Attack on @janepflame with David 🔥
"I watched her through all of high school, waiting for that perfect moment to talk to her, but that-- that moment never came. I watched as people gradually forgot about her, and she seemed content to disappear. But not me." - David Elliot

All right, I start again with a fascinating and somewhat distraught movie named The Possession of Joel Delaney from 1972! Cast: Shirley MacLaine - Norah Benson and introducing Perry King - Joel Delaney David Elliot - Peter Benson Lisa Kohane - Carrie Benson and many more
Story: Norah, a divorced mother of two kids, takes care as well of her younger brother, Joel, yet he seems to be different from time to time, with speaking Spanish and all. Like a different man. Yet Norah still protects him after Joel attacks a man and lands in an asylum. From then it goes slowly down. He doesn't take care of his niece and nephew anymore and just is obsessed. It goes that far with killing people, beheading them and more, and at the very end he even threatens his own family. Making them dance, take off their clothes, eat dog food and more - until Norah sends her kids away and Joel still follows. An officer shoots him, yet Norah leans over him as he died and takes the knife. Is the possession now in her? Wow, what a movie! As said above, fascinating and distraught at the same time. Perry King plays well here. His first big role. No words.
To be honest, I wouldn't have played a kid in that movie. *shudder*
There are trailer but also the complete movie on Youtube - when you log in. Age verification necessary.
This is my second round and here I followed the release years!

“My first love was everything all at once. The kind you never fall back from. Never try to. Never want to. A love so big, so strong, it never dies, never fades, never loses its electricity. The kind of love you fight for.”
Rhys and Alex Pettyfer in the movie "Endless love" (2014)
If you guessed on yesterday's post that this art was for The Great Tree of Avalon (Merlin Saga Book 9), you’re right! The painting was done by two brilliant artists, winners of the Caldecott Award, Leo and Diane Dillon, in 2003. As striking as this painting is — my publisher, Penguin, decided to go for a different look, so commissioned the stunningly beautiful tree by David Elliot that graced the original hardback and paperback editions of this New York Times bestseller. Now that you know which book inspired this painting, can you guess what scene it depicts?
