And it’s done. Well, done-ish... still needs a block and those ends sewn in,, but off the needles nonetheless. . Probably the number one question i get in my inbox is about alternating Skeins so I thought I’d share my thoughts on that. . Yes, I recommend alternating Skeins. Small batch hand dyed yarn just requires it for consistency. . For colorwork sweaters, I work one skein on the yoke and begin alternating as soo as the colorwork section is complete. I’m not terribly picky about these things so that satisfies my need for consistency, it might be different for you and that’s ok. I alternate 2 different Skeins every 3 rows, wrapping the yarn at every row. That’s keeps things pretty simple and it’s easy to remember. . As for the sleeves, sometimes I alternate and sometimes I don’t. If I know the sleeves wk take multiple Skeins, than I will alternate every 3 rows as I do for the body. If I have a full skein for each sleeve, like in the case of this project, I’m not going to bother alternating. . Remember, that’s just what I choose to do. You have to do what feels right for you. There is no right or wrong way. The only thing that matters is how you feel about your project. .
