“Juanita at that time [1968] was working for Mark Foy’s. She’d come back from London, Carnaby Street, and was running a little boutique in Mark Foy’s, on the ground floor I think, called The Gearbox. I was helping my friends to do the photographs for ‘Sydney NOW’. [which eventually became known ‘NOW’ magazine]. I met Juanita in that process, photographing her in various sorts of Carnaby Street type, or the Mark Foy’s irritation of that.” - David Farrell, Juanita’s business and personal partner from 1968-1974.
