By the by, I took this opportunity to improve some stuff in Chapter 4 (George now lists male MC as "one of the guys" when talking about the cabins, and weak and non-agile MCs fall over when Basil uses them as a launch pad during his dreamcatcher scene). You play as âthe pledgeâ, a new recruit to the universitiesâ houses, of which there are five. You have to impress the houseâs inhabitants and compete against the others who are fighting for the same spot that you are.
You can choose your approach to the game and how you treat your competitors. Every gameplay is unique, as most choices leave an impact.
While your character competes for their spot in a âHouseâ, they will also be attempting to uncover the secrets that are buried within. Make sure to balance school, pledging and mystery hunting! Itâs harder than youâd think.

Max Bennett was born with a silver spoon in their mouth but never learnt how to use it, raised by their quirky auntie in upstate New York. With a tall stature and thick black hair, they are the epitome of a dream indie movie star. They applied to Redwood because of its prestige and their desire to follow in their parents footsteps. They never expected to meet you, especially considering their history with the Houses.
Maximilian Bennett is 6â4, with messy black hair, pale skin, green eyes and a beauty mark on his left cheek.
Maxine Bennett is 5â11, with her black hair cut into a bob, a beauty mark above her right eyebrow, and a slim build.

Sam Washington is always looking for the next scoop and they think theyâll find it in you. Born to a family of media moguls, Sam is wishing to find their independence at Redwood. Theyâve been given the scoop on the Houses and they could be a good ally to have due to their connections and charisma, although they would not blame you if you want to be something more.
Samson Washington is 6â2, with short curly brown hair, hazel eyes, a broad build, glasses (although he prefers contacts) and a beauty mark under his right eye.
Samantha Washington is 5â7, with long curly lighter brown hair, a single beauty mark under her left eye, a curvier build, glasses (because she hates contacts) and full lips.

Frankie Blake is the child of a major fashion designer and your also new roommate, although their family is known for being extravagant and ostentatious, they are the complete opposite. An art enthusiast who is looking for their next muse, and the quirk of your smile is enough to inspire a thousand drawings. They are a Redwood legacy and theyâre willing to show you around, for a price of course. Nothing comes for free. Frankie has dark brown skin that is covered in freckles, with kinky hair and the prettiest smile youâve ever seen.
Francis Blake is 5â10 with short twist outs, a toned build, freckles and a wardrobe filled with shorts.
Frances Blake is 5â4 with long, back length braids that are decorated with gold accessories, a slim build and freckles.

Ali Nakamura is the only child of their politician mother and is already well-established at Redwood. They seem perfectly pleasant in public, however it is your first day at Redwood and you have already presented yourself as a rival. Through no fault of your own, thatâs what you insist anyways. They have silky, dyed blond hair, well-groomed black eyebrows and an affinity for neutral tones. Although they insist on their aloof demeanour, you occasionally catch them looking at you with a look you canât decipher.
Alistair Nakamura is 6â0, with an average build, tan skin, short honey blond hair with dark eyes.
Alison Nakamura is 5â5, with an average build, tan skin, shoulder-length sunflower blonde hair and dark eyes.

There is an easy way to get a little extra content with them!
When relaxing at the dock after comforting the runaway kid, save your game! There's a romantic interest check there, and if you choose to discard any previous crush and choose no best friend either, you will automatically be paired up with Sawyer on the nature walk. This way, you won't have to miss out on any of the romantic scenes with the main ROs in the previous chapters. Not recommended for first time players. Also, none of these words make sense now, but they will.

Heart of the Mountain is a new Heart's Choice text game by Fay Ikin, the author of Heart of Battle and Asteroid Run: No Questions Asked. It's in the same setting as Heart of Battle, with a new MC and totally standalone.

The war between the Coritan Republic and Messimera has been over for years, but as a magician youâll never be free of your duties to your country.
With control over warmth and heat energy, youâve been sent to a remote Messimeran outpost, where a small group of soldiers from both sides have been tasked to cooperate and guard the northernmost demilitarized zoneâŚwhere your predecessor went mysteriously missing.
If anyone crosses the mountain pass or the frozen waterway, the peace treaties could fail. Itâs frigid, isolated work, and monotonous until a mysterious fellow magician falls at your doorstep hiding dangerous secrets. Will you welcome your kind, or support your colleaguesâ suspicions of them?
Everyone has their own agenda - and their own secrets to guard. When their goals oppose each other, who will you support and who will you stand against? Who will you keep close when your magic starts to fail, when paranoia and fear strike the outpost? A mysterious force within the mountain threatens to topple everything your country has worked for. Heart of the Mountain is set in the same setting as Heart of Battle, 4-5 years later. All of the characters are new for this game, though backstory elements can have some familiar notes from the previous game. You wonât need to have played Heart of Battle to play this game.
Iâm aiming for 3 or 4 chillies - some sex scenes are very explicit, and some will (at the readerâs choice) feature some intense kinky experiences.
As with Heart of Battle, itâs v/v. The MC can be a man (cis, trans or non-specified), woman (cis, trans or non-specified) or non-binary person (AMAB, AFAB, or not specified); the love interests are selectable between cis man/cis woman/non-binary.
There are four characters alongside the MC - everyone the MC interacts with is romanceable and plot relevant, and the conflict between different love interestsâ goals and ambitions drives the plot.
All the characters have the possibility of a happy ending, but on some high-conflict routes some characters can become hostile antagonists
There are currently some polyamorous options planned: Eleri/Felician/MC, and Stelare/Theano/MC.
