Brief Blurb: Mammon wants to be with MC forever and is thinking about ways to accomplish it.

It was fairly cold in the human world, and Mammon was not at all affected as he walked you down the street. “Why do I have ta wear these warm clothes? It’s not even that cold out.” You sighed and facepalmed with your spare hand, very tired of this complaint. “I mean, look, I know some humans think it’s weird when people walk around in tank tops and shorts for cold weather, but I’m sweatin’ my ass off.” He huffed, then stopped in the middle of the sidewalk, which you quickly corrected by pulling him off to the side.

“Mammon, babe,” you told him, “firstly, don’t stop in the middle of the sidewalk in the city. You should know that.”

“Oh…”

It was difficult to stay frustrated with him when he flustered and made his cute, embarrassed grin. “Secondly… it’s supposed to get really cold. I know you’re naturally a lot warmer since you’re a fallen angel, but odd looks are best avoided in the human world.”

“Ya say that like I haven’t ever been to it on my own…” he mumbled, fumbling with your hand.

Sighing, you watched him use your hand as a stim toy. “You’re right, I’m sorry.” You pulled him closer, then stood on your tip toes to kiss him. “I know you’ve been here millions of times without me. I just worry about you.”

Scoffing and biting back a smile, Mammon cupped your jaw. “Ya don’t have anything to worry about, darlin’. I’m a demon, remember?” You nodded, leaning into his touch slightly. “I… appreciate ya worryin’, though,” he admitted quietly, face flushing red.

“I just…” you sighed and closed your eyes. “I get really scared about drawing too much attention to ourselves.”

“Babe,” he chuckled and ran his fingers through your hair. “There ain’t a thing to worry about. I’m a big, scary demon. I don’t even have to go into demon form to frighten a human, y’know?”

Your face fell a little. “Yeah…”

“_____…? Why the long face?”

“Nothing,” you told him, averting your gaze a little. “Let’s get going, the store might close if we don’t hurry.”

“Shit, yeah.” Mammon pulled you back into the foot traffic, keeping you close to himself. Once you two managed to step into the store, you both pulled your face masks up. You then took his jacket off of his shoulders and draped it over an arm. “Thanks, babe…” he muttered shyly.

Despite taking the jacket off, you could tell he was still entirely too warm from the store’s heating. “I’m sorry, you’re probably miserable from the warmth.”

“It’s fine, don’t worry, _____.” He smiled, and despite only seeing it in his eyes, you felt relief wash over you. “Let’s get a cart.”

“No, we’ll buy too much if we get a cart.” You ignored his pout as you picked up a shopping basket. “This is my money, Mammon.”

“I-I know…” he mumbled, taking the basket from you before grasping your hand once more. “I’m sorry.”

“I never said you needed to be sorry,” you reassured him softly. “I’m not upset.”

You led him to the produce section, then reluctantly let go of his hand to inspect the various fruits and vegetables. “Why’re ya squeezin’ that thing?”

“To make sure it’s a good one.”

After processing what you said, he furrowed his eyebrows and stared intensely at some of the fruit in front of him. He seemed puzzled, and you couldn’t help but giggle. “Do you not check if produce is good before you buy it, babe?”

“W-Well… Lucif—…” he stopped himself, glancing around with only his eyes before continuing. “Luci never really has me buy the groceries, and when I tag along I don’t really pay much attention to whoever is actually doing the shoppin’. I just kinda help carry stuff.”

“Didn’t you help Barbatos like, a week ago?” you chuckled, placing some of the good foods in the basket. “I know he inspects everything.”

Mammon pouted at you. “I told ya I ain’t payin’ attention when I help. I jus’ know if it looks weird then I shouldn’t eat it.”

You gave him a gentle smile. “I’m sorry, I’m only teasing, Mammoney.” You very gently placed a hand on the small of his back, then led him to a different area of the store. “You’re just older than me, so I assume you know stuff like that.”

“Th-That’s fair…” He felt butterflies in his stomach from your touch. You were so gentle with him…

“Anyways,” you began, looking at the shelves, “do you still want popcorn for movies tonight?”

Mammon nodded. “Mmhm. Could we get those tiny rainbow chocolates to put in it?”

“You mean M&Ms?”

