Other than the 'What if Valla never fell' fanfic, do you have any other fics in the works? Might be an idea if you're getting stuck on Darkhearts..

Alright, so I gotta remind you all that these are just ideas. There likely won’t go anywhere.

A Corrin in the Awakening World AU: This would feature a Corrin that falls in love with one of the Awakening Trio and leaves with them back to Ylisse before the events of the game can happen. I’m leaning towards a Corrin/Selena pairing for this one, in all honesty, with the Plegia/Plegian culture I’ve already established. Hoshido/Nohr would discover this, and then…stuff happens.

Corrin Twins AU: This would be a revelation!AU where Mikoto could only save one of her children, whilst the other was left in Valla and raised by Anankos. The Vallite!Twin would act as a major antagonist, of course. At least to start.

A Grima as Corrin AU: Speaks for itself really. It would be another revelation!AU, where after their ‘final’ defeat in Awakening, Grima is reincarnated into Corrin. Obvious shenanigans ensure.

Why did the Awakening Trio stay in Nohr?

An interesting question!

The short version is that just after the end of the Plegia-Ylisse War (where Robin and Chrom died), Severa, Owain and Inigo basically bailed. I hinted at Lucina doing a great and terrible ‘something’ back in Darkworlds, which made the trio have no desire to stay.

Plus: Inigo’s home was burned down, Severa’s nation was all but wiped out, and Owain’s cousin did ‘something’ so bad that he practically rejects his family history.

In Nohr, Inigo, as Laslow, found a wife and had a daughter with her, and gained a Lord/King worth serving. Severa, as Selena, found love in the form of Camilla and Beruka. Owain, as Odin, gained friends in Niles and Leo(until he goes chasing after Morgan and Ophelia).

What's going on with Kana? Her story just kinda..didn't go anywhere in Darkhearts? Is she getting a bigger role in Darkthrones?

Kana’s story in Darkhearts was hard to write, due in no small part due to her age. She’s only eight, after all.

But yes, she is one of the central characters in my current Darkthrones plan, with a fairly integral part in the plot. 

That might change due to…stuff. I’m finding it hard to write Darkhearts right now, since I know what I want to write, just not the stuff I need to write to get there.

Why did the Kitsune and Wolfskins join Corrin?

For the simple reason of equality. In the Fates!Verse, it’s mentioned that they are hunted sometimes. Someone that is offering not only a new home and protection, but actual equality? That’s not something they can afford to ignore, and once they confirmed that the offer was sound, they jumped at it.

(Then again, they jump at lots of stuff)

Does Merry have an actual endgame? She just seems to be sitting in the background making bread and laughing.

Short answer: Maybe

Long answer:….Really maybe.

This is a hard one to answer, given how tied to the next few chapters Merry is. So forgive me if I just leave it at ‘Maybe’.

Do I spy Black Lagoon's vampire twins in Castor and Pollux?

Indeed! ‘The Terrible Twosome’ were partially inspire by Hansel and Gretel, with a dash of Jaime and Cersei thrown in for good measure.

Fun fact!: They see themselves as one person. Castor is more emotional and impulsive. Pollux is more thoughtful and logical (although frankly, they are both batshit insane)
