I'm just too young to have seen Gang of Four in their prime, but I finally saw them a couple years ago, and they were worth the wait. I owe a lot of my adoration for post punk to them.
I just read that their original bassist, Dave Allen, died this morning. He was only 69 (nice), which is so much younger than you will ever believe it is, until you are in your 50s, and realize how young that is.
May his memory be a blessing.