He bounced on his heels excitedly. “Yeah! Those!”

“Of course, baby.” You grabbed the popcorn and added M&Ms to the list on your phone. “Most of what we still need is in the next aisle.” He followed you close behind, not wanting to get lost or distracted by something. It was a little weird that he wasn’t talking very much. Usually, he couldn’t stop talking while you two were doing stuff alone.

By the time you two had finished shopping and paid, he hadn’t said very much. You were both carrying bags in both hands, and he was absolutely miserable with the jacket back on as well. When you got home, he instantly set the bags down and changed into something more comfortable. You didn’t mind, knowing he would come back and help put things away.

Well, that’s what he usually did. You had put away the cold stuff, and he still hadn’t returned to help. “Mammon?” you called out. When you received no response, you abandoned your task to search for him. Once you reached your bedroom door, he was talking on the other side.

“Lucifer, I ain’t comin’ home…” You furrowed your eyebrows. “Please stop callin’…” His voice was shaky and distressed. If it weren’t for your confusion keeping you in place, you would have come into the room to comfort him. “I want to stay. Jus’ let me talk to _____ about it, please…? I don’t understand why you’re so upset with me…”

You slowly opened the door, and he startled. “Mammon…?”

He hung up on Lucifer, then turned to face you. “S-Sorry…” he mumbled, wiping a stray tear from his face. “I wasn’t tryna make ya put everythin’ away by yourself.”

“Is something wrong…?” you asked, cautiously approaching him. “Do you need to go home?”

“N-No…” Mammon pulled you into his arms a bit more forcefully than he intended. “No… I just… I want to stay here wit’cha… forever…”

“Mammon…?”

“L-Lucifer found out I was talkin’ to Lord Diavolo about… stayin’ in the human world.” He sniffled, and you could feel his hands trembling against your back and shoulders. “I jus’ wanted to make sure it would be fine before I said anythin’ about it to you… but…”

You waited for him to speak, but he seemed to lose his train of thought. “But…?”

“L-Lucifer also found out I was… considerin’… becomin’ mortal…”

You attempted to move, but he squeezed you in order to prevent it. “Mammon—”

“I-I jus’ suggested it ‘cause Lord Diavolo wanted ideas of how I could stay with ya. I m-mean, I would give up anythin’ to be wit’cha…” A muffled sob escaped him, and he burrowed into your hair. “It seems like the best option to me, but Lord Diavolo and Lucifer would rather I faked mortality until you… y-you…”

Carefully, you squished him close to yourself and rubbed his back. “Mammon, giving up immortality is huge.”

“I-I jus’ couldn’t stop thinkin’ about it while we were shoppin’. I want to b-be with ya forever. I d-don’t want ya to go away…” he muttered between small, harsh cries. “I have been alive so long and no one has been so kind to me, or gentle with me…”

“Mammon—”

“I-I can’t take it… I can’t… have a life without ya…” he mumbled, nuzzling into you and kissing your head. “We’ve been together so long now, I jus’ keep gettin’ anxious about it…”

You managed to push yourself away enough to look him in the face. “Mammon, that is a very big decision to make just for me.”

“I’ve been alive forever, it ain’t gonna make a difference…” he said quietly, taking one of his hands away from you to rub one of his eyes. A weak, tiny wail left him as he curled into himself. “I-I’m not set on it anyways. Faking mortality would be easy…”

“It sounded like you are pretty set on it, Mammon,” you stated as calmly as you could. “How long have you been thinking about this?”

“A-A couple months…” Mammon took a deep breath, trying to relax himself. “I just… humans… don’t always come back as an angel or demon… y-y’know? They don’t remember anythin’ when they do, either…” he sniveled and ran his fingers through his hair. “I-I mean, sure, ya could come back… but… b-but… we wouldn’t be together anymore…”

“Mammon…”

“I-I just get scared whenever I wanna talk to ya, because I know you’ll think I’m bein’ hasty…”

“Why wouldn’t you want me to become a demon before that can happen?”

Mammon made a half hearted chuckle. “I asked… it’s complicated…”

“Why do you want us to be here? I like the Devildom,” you told him gently.

