In another world where classism and Greasers & Socs doesn't exist, Ponyboy and Cherry could've been together

Really debating on making a second acc just for art. Maybe doodles to start and warm up to learning anatomy and full art pieces
Who knows atp lol
My thoughts/rant on Episode 3 "Breaking the Maiden" of The Outsiders TV show
‼️Spoilers ahead‼️ and ‼️TW for topics of sex, predatory relationships, and incest‼️
. . .
So why is there a whole plot point about Ponyboy going to puberty? And why do they go in detail about him asking his older brother and friend about their 'first time'?
There's nothing wrong with telling a story of a teenager trying to navigate themselves through puberty. That's absolutely fine and something that could help young teens and kids who are going through the same thing! HOWEVER, there's specific ways to tell these kinds of stories, because it's easy to put characters and the audience in uncomfortable and dangerous situations. Such as:
1. Portaying the wrong message
2. Making the viewer too uncomfortable to engage with the story further
Or 3. Accidentally sexualizing underage characters
Idk if it's the acting, script, or just the whole thing all together, but Ponyboy asking Darry and Buck about their first time having s3x and them going into detail is weird (And the scene when he's gawking at a woman getting undressed through a window without her knowing. Yes, it was the 90s and something television did a lot, but it's still not ok). It would be one thing for Ponyboy to ask broad questions or express concern about it in general. But how they went about it, I can't help but feel uncomfy.
What I REALLY hate is Darry losing his virginity to a WOMAN WHO WAS 28 when he was 15 YEARS OLD, and Buck Merrill having s3x with his COUSIN.
1. Darry, you're a victim... that's not ok. You couldn't consent and she took advantage of the fact you were young!
2. If the title you refer someone as has a family name in it, IT'S INCEST! No, I don't care if she was a distant cousin twice removed, she's still a part of the family one way or another, and the person you have s3x with shouldn't be linked to you in any way! PERIOD. And even if she isn't "technically related" or whatever, it's fucking weird.
Finished the episode a couple weeks ago and if I didn't hate it more than I already did, I do now. I don't have anything else to add other than Ponyboy gets groomed by an older women to sleep with him and when asked how old she is, she says "However old you want me to be." I'm disgusted.
As an apology for my last Johnny Cade post, here's some dating headcanons where he would be an awesome boyfriend :)
~ This boy absolutely ADORES you! You're truly the light and love of his life, he's going to cherish you forever
"I love you so much, Honey"
"I know, Johnnycakes! You told me like 5 minutes ago"
"Just thought I'd remind you :)"
~ Cute dates at the diner, arcade, and movies!
~ Not big on PDA, but will hold your hand everywhere
~ LOVES when you wear his clothes, especially his jean jacket
- he'll give it to you even if you aren't cold, he just loves seeing you wear his stuff
~ Holds you while listening to you read
~ Petnames: Your first name, Honey/Hun, Doll, and Sweetie
~ Remembers every little detail, even the things you forgot you told him
"Hey, I got you your favorite fruit!"
"What? How did you know?"
"Remember? You said this was your favorite [specific time, date, and what you were doing]!"
"...How tf do you remember that?!"
~ A massive cuddler when he's sleepy, almost impossible to escape his iron grip
Sometimes I wonder what Johnny would be like as a partner. We know he was raised in an abusive household; Both parents neglectful, the dad beats him and the mom ignores Johnny unless to verbally berate him.
Either he'd be abusive in the same ways his parents were, or the opposite. The results from years of abuse. Instead of arguing, he shuts down and leaves the conversation. He'll stay silent and anxious, waiting for things to escalate. Self sabotage and doesn't believe he deserves anything good.
And he doesn't want to be this way. He knows it isn't fair to his partner. He's terrified of becoming like his parents, to have a toxic relationship like they do. He just doesn't have the tools to get better :(
I watched the Michael movie yesterday and I LOVED IT!!!! Aside from a few pacing nitpicks, it was great and Jafar did a fantastic job playing Michael. Chefs kiss, 10/10, can't wait for part 2
Maybe I'm projecting, but Modern! Johnny Cade would listen to 90's alt rock. Or just rock in general
Walking back home from school, headphones on, and blasting at full volume
How is it that I run on 5 hours of sleep and feel fine, but then sleep in until 11am and feel like shit for the rest of the day?

Story idea‼️‼️
Ever since Johnny and Dally's deaths, Ponyboy’s nightmares have gotten worse.
Either Johnny and Dally are distorted and creepy based on how they died, like Johnny being burnt, and Dally has open wounds bleeding out from getting shot.
OR Ponyboy trying to save them and rewriting history. Like him saving Johnny from the church fire or Ponyboy and the gang successfully hiding Dally from the cops. When he wakes up, he's absolutely distraught and breaks down.
Sodapop would still be sharing a room and comforts him every time. Maybe Soda can notice if a dream turns into a nightmare and wakes him up before it gets to that point.
Reposting an old post in honor of my last one lol
You know those night terrors Ponyboy has? The ones that scare him so much Sodapop started sharing a room with him? Yeah, those but crank them to 100 after Johnny and Dally's death
He doesn't remember most of the time, but the ones he does... they screw with his mind for weeks. Just the thought of it makes him shudder whenever it crosses his mind. The grief and memories cause him to spiral all over again, and Sodapop and Darry have to help calm him down
Watched the pilot for The Outsiders TV show for the first time and OMG I HAVE SO MUCH SHIT TO SAY-
RIP Modern Dallas Winston, you would've loved yelling at kids over XBOX 360 live chat
The more I think about the gang in the modern day, the harder it is to imagine Soda wearing anything other than a flannel and jeans. He'd probably wear cool looking sweaters during the colder seasons, but his go-to is a plain T-shirt with jeans and a flannel
SOBBING-
