Okay guys, this is one of those tagging posts, so bear with me. If I tag you, please answer my questions, come up with 11 of your own, and tag 11 other people. Here we go.
1. What posters/pictures do you have on your wall, if any?
Posters: Lynyrd Skynyrd, Transformers (Bumblebee), A pink and black Eiffel tower thing, Gone with the Wind 1970s Movie Poster, Hunger Games Gale poster that my friend gave me. (I also used to have Ke$ha, Boondock Saints, and Phantom of the Opera, but ran out of space.)
Flags: Confederate First National, French, and UK
Other things in the room: Starry Night, Square Van Gogh quotes (in the original French, of course), collages from my Civil Wargasm and Paris Study Abroad.
Outside the door: A poster with “un chat noir” demonstrating emotions in French, a picture of Franklin Pierce, a Paula Deen Magazine cover with added “butter is love” and “love butter, love Paula.”
(My roommate also has a bunch of stuff, but that’s her)
2. What food do you like that not many other do? eg. sprouts, tomato sauce sandwich…
I like to drink chocolate milk while I eat sushi. Does that count?
3. Choose your favourite fandom, and state your most ‘unpopular opinion’ on it.
Hmmm. Doctor Who? My unpopular opinion? I love Matt Smith, but I’ve started hating him as the Doctor because he is so childish and I just want to knock him upside the head and tell him to grow up and move on.
4. What disney character is most like you? (NOT who you WANT to be!!)
I’m going to go with Belle. She loves to read, she wants to travel the world, and she falls in love with a large hairy asshole with power issues. :)
5. What song immediately brings back a happy memory for you, and what of?
Hmmm. That one is tough. The only one that comes to mind at the moment is Move Along by The All American Rejects. Whenever I hear it, I think about the time it came on the radio while a bunch of my girlfriends and I were in the church van together and we all sang it crazy loud. Good times. I miss those ladies.
6. What are your favourite and least favourite theme park rides?
Favorite was The Hulk at Universal in Orlando. I don’t really have a least favorite because I love rides and avoid ones that I don’t think I’ll like. Plus I very rarely go to theme parks.
7. How do you try and make yourself fall asleep, like counting sheep?
I lie very still, focus on my breathing, and try not to think too much.
8. What is the most pointless/overly expensive thing you’ve bought recently?
I got my parents to buy me a very expensive new phone for Christmas. There wasn’t anything wrong with mine, per se, but I really wanted the new one.
9. State a random fact that you find really interesting and love to tell people, or want to but don’t want to seem like a nerd! haha.
Holtville High School, where I ( and my mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother) graduated, was one of the most progressive schools in the 30s and 40s. And I’m doing research and a thesis on it. And I could talk about it all day long. But I try not to because I know no one else cares.
10. What film makes you cry, but you still love?
Everything makes me cry. But currently I’m going to go with Les Misérables. I’ve seen it twice already and I cry more every time. :’( SO GOOD!!
11. No question here, but I want you to write something good about yourself, whether it’s physical, metal, whatever. Seriously, brag all you like, because it’ll make you happy, and I’m being nosey.
I have a lot of scholarships. Like, Auburn doesn’t just pay for my tuition and room and board and fees, it actually gives me money to live on. Which is great, because otherwise I’d be living at home and going to AUM.
1. Did you make any new year’s resolutions? Do you think you’ll keep them?
2. Have you ever met anyone who you disliked at first, but changed your mind? Were your original suspicions correct?
3. What was the best family vacation you ever took?
4. Have you or any of your friends ever had something terrible (but maybe a little funny, in hindsight) happen to a pet?
5. Do you think time travel is possible in the future? Would you use it, given the opportunity? Where/how?
6. Every family has some odd quirk or other. What did you grow up doing/knowing that you thought was totally normal until you found out other families didn’t really do that? (E.g. I have a friend whose entire family shares a single set of toiletries, including one razor and one stick of deodorant. Yours is probably less weird, but…)
7. What is your biggest pet peeve?
8. If you could drop everything and move to wherever you wanted, knowing you’d have a job that you liked and a steady income, but that you could never see your family, friends, or significant other again, would you do it (assuming that you would make new friendships, not just living alone with a thousand cats or something)? Where would you go if you did?
9. What is the greatest corny pickup line you’ve ever heard? (If you don’t know any, I expect you people to google. I love corny pickup lines.)
10. What kind of humor is funniest to you? Why? Can you give some examples of things you find hilarious?
11. How do you feel about reading? Why do you love it/ hate it/ not care? If you enjoy it, what are some of your favorite books/authors?