“I-I want ya safe…”

You giggled a bit, petting his hair. “What makes you think I’m safe here? Humans are always in conflict somewhere. You would be in danger if you were mortal, especially because of…” you trailed off, sighing. “We’d probably be safer in the Devildom.”

Sniffling and shaking his head, Mammon insisted, “You’d be unhappy livin’ there. It’s always dark, ‘n’ you’d probably have to do R.A.D. forever, unless Lord Diavolo could get us permission for inter realm marriage…”

“Didn’t he do that for Solomon and Asmodeus?”

“Y-Yes, but… but Solomon is immortal, and a prominent figure in the human realm…”

You gently cupped his cheeks and brushed his tears away with your thumbs. “Mammoney…?”

He sniffled and choked on sobs, squeezing his eyes shut. “I-I just… I love ya so much, _____… I c-can’t imagine life without ya anymore…” He carefully grabbed your wrists, but didn’t move your hands. “I-I don’t want ya to die… I want you…”

You hushed him and rubbed his cheeks with your thumbs once more, keeping the gesture going after he seemed to relax from it. “Mammon, we have time to think about this. We can work it out.”

“I-I’m sorry… I-I’m sorry, treasure…” he muttered, sniffling and squishing your wrists ever so slightly in his hands. “I-I’m sorry… please… j-just pretend I never brought it up…”

“Why don’t we just… put a pin in it? Come back to it later, I mean.” He opened his eyes slightly to gaze at your face, still crying. “Would that be okay? We don’t have to talk about it right now. We have time.”

Nodding and leaning into your hands, Mammon muttered, “Please…”

Headcanons/notes from the author: trans Mammon headcanon used here. I wrote this when I literally couldn’t get Mammon X Lord Diavolo brain rot out of my head but then I didn’t even put it on tumblr somehow

Brief Blurb: Mammon and Lord Diavolo reassure each other of their love for one another before making love.

Quietly humming, Lord Diavolo straddled Mammon and tenderly cupped his cheeks. "My love, is this alright?"

"M-Mmhm..." A blush took over Mammon's cheeks as his fiancé brought their lips together. The kisses began soft, slowly turning into something rough and filled with lust. Mammon whimpered when Lord Diavolo bit his bottom lip and tugged on it. "D-Dia... that's..." he trailed off, blushing and gripping tightly onto his love's shoulders. "You're... You're beautiful, ya know?"

Chuckling, Diavolo released Mammon's lip from between his teeth and slowly kissed down his neck to his collar bone before resuming attention on his love's face. "Mammon, do you know that you're handsome?"

"I... O-Of course I know that...!" Mammon exclaimed, gripping his fiancé's biceps tightly in a sudden rush of nervousness. "I just... every time we're together I wish I had more courage than I do to tell ya I think you're beautiful..." He pecked Lord Diavolo's lips, then gave him bunny kisses before pressing their foreheads together. "I get so nervous, even though we've been together so long 'n' we're literally engaged..."

"Well, I suppose it would be difficult to, considering at first you were just my sugar baby..." Lord Diavolo pulled Mammon closer, running his hands down his back. "Which, in hindsight... we never should have done such a thing. You don't deserve that."

"I agreed to it, Dia."

"That doesn't change how it impacted our relationship, and how people will see our relationship." Lord Diavolo ran his fingers through Mammon's hair, loving how it seemed to cling to his touch. "I know the latter shouldn't matter as much, but that might end up hurting you, especially with how Lucifer feels about us being together."

Mammon shushed him, then sighed and closed his eyes. "We don't have to worry about it all right now, do we? I know I love ya. Lucifer can cram it."

An amused hum left Lord Diavolo as he nuzzled into Mammon's neck. "You're right," he muttered, leaving fluttering kisses on his skin. "I love you so much, Mammon." A small giggle escaped Mammon when the kisses tickled, and Lord Diavolo mumbled small praises as he brought his lips ever lower. "I hope you know that I love you."

"Well... do you know that I love ya?" asked Mammon softly, pulling himself away slightly so he could take off his shirt. "I really try to be good about makin' sure ya know I love you."

"Don't dodge my question." Lord Diavolo carefully ran his fingers over Mammon's top surgery scars. "I know you struggle with accepting love, I won't be upset if your answer isn't yes."

