don't look now, chance, but there's a menace sneaking up to you repeating one word just quiet enough...

"roll, roll, roll, roll..." but the closer he gets, the louder he gets.

"roll, roll, roll!" and then, as loud as he can manage, parker yells with a sharp grip on chance's shoulders:

"RRRRRRRRRRRRROLL!!!"

he perks up at the sound inching towards him, not quite being able to make it out right away. where is it ? where's it coming from ? before he can so much as turn around and fully begin to process what's being said, he feels the grip of another's hands and winces a little in shock as he hears that simultaneously beautiful and dreadful word reach his ears. god, there is only one voice in the world that could say that word and make him furrow his brow. 

❝ agh ! parker ! ❞      he does little to push him off, but he does squirm under his touch.      ❝ you know how i feel about the dice ! i don't want to roll for a relationship with you ! don't you remember what i said before ? ❞      he sighs, remembering his time in the attic weighing the dice for him. he'd worked hard on those dice if he was honest, but no matter what, he still could not wrap his head around relying on dice for falling in love. he was used to falling in love with people through stories and adventures… that was the real way to do it. why didn't parker get that ? 

❝ why are you so desperate to get me of all people to roll them anyway ? can't we figure this out another way ? ❞     he feels his cheeks flush a gentle pink, just subtle enough to make his face feel warm. what was with this guy ?
