YES!!! Official depictions of dragons holding things with their wings! I don’t think it was ever described in the books, but I always headcanoned them carrying things with their wing fingers while walking, so they don’t have to hobble around on three legs when they have perfectly functional gripping digits on their wings. Something interesting in the Darkstalker GN. During the scene where Clearsight is flooded with bad futures, there's this image of Darkstalker attacking dragons with plants that wasn't described in the original book. You may notice DS eye's aren't colored in, but this isn't a coloring error, as we know of a certain evil plant that make's dragons eyes roll to the back of their heads. I think this is our first look at the Breath of Evil, and somehow someway in some terrible future, Darkstalker gets possessed by it. While I'm sure this is just an easter egg, it does bring up many questions. When does this take place? How did the BoE get to Pyrrhia? How did Darkstalker 1 not see it coming and 2 manage to get possessed by it? Cottonmouth is at this point stuck in the cavern, so how could this happen? I'm sure some clever fanfic writer could figure this out, but it's a crazy alternate future to consider.

WoF fans after acting like any critique on Mike Holmes’ art is a crime against humanity and then bitching about the dumbest fucking details with Jake Parker’s art

#I think they both have strengths and weaknesses #I also think people should be able to critique whichever one they want #I’m not saying disliking Jake’s art is bad I just don’t like the hypocrisy when it comes to the mainseries comics #Mike Holmes isn’t some unpaid artist doing this out of passion he’s a professional whose books we pay for #so it’s not always rude to point out flaws in his artwork #both comics have wonky panels but both comics also handle the dramatic/important scenes very well #I personally think holmes is better at expressions and parker is better at anatomy #anyways fuck my tags are always longer than my posts #wings of fire #wof #wings of fire graphic novel #darkstalker legends #darkstalker gn #mike holmes #jake parker

I know it's been a million years since I posted to this account (artblock is smelly and bad) and is currently late at night in my timezone but I just saw a new Amazon listing preview of the upcoming Darkstalker Graphic novel and I have two thoughts:

It looks great! Even from the little preview you can tell the illustrator got more confident drawing dragons over the course of the novel, and the SeaWings have good and appealing designs.

Why is Fathom not fat

#Literally the first thing I noticed when looking at it #Like. He canonically looks a lot like Turtle. And Turtle is canonically described as at least chubby #Obviously people can look similar and be different weights but they're stated to look *really* simmilar and also just #Weight is still significantly taken into consideration by most when people are being compared #Maybe this was a baseless assumption idk #Turtle was noticeably chubby in the graphic novels and arguably at least a little on the book cover #And I always assumed fathom had at least a somewhat similar build to him #It's not like. Immersion and life ruining or anything just a lil disappointing #wings of fire #wof #fathom wof #darkstalker gn #darkstalker graphic novel

Also wanna highlight the way Jake Parker draws wings.
