Pay Attention-One Shot
Thump, thump...thump, thump... Is that my heart? My god, can SHE hear that? No, no, she couldn't, her headphones are in. Wow, she was absolutely gorgeous... CRASH! My head collided with a metal pole, skateboard escaping my feet and back impacting the sidewalk. I heard the footsteps, but closed my eyes to block out whoever had seen my horrible embaressment. "Are you okay?" an angelic voice rang out, serenading my eardrums. It was her. He beautiful eyes glared into my soul and I watched her check out every inch of my body, looking for injuries. Her eyes fluttered close after looking at my forehead though, a look of pain crossed her face and she tilted her head down. "Is everything okay?" I asked, her eyes shooting open once again. That's when I felt it. A warm trickle started to descend from my hairline, down my nose, and into my mouth. The taste of salt and copper graced my tastebuds, and my eyes widened. My fingers found the cut quickly, revealing a bright red palm. Damn, I hate blood. "I'm so squeamish, I apologize." She laughed nervously, then ripped one of her sleeves off, wrapping it around my head. My eyes reached BULBOUS level and she giggled. "You okay?" "I'm...i'm fine." We introduced ourselves to break the silence, her name turning out to be Jianna. Beautiful name. "So, Mr. Louis Dipippa. What caused you to run into this here pole?" I blushed brightly and held a finger out to her, pointing. "You did. I saw a beautiful girl, therefore I wasn't paying attention."