Face flushing, Mammon looked away from his fiancé for a moment, figuring out how to phrase his thoughts. "It's... difficult. Most of the time I do know it. I know you love me... but sometimes I jus' doubt it..." he mumbled the last part, feeling ashamed. "I used to think I was unloveable... I still do, sometimes... I mean, I'm... used goods..."

"Mammon, you are not any less important or deserving of love than anyone else." Lord Diavolo kissed him, gently rubbing his thumbs over Mammon's pecs. "I love you."

"I love ya too, so much..." Mammon mumbled against his lips, squeezing his eyes shut in retaliation for his slowly forming tears. "I love ya so much. I love you, Diavolo."

Lord Diavolo carefully adjusted his position on Mammon, then ran his fingers down his fiancé's sides. "I love you very much, Mammon." He took off his own shirt, then gently interlocked his fingers together behind Mammon's neck, taking the opportunity to observe his face. "I'd love you no matter what, so if you're having doubts, you can always talk to me."

"I'll try my best." Mammon carefully leaned closer to Lord Diavolo, then kissed down his chest, letting his hands wander along his body. "Do ya want me to do anythin' specific?"

"I don't think you should let me be in control just yet." Lord Diavolo played with Mammon's white curls, not wanting to come off as overly worried. "We have a safe word, but still..."

"I don't feel scared wit' ya," Mammon told him between kisses to his chest and stomach. "Ya should be in control for once."

Chuckling, Lord Diavolo carefully gripped Mammon's jaw and made him meet his gaze. "Are you sure?"

"I wouldn't say it if—"

"Mammon." Lord Diavolo gave him a stern expression, but was careful to not be scary with it. "I'm serious."

"I promise, I'm sure."

"If you're sure..." Lord Diavolo gave him a soft smile, then pressed him onto his back. "You will use the safe word if you need to, right...?"

Headcanons/notes from the author: this has been sitting in my list of ideas for ages. It ended up different than initially planned but I think it’s one of my best, especially for my Lucifer fics.

Brief Blurb: Lucifer and MC are finally able to be alone together.

You and Lucifer had made your way into his room, completely alone at last. Everyone else was out doing something else, meaning you and the avatar of pride were in a quiet mansion. “Perhaps I could choose a record from the human world, this time.”

“You have human world records?” you asked, a bit bewildered. “Aren’t those boring for you, since they don’t pose any threat?”

Lucifer chuckled and left your side to inspect his collection. “Not all of my records have to be cursed, songbird. I just happen to have mostly cursed records.” He ran his fingertips over the rows of records, humming to himself. “Perhaps you would like to choose?”

A tiny shake of your head, and Lucifer frowned. “I don’t think it’ll change anything if I choose. I doubt you have a song I know.” He perked an eyebrow, then hummed as he turned around to properly look at you.

“I wouldn’t ask if I didn’t have a song you know,” Lucifer told you softly. “I won’t insist, but… surely you don’t think I would ignore the classics of your part of the human world?”

Crossing your arms, you asked, “Are you admitting to have taken interest in my culture?”

“Perhaps,” he fought back a stupidly large grin, then turned away. “I will choose, but don’t be afraid to ask to change it.” You watched Lucifer pick out a record, then place it on its player and adjust the needle so the music would sound. For a moment, you were sure he was swaying his hips to it as he approached you. “Now, _____… will you dance with me?”

A soft smile spread across your lips and you carefully took his outstretched hand. “I have no reason not to.” He made a pout, but quickly attempted to neutralize it, though it was in vain. “You’re cute when you pout, Luci.”

He bit his cheek to hide an amused smile. “You’re really something else, aren’t you?”

Humming, you took the lead. One hand on Lucifer’s waist and the other holding his own, which caused him to blush. “Well, I am your human master, after all,” you reminded him softly. “I think I’m allowed to tease you within reason.” His face became even hotter, pink stinging his cheeks as he barely maintained eye contact. The fact that he wasn’t lashing out with wounded pride made you glimmer with joy. “Feeling safe?”

There was a moment of only the soft music between you two. “I am. You are safe,” he told you quietly. “Is… that okay?”

“Of course, silly.” You chuckled and moved your hand from his waist to cup his cheek. He leaned into it slightly, allowing his eyes to flutter shut. “I would be a bit concerned if you felt unsafe with me.”

