TASK 002: WELCOME HOME

Location: Columbus Ave Apartments - Upper West Side, Manhattan 

Roommates: None

Neighbours: Leyla Binici

It was the dark grey concrete walls that drew Ken to the place, then the view and finally the location. Central and so close to everything, it was the perfect thing for him. The apartment itself is quite spacious, with large bedroom and an office space, Ken easily looked past the somewhat small kitchen since it wouldn’t get used much anyway. 

Moody and dark colours are his preferred aesthetics and that is very clear in his décor, but there’s plenty of light from the double doors that open into the balcony from both the living room and his bedroom. You won’t find any ‘pops’ of colour though, it’s all muted and simple.

While his bedroom doesn’t have an ensuite, it does have the next best thing which is a walk in closet, something Ken can’t do without. Even though there is a balcony out his bedroom that offers a decent view of Central Park, for the best view Ken can be found at Leyla’s penthouse. 

First thing your muse does when coming home?

The minute he steps in, the shoes come off and get stored in a hidden rack in a closet by the door, then after dumping his work things in his office he’d head out onto the balcony and just stare as the city zooms by.

Task 002: Welcome Home

Apartment Specs: 5 bedroom, 1 locker style bathroom, full living room & kitchen plus full rooftop access.

Roommates: Eliot Isayev & Lysander Rai

Brycen shares a room with his dog Freddie who has his own section of the room just for himself.

The first thing Brycen does when he gets home is showers, and then goes and takes Freddie out for a long two hour walk. He usually depending on his shift will then come back and attempt to cook something although his cooking skills are terrible.

Roommates: Leyla Binici, Logan Hastings, Ilana Reed, Remi Owens  Neighbors: Saint James-Binici, Willow James Address: 1001 Union ST, APT D, Brooklyn, NY, 11225

Mira currently lives in a five bedroom apartment owned by one of her roommates, Leyla Binici. She specifically angled towards living here upon learning that the NYC Coven’s Supreme also controlled the element of fire. A lifetime ago, her apartment would be littered with newspaper clippings, sketches, far too many pens, and badly taken photos of Max, [TBA], her mother, and other Seraphs covering the walls. Now? Her intent is for New York to only be temporary until her flames can be permanently extinguished, so her room is mostly empty, other than a stack of books/notebooks she’s acquired, a small houseplant from her roommate Ilana, and a jewelry container that held her last keepsake of her mother; one she unfortunately lost at a recent yacht party. The room is usually locked and empty of Mira, too, as she spends most of her time working at Neon Nights, occasionally at the Apothecary, researching at the local library, or reading/sketching on the rooftop. Sleeping only leads to unwanted memories.

T A S K  0 0 2 W E L C O M E  H O M E

Lucian lives in an apartment above Neon Nights following him purchasing the bar and moving back to Brooklyn from Staten Island. He has lived there for approximately three months. The apartment was converted from a mezzanine above the bar by the last owner so there is access to the apartment from the bar by a staircase that it blocked off to customers, or there is access by the ally to the side of the bar, which Lucian uses as his main entrance to the apartment. There is a main bedroom and a storage area that is a bit bigger than a queen size bed that Lucian is in the process of converting into a bedroom for Liam. The apartment is very styled from the previous owner who left Lu his furniture, Lu has kept most of it intact, but added large bookshelves to one wall to hold all his books. 

When Lucian gets home the first thing he does is turn on music, there is an audio system through the apartment and he has a google home to run this. Until Liam arrived, Lucian lived in the apartment alone and allowed his siblings to crash on his couch whenever they liked. If he was not planning on sleeping he would also allow anyone who worked at Neon Nights to crash on his couch, but wouldn't do this if he was too tired in case he had nightmares.

Ace’s Apartment

Ace lives above the shop. She has for years even before she bought the place from Dan six years ago. She has an entrance that leads into the shop and an exterior entrance.

Vada and Remi’s Apartment

It’s pretty self explanatory, Vada likes plants and Remi likes colors. Wasn’t isn’t included is Vada’s crystal collection that Alden has been scolded for calling them “rocks.” Also what isn’t included is Alden, because he has his own apartment.

Task 002: Welcome Home

Location: Mobile, but usually parked in The Bronx nearby the Wolf Den

Roommates: N/A

With the Nomads, Lysander lived the better part of their life out of RVs and campers. This one was a hand-me-down from an elder member of the pack and was Ly’s pride and joy until moving to New York and feeling so suddenly out of place with it. In their heart they still love it and could never part with it, but the pressure to live somewhere more practical is starting to weigh on them. 

Since the space is tight, Lys doesn’t spend a lot of their time just hanging out in the van, but the first thing they do when they get home is usually making some tea, setting up the bed, and curling up with Hecate and a good book. It’s the place where their façade drops and they can relax into themself and their softer, more vulnerable side.
