s1 and s2 was school spirits (and maddie), right?

now introducing my new favourite show: hospital spirits (and xavier). i love this squad so much, you don't understand. xavier and kyle are basically besties now. maddie's dad and xavier are trying to help kyle deal with having 50 life-altering revelations a minute. nurse calvert, kyle and maddie's dad are casually uncovering the mysteries of the forgotten while the school spirits have no idea what's going on on this side of town. I LOVE THEM

also, so many squads on the show, living squad/throuple, school spirits squad, hospital squad, soon-to-be-revealed crossed over squad (plus whatever simon has going on), i'm so here for it.

the overlap in School Spirits is lowkey fascinating cuz at the end of the day at least two of them MIGHT’VE been alive at the same time/crossed paths at any given point

Janet (b. ‘42) and Rhonda (b.’44-45) were born 2-3 years apart, they had to have gone to school together, which means Rhonda was 12-13 years old witnessing the community fallout of the fire. Janet was 15 when she died.

Dawn (b. ‘54-58) and Yuri (b. ‘59-63) probably crossed paths at some point. Yuri would be around 12 when Dawn died.

Because their ages are some of the most in the air, I’ll tentatively theorise that Yuri was 16/17 and therefore born in 1960. I think Dawn might’ve been 15/16, so that would put her at closer to ‘57.

This also means Dawn would’ve been like 1 year old when Janet died and would’ve been 6 when Rhonda died (give or take). Yuri would’ve been 3 when Rhonda died (or was born the year she died).

The beef between Yuri (b. ‘60) and Wally (b. ‘65) gets funnier when you realise Yuri was 5 years old when Wally was born. Wally would’ve been 12 when Yuri died.

Mina (b. ‘69-71) could’ve either gone to school with Wally (b. ‘65) and been a few years behind or just barely missed him (like he would be entering high school the same time she started middle school). Or could’ve had a six year age gap. They died three years apart. She would’ve been 6-8 years old when Yuri died in ‘77.

The longest possible age difference between Mina (‘69-71) and Charley (‘76-79) is ten years, the shortest being 5. Charley would’ve been between 8-11 years old when she died.

Charley would’ve been 3-7 years old when Wally died.

Oh yeah also Charley could’ve been born a year before, the year of, or the year after Yuri’s death.

Emilio would’ve been alive for the deaths of Charley, Mina, Wally, and maybe Yuri growing up. As an adult, he would witness the bus crash and Maddie’s disappearance.

Quinn (‘86-88) would’ve been 6-8 years old when Charley died around 15-17 in 1994. Quinn would’ve been 1 year old when Wally died in 1987, or been born the same year, or the following year.

The last death of a named school ghost was in 2004 with the bus crash, one year before the birth of Maddie Nears in 2005.

Also assuming the actors’ ages are semi-accurate to the characters (bc they don’t have listed birth years):

Sheriff Baxter might’ve been born in the ‘60s, likely after Rhonda’s death, was likely in middle school when Dawn died, and might have gone to school with Yuri as his senior and/or as a senior to Wally. Mina, Charley, and Quinn’s deaths happened when he was out of school.

Sandra Nears (and her husband) if they grew up in Split River, would’ve been born around the 70s. They likely missed the death of Dawn, but were likely children when Yuri died and around 8-ish when Wally died. Mina was probably their senior and Charley was a year or so younger, but likely died after they graduated.

If Deborah Hunter-Price was raised in Split River, she was likely born in the early 60s give or take, and was a child when Rhonda died, a tween when Dawn died, and could’ve gone to school with Yuri. Wally would’ve been younger than her and she would see the deaths of him, Mina, Charley, and Quinn after graduating.

However, if she was born the same year as her actress Jennifer Tilly, Rhonda died the same year she was born (‘58).

SPOILER: Yuri’s theoretical child would’ve likely been born in ‘78, making them 45 in 2023. They would’ve been 5 years old for the death of Wally, 9 yo for Mina’s, 26 yo for the bus crash.

Yuri’s child also theoretically would’ve gone to school with Charley and would be 16 at the time of his death — which, depending on his unestablished birth year means they were either in his grade, or a grade above/below him. I’ve always considered Charley 15-16 though so. to each their own