He grimaced. “Do you… feel safe with me?”

You hummed and used the hand on his cheek to run through his hair. “Much more than I used to. You’re very safe for me now.” His sigh of relief told you more than any words could. “That doesn’t mean you can mistreat me in the future.”

“Yes, songbird.” He opened his eyes slowly, then carefully leaned to kiss you. “If I ever think to hurt you again, then don’t give me the time of day,” he muttered against your lips.

“I can promise that.”

Brief Blurb: MC is worried about disappointing Lucifer.

It had been a long day, one that could rival almost all the others you’ve spent in the Devildom. You woke up late, couldn’t eat breakfast, Lucifer was grouchy (more so than usual), Belphie wouldn’t leave you alone, and once you got to R.A.D., it only got worse. One test after another, you could see Lucifer’s disappointed face in your mind’s eye. It was even worse to imagine after becoming his partner, making you sick with worry by the time you had returned home.

You knew Lucifer wouldn’t be home for a while, so you took off your uniform and hid in his bed. You could feel tears building up from stress, but the fear of crying and having him catch you doing so when he came home made you squeeze your eyes shut. All you wanted was for Lucifer to come back and snuggle you, but that wasn’t going to happen. As always, he was going to go straight to work once he finished business elsewhere and came home…

By the time the door opened, you had given into your tears and nearly cried yourself to sleep. “_____? Why are you in bed, baby…?” Lucifer carefully closed the door behind himself, and you heard his footfalls approach the bed. “Are you sleeping…?”

“N-No…” you mumbled, sniffling and wiping your face. “I’m just… exhausted…”

He walked around the bed to your side, then gently sat on the edge with his lower back pressing against your thighs. “Is there anything I can do to help…?”

There was a long pause between you, and for a moment Lucifer thought that you decided against speaking with him. “I-I think I failed my tests today… even though I studied really hard…” you mumbled, wiping your face. “I just d-don’t want to disappoint you…”

Lucifer’s face fell, and he cautiously rubbed your back after considering his options. “If you tried, I see no reason to be disappointed.”

“Y-You’re always talking about how I need to do well, and I-I can’t disappoint Lord Diavolo… b-but I just… I-I just…”

Gently hushing you, Lucifer mumbled, “I know you tried your best. That’s what matters. I know I’ve been… unreasonable in the past. I’m sorry.” He sighed and gently rubbed your tears away with his thumb. “I’m very proud of you. I should tell you that more than I do. You’ve learned how to speak Infernal, you study much more than most of my brothers…” he chuckled, then muttered, “You stubbornly helped my family sort some things out… You stood up to me…”

“I th-thought that pissed you off…”

“At first…” Lucifer cupped your cheek. “I realized that I was being stupid, though… You were right.” His voice wavered a little from the discomfort of admitting such. “I was… just completely wrong going about things the way I did. I thought I was protecting everyone…”

Slowly, you sat up and hugged him close to yourself. “Luci, h-hey… it’s okay. Don’t beat yourself up too much.”

“You’re too kind to me, songbird.” He returned your embrace, letting out a soft, relieved breath. “One day you’re going to regret it…”

“Nonsense.” You chuckled and kissed his neck, making your way up to his jaw. “Since we have this whole thing cleared up… why don’t you let me snuggle you for a little bit?”

He huffed, shaking his head. “I was trying to comfort you, but I—”

“You didn’t do anything wrong,” you assured him softly. “C’mon, let’s lay down.”

The Devildom's nighttime cycle had begun, and Mammon yawned into his hands. It was cold for hell, but he didn't mind it. The cooler weather was a nice break from the usual warm temperature. He sat on the balcony of the demon prince's quarters, watching Barbatos water the flowers a few stories below. It was peaceful for him to not worry about anything for a while, especially since Lucifer was on his ass about everything recently. "Mammon?"

He smiled at Diavolo, who had come and sat next to him on the couch. "Hey." The two were only reaching their second month being an official couple, and Diavolo had made it clear to Lucifer that there wasn't a reason to be worried. "Do I have to go home tonight?"

"Is Lucifer still being mean about things?" Diavolo held his hand and tilted his head. "I could speak with him again, if you like."

