I watched the first two episodes of Burden of Truth and they were really great!
The plot is very interesting, Kristin Kreuk having left her home town in the middle of the night as a kid with her father who clearly caused some uproar, goes back as a lawyer to fight a case for young girls who keep getting ill!
Then it turns out its from the land they play football/soccer on! D:
That does explain why it’s only girls when only they play there, which is a shame.
I can’t wait to see the rest and see if she can cripple the company that caused this in court! she should be able to, that’s so serious!
It is a bit Beauty and the Beast-esque with some kind of cover up/conspiracy though, in that aspect. Although, is something that could more likely happen in real life, although super soldiers probably could too tbh, as she said she did this show as it was more realistic.
With Alex Carter from many things as her dad, he’s good and I wonder what he’s hiding!

Recognizing a true heart of worship
I haven't been a worship pastor long; just under two years at this time, but in that small time, I've heard questions about what it means to have a true heart of worship. Honestly, it's a question I've been asking my whole life! Anyone can sing a song, close their eyes, or lift their hands, but what does it mean to really WORSHIP?
Growing up in the church, I've been exposed to what everyone's preconceived notions of what worship is. Some people don't think you're doing it right if you're not closing your eyes, or raising your hands, or singing loudly. Please, if you're reading this blog, understand that those notions are made up by people who have no authority to tell you exactly what worship is. Now, am I saying that I'm the ultimate authority, to tell you what it means to worship?
NO. NOT IN THE LEAST.
See, I truly believe that no man is given the right to tell someone exactly how to worship, because worship is between one's self, and God. It's part of your relationship with YOUR heavenly father. It would be as though you had a boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, or wife, and someone gave you a strict guideline to follow, in respect to your relationship. When you could see them, or talk to them, or hold them, or say “I love you,” would all be compiled onto this list of “do's and don'ts” in your relationship.
You wouldn't like that, would you? Neither would I. It's the same in this situation!
Don't ever be tied down into someone else' notion of what worship is, because true worship; the Lord's worship, stems from your own personal relationship to Christ. It is unique, and special, and is to be individual. God didn't create us to be mindless, robot, followers, who all act the same. No, He's graced us with the gifts of originality, and personality. Both make up a huge portion of our relationship with Christ, and to let that be bogged down by someone else' ideas, is simply wrong, and is getting in the way of your one-on-one relationship with a God who loves you.
My good friend gave me a book a couple years ago called “Worship 23.5 hours.”
The title refers to how you live the rest of your life (23.5 hours a day) apart from the 20 to 40 minutes usually spent in worship in a typical church service. It's written by David Hanley, a foursquare worship pastor who's led at many churches in his time of over 15 years (most recently being New Hope), and he has this to say about this matter:
“Should worship be 20 minutes, or 30? Should it be spontaneous, or planned? Should it matter what it looks like? Sounds like? I believe too many people and churches have gotten caught up in all these things, and have in fact turned away from the responsibilities of leadership, and traded it in for what THEY THINK is a more spiritual approach.
Liberate yourself in knowing that there are many different styles of churches and many different styles of worship – but they're just that, STYLES.”
Ultimately, what it boils down to, is where YOU are with Jesus. How do YOU want to worship, based on your relationship, rather than based on those around you.
“If someone other than your Pastor is telling you, or critiquing you or your worship – relax, they are already out of touch with what true worship is. Just pray for them, because true worship is the farthest thing from a critiquing, critical, and negative spirit.”
Enjoy worship, and don't be critical. Worship can be one of the most enlightening experiences you can have with the Lord, on a daily basis. Let it be that.
-Joshua Cottrell Isaiah 29:13
Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near to me with their mouth and with their lips do honor me: but have removed their heart far from me and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men.
John 4:23-24 But the time is coming and is already here, when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for anyone who will worship him that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship him MUST worship in spirit and in truth.” 1 Chronicles 22:19 Now set your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God.
