind to his destructive Oni half right on him before they separated and he still was guilty afterwards. Meanwhile Clouse hadn’t let go of the hate for him that he brewed inside and still had the scars to prove it.

Chen thought it differently and got it confused for a short while before hearing Clouse insist on not leaving them alone together. (“Master.. please don’t do that again... don’t leave me alone with him..” “... Alright. If you didn’t like it, then I won’t.” “...You promise, Master?” “Clousey, I may be a villain but I at least take care of my followers first before anyone else.. especially you, my mage man.” “.. Even though you’re trying to favor that other Elemental Master?” “Pshh.. They come and go, this is just a phase for me, but hey, at least you stayed. Isn’t that something, Clousey?” “.. Yeah.. it is..”)

Basically as I said in another ask, Clouse is what Krux could’ve been if Garm had no care for him either and if Krux didn’t catch feelings for him in the middle of it all.

How is Garmadon with rest of his exes? I know with Ray they're cool with each other and with Krux some bitterness and some lingering feelings there, but what about Chen and Clouse. With Chen, I don't think he would really care and probably thinks that Garmadon was the one who missed out. With Clouse, I think that he would be embarrassed(?) that it would be brought up and just think that it was poor taste on his part.

Yeah, Ray and him are friends by now and they were fine with moving on.

Krux of course is still upset but also still trying not to fall back to him.

Chen? Oh boy. Quite a scandal. Not exactly much of a relationship. It was more like this. “See Garmadon. I don’t mind if you and Clousey have play dates, but just know whatever is his is also mine too. And vice versa. We agreed on that a while before you came around... So if you’re his, then you’re mine too. It’s simple.” Maybe a codependency. And yeah he would be the type to think Garmadon’s the one that missed out.

Now Clouse? Yeah, to him, it’s embarrassing. He was actually bitter that Garmadon came in and just took Chen’s attention away from him so easily after he worked so hard under him for so long. He was always fighting him and somehow somewhere along the way there was hate sex and Clouse accidentally found out about Garm’s feral Dragon-Oni tendencies and well... it didn’t end too well.

The two just carried so much tension in the Tournament of Elements Chen could’ve cut through it. (Even though Chen didn’t appreciate Garmadon almost breaking his mage man and he wasn’t looking for a repeat, despite trying to set them up a few times. Chen only stopped when Clouse said to.)

Even during season 4, Garmadon’s wondering “why the hell did you stay with Chen? You knew he was crazy.” And Clouse just retaliates “I know but at least he isn’t crazy enough to jump partners and in between relationships. You’d know all about that.”

Clouse is quite possibly what Krux would’ve been had he not caught feelings for him in the middle of it all and not even have Garm care for him. They’re on a different level of closeness to Garmadon. Clouse doesn’t even know his first name so it means something for Krux, Ray and Koko to know.

So as I’ve learned in my search for mythical creature knowledge to use in my fic universe I’ve come upon something.

Dragons are known for hoarding treasures as they do

But it also turns out that Oni do the same too (even swallowing it and regurgitating it to keep it safe but that’s besides the point.)

And Garmadon could very well have kept those same habits (aside from the swallowing down treasure part because his human body wouldn’t handle that).

Anyways, PolyGarm has also become more and more apparent in my mind and instead of being sensible like I wish my thought process would be, it heads into this direction—

What if Garmadon has the potential to be a sugar daddy and has a few sugar babies?

I love my thought process sometimes but there are times where I should hate it too!

I think it will be easier to figure out who Garmadon hasn't had a fling with

Yeah it would be. Everyone else in the Elemental Alliance wasn’t part of his flings except for Ray (until Maya got him and it was honestly the most healthy break off Garm had with someone) and Krux (which didn’t end well clearly).

Garmadon is a bi chaotic sweetheart dumbass of a half Oni man and he couldn’t be stopped.

Edit: And yes the only ones who ever knew Garmadon’s full name was a few of his flings but those were the ones he was considerate and caring to.