"It's not really that as much as it is... well..." Mammon sighed and stared at his boyfriend's hands. "Y'know, Lucifer is probably still all butt hurt we didn't say anythin' about... our previous arrangement." Diavolo chuckled. "I-It's not funny! Jeez..."

"Aw, c'mon, it's a little funny. I mean, what's he so worried about anyways? He's courting two people, it's not like he's worried about you getting more dick than him." Mammon spluttered, a little uncomfortable with Diavolo's phrasing. "Anyways, I think you should talk to him, if anything. Maybe he's just worried I'm going to give you an STD."

Flustered, Mammon told him, "Maybe... but I doubt it..."

"I don't know, maybe he's bothered since it's not Asmodeus doing this." Diavolo ran his fingers through Mammon's hair, then kissed his temple. "It would probably be more in character for Asmodeus to be flirting with the demon prince."

Mammon shrugged. "I mean, ya fucked him before, didn't you?"

"Sure, I mean, he's the avatar of lust, after all." Mammon was going to interject, not liking that statement at all, but kept his mouth shut. "Though he was feeling pretty vulnerable, so maybe I should have made him think it through instead..." He chuckled and kissed Mammon, then added, "I simply hope he doesn’t regret it."

"Kinda hard not to when Lucifer is on his ass about it." Mammon made a strange noise when Diavolo pulled him into his lap. "I think he might be better off just stickin’ with Solomon for a while."

"Mm..." Diavolo ran his fingers through Mammon's hair, humming as he did so. "Maybe you're right." He gave Mammon a kiss, then nuzzled into his neck. "It's not that big of a deal."

They sat there quietly, staring out at the garden and enjoying the other's presence. It had been so strange before, when it was a strictly sexual arrangement... but now that they were allowing feelings, Mammon felt more relaxed. Sure, he had denied any desire besides sex and money beforehand, but that's just how he was. A complete scumbag in his brothers' eyes... but Diavolo understood it, or at least he could provide both in return of what he himself wanted.

For a long while, there was only the sound of their breaths and the plants' fluttering leaves. They felt like it was hours, but in reality it was only a short while. "My lord, Lucifer is downstairs. He wishes to speak with you."

"Send him up here, please."

The RAD newspaper club room was quiet, and Belphegor could feel his eyes drooping. He had been waiting for Satan and Mephistopheles to arrive for at least twenty minutes. Just as he was about to text them again, the door swung open, Satan’s face bright red as he followed Mephistopheles inside. “Why are you here already?” Mephistopheles demanded, placing the hand not occupied by his cane on his hip. “We weren’t supposed to start planning our next attack until five minutes from now.”

Belphegor tilted his head. “I thought we planned to be here at 17:30?” He yawned and sighed. “I could have napped if I knew that…”

Sighing, Mephistopheles shook his head. “Really, fallen angels have no sense.” He brought himself to sit on the couch, pretending to not be slightly bothered that Satan had sat across from him instead of next to him. They weren’t exactly openly together, but…

“So, Lucifer has an important meeting tomorrow,” Satan spoke up. “We need ways to embarrass him in front of the nobles.”

Mephistopheles hummed and tapped his fingertips against his jaw. “What if we cursed his shoes to make him trip?” He attempted to hide a smirk. “After all, you have a way with curses, don’t you, Satan?”

Cheeks tinging pink, Satan crossed his arms. “Why stop at his shoes? We might be able to curse other things as well.”

Belphegor pretended not to notice Satan’s face burning up. “Does he have anything he needs to bring? We could hide it.”

“Now that’s just ridiculous. That’s not truly going to hinder him.” Mephistopheles scoffed and crossed his arms. “Surely you could come up with something better.”

Satan rested his chin in his hand, staring off into nothing for a moment. “I could find a spell to make his papers fly out of his hands, or maybe even just away from him entirely. If we paired that with the tripping curse, then he would be humiliated in front of the nobles. Ego crushed.”

A sly smile crossed Mephistopheles’ face, and he couldn’t help the fluttering in his chest. “Quite the brain you have, kitten.”

