Ogo's Apartment. I know there's many Ogo fans out there who would love to deep dive into Ogo's apartment and how it came to be.

I designed the super computer in 2009 we needed it for the pilot, but then later in production early 2011 we built the set this was my initial rough sketch.

We had the inside BTS joke that Ogo had his dead grandparents in the apartment and used them as furniture. Was he raised by his Grand Parents? The world may never know.

The apartment had to fit inside the building exterior we a floor plan, this also helps the writers, storyboard artists and directors know the layout of the apartment for blocking out action.

I found this detail drawing for what it would look like if we pulled his arm off, which as we know happened quite a bit.

This is concept art from spring 2008 - When I first met Josh and Jenn they wrote a 2 page outline for Robot and Monster, then I sketched out first ideas for the characters. This is a great visual example of how much characters change from initial concept to final model

Sorry if somebody has already asked for this, but could we maybe see any Perry concept art (if you have any right now)??? I really like him so it’d be cool to see🥹

Yes Perry! This is the only rough concept I have - this was probably given to one of our designers to do the turns

Since I'm posting character turn- arounds here. We must have monster! You can see that I drew correction notes on this one, the hat was too tall, and I believe we leveled him mouth a bit.

would ogo use brainrot (e.g 67, skibidi, gyatt) and how would he use it. would he use it unironically or ironically? would he use it just to get on robot's nerves? would he even try inventing his own stupid brainrot slang?

He would do none of those things because they don't exist in the Robot and Monster world.

My original notes on the Ogo design. My first drawing was to help the modelers get the volumes and contours of his body. His default lazy posture was important - the line of action is kind of a lazy S even though as the character developed he was much more energetic and hyper. Also note that Gart was still named Gort at this point in the production.
