That immediate bittersweet feeling. • • I attacked a piece of public last night that’s currently 90% under water. But I knew this 10% not flooded was hot and could be even hotter per the location of a deer herd spotted a month ago. Every time I start to walk a piece my gut usually tells me pretty fast if I’ll scoop something or not. Tonight was no different but it took going all the way to that hardest point to get to for a find. This guy would have been super unique this year. The sad thing is there was a stand not even 60 yards away. Now it could have not been that guys shot that ended this deer or someone else’s.