Belphegor had already passed out by the time Mephisto uttered the pet name. Satan’s cheeks were bright red, and he couldn’t keep himself restrained once he noticed Belphie was asleep. Quickly, he climbed over the coffee table and straddled Mephistopheles’ thighs. “Y-You…” he cupped his boyfriend’s face. “You are miserable.”

“I am a demon,” Mephisto mumbled, closing his eyes once Satan pressed their lips together. He grabbed Satan’s hips and pulled him closer, face increasing in warmth as they deepened the kiss. Satan giggled into it, ignoring the stinging pain in his neck from the strange angle he was at. He adjusted the cane leaning against the couch so it wouldn’t fall before running his hands down Mephisto’s neck and shoulders. Kissing him like this was… strangely invigorating.

Brief Blurb: MC catches Lucifer crying while he’s drunk.

It had been about six hours since you last saw Lucifer, and he hadn’t answered any texts. This wasn’t really unusual since he liked to work himself to death, but you didn’t want to go to bed by yourself again. You missed him snuggling you to sleep, and you swore he didn’t even come to bed last night. With a sigh, you got out of the warmth of the sheets and walked a couple rooms over towards his office. You raised your hand to knock, but froze when you heard a muffled sob.

No one else would be in Lucifer’s office this late, so you knew it had to be him… but you hadn’t really heard him cry before. It wasn’t a pleasant sound, and it made your heart break a little. You didn’t bother to knock, instead opening the door slowly enough that he would notice your presence. “Luci?”

When he didn’t answer, you opened the door fully to examine him. He was sat at his desk, face buried into his hands as sobs wracked through his body. You stepped inside and gently closed the door behind yourself, but didn’t come any closer. There was a bottle of demonus on the desk, and an empty one laying on the floor. You weren’t sure what to do, a little frightened by the situation. You’d never seen him cry before, or completely drunk like this.

You approached him cautiously, feeling a little guilty for treating him like a wild animal. When he still didn’t say anything or move away, you pulled the chair across from him to his side and sat down. “Lucifer, what’s wrong?” you asked gently, pushing some hair out of his face.

“Th-They all hate me…”

Despite knowing exactly who he was talking about, you wanted to make sure. “Who, baby…?”

“M-My brothers…” he muttered. He took a wavering, deep breath, then broke into another harsh sob. “I-I mean… Satan isn’t really my brother… he’s more like a son… but…” Lucifer didn’t dare look at you, keeping his face in his hands as he bawled. “I-I should be used to it. I know they hate me… but I just w-wish they didn’t.”

You carefully ran your fingers through his hair. “Lucifer, I’m sure that isn’t true. They may be a little bit agressive with you, but that’s how it is sometimes with guardians and who they’re caring for.” Lucifer shook his head and wiped his face. “Luci—”

“N-No, they all said they hate me today.” Lucifer sniffled and choked on a sob, attempting to push the tears off of his face. “S-Satan’s the only one who says it regularly, and even wh-when the others say it… it’s… i-it’s not all in one day. I just fucked up s-so much today. I don’t want to keep f-fucking up…” You decided words weren’t going to do much, and rubbed circles on his back instead. “I-I didn’t want to be the avatar of p-pride, or make any of them a lord of s-sin… but… b-but I didn’t know how else to keep them safe…”

Carefully, you pulled him into your arms and allowed him to cry into your chest. “I’ve got you…”

“I-I miss Lilith…” he muttered through his weeping. “I-I miss S-Simeon and Raphael… I miss giving my siblings hugs… I-I miss Satan hugging me… I m-miss… I-I miss…” he trailed off, opting to cry harder instead of speak more. You ran a hand through his hair and hummed to him, hoping it would help him calm down. After a while, he mumbled, “I-I just… I don’t understand why they fell with me… th-they could have stayed…”

“Lucifer…” you cooed, pausing to kiss his temple. “If they chose to fight and fall with you, doesn’t that mean they love you?”

He sniffled and pressed his forehead closer to your neck. “N-Not anymore…”

You hushed him softly and brushed his hair with your fingers still. It seemed to be soothing him ever so slightly. “Lucifer, would they stay in the House of Lamentation with you if they didn’t love you?”

“I-I don’t know…” he whimpered, hiding in you. “I just want them to know I love them…”

Sighing, you shushed him and kissed his hair. “I’m sure they know.”
