davenport here. it’s weird, but i hold more of a grudge against lucretia than i do against john. i guess it’s because i saw the hunger as a force of nature, but lucretia was a kid i knew. i trusted her, cared for her. meanwhile i never met john personally, only the nightmare he’d created.

Hello Davenport!! I hope you’re doing alright. I admit that I admire you a lot! You’re brave and intelligent, and a wonderful leader. You’re trustworthy and strong, and anyone who knows you is very lucky just by the virtue of being around you!

You’ve done so many astounding things and I’m sure you’re still doing astounding things now. And remember that not all those things need to be big! Making someone a little happier is an astounding thing, too. You’re so much more than you realize sometimes, and you’re gonna make it out just fine. You’re not alone out there.
