Comedy stalwart #PatrickWarburton has been upping the humor ante in films & on television for decades; the earliest I recall seeing him was in an episode of #Ellen , when that was a sitcom...although his IMDb entry lists several prior appearances in sitcoms we watched regularly. I don't know how we don't remember him from those; perhaps he simply wasn't given enough to show off his remarkable chops. I can’t believe I’m writing this. It doesn’t feel real. I’ve never cried after someone’s death. Not a celebrity. Not a friend from childhood. Not even when my own Grandpa (and I LOVED him! We just lived in different cities so I didn’t see him as much as I would have wanted...) But Harry was more than a TV Dad to me. He was even more than a father figure to me - he was a second Dad. And as we stayed in close contact as adults he loved me and supported me like a father would. He would come to my shows in New Orleans and Asheville and drop his PATENTED loving-sarcasm for a moment to look me in the eyes and say “seriously Zane, you’re a world class musician. You’re the real deal.” I can’t explain how it felt to hear that from him. He was my IDOL. I looked up to Harry from the moment he told me and my Mom “I don’t want this show to be the biggest thing he ever does.” He guided and protected me and cared for me in so many ways. I didn’t even realize how much impact he had on my life until JC texted me two days ago to say that he had died in his sleep. Harry was the friggin’ BEST and I wish all of you could have experienced his brilliance, agh! YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND how special he was. I am overcome with emotion and experiencing the grief of a losing a loved one for the first time in my life. Not in the way that people talk about a sort of general sadness surrounding a tragedy or a famous person’s death. I feel like my own family member has passed away. I’ve been crying out of nowhere during random parts of the day the last 48 hours like a crazy person cause Harry gave me SOOOO MUCH. He taught me to love TRUE magic, he taught me that there is joy and kindness and FUN in “deception” and that figuring out how things work is JUST AS BEAUTIFUL as doing them. I’m the biggest music theory nerd probably largely because of how he inspired me to love the magic process. 3 years ago he sent me a box of secret magic books and a letter that perfectly depicted his care for me. I will cherish that forever and PROMISE to learn every trick you sent me Harry...you were/are the friggin best and I wouldn’t be who I am today without you ❤️ #harryanderson #davesworld #family #for #LIFE (at CBS Studios-Radford)
