Plus Sized Mate-The Lost Boys HC

For everyone that’s been asking for Lost Boys content-here is a Headcanon that I’ve been thinking on for a long time

•The boys have been alive so long that body type doesn’t really matter to them at all.

Y/n being “Plus Sized” isn’t a thing in their minds. So she’s a bit bigger than the average girl that flirts with them-to the Boys it genuinely means there’s more of their mate for them to love.

•Upon turning into a vampire, Y/n found that she hated sleeping upside down and so she stayed in the bed that the boys had ended up stealing for her when they wanted her in the cave and as close as they could get her to them during the day. It was a Queen sized mattress from a mattress store as well as 4 box springs that they all tape together thoroughly with like 10 rolls of duct tape to make sure they don’t move-vampire or not her boys are unwilling to risk her getting hurt if she falls-before putting the mattress on top so it is about 4 feet off the ground

•One of the boys sleeps with her in her bed every night and they alternate who it gets to be as they always want it to be them-they had tried all of them sleeping together in the bed but there is not enough room and not enough her to keep them all happy

•Sometimes 2 of them will get in the bed on either side of her if they’re having a particularly hard/needy day for whatever reason

For instance-Marko had a bad night once (while Y/n was still human), first his steering on his bike jammed up and he ended up crashing into a tree-thank God Y/n had decided to ride with Dwayne that night for whatever reason, then he ended up in a fight with the Surf Nazis while picking up food and dropped all of it in the fight (though Y/n cleaned the blood off of him which was nice), then he had gone out to the store to get Y/n tampons as she had gotten her period early and they refused to let her go home (something about not wanting her out of their presence when she is weak) only to get stuck in the sun on the way home and stealing a giant thick comforter from a Bed Bath and Beyond to cover himself-though he was still sizzling by the time he got back into their sleeping chamber. Y/n freaked out, livid that she had nearly lost him just because they couldn’t let her go to the store by herself-she insisted that Dwayne had to share her for the night as Marko’d had a traumatic day and he desperately needed snuggles

•They all loved to snuggle with her at any time

Paul’s favorite was snuggling on the couch when she let him rest his head on her thick thighs as they were perfect pillows and sometimes it even led to her allowing his face between her legs until those legs were shaking

Dwayne’s favorite was resting on the couch with Y/n between his legs with her head leant back on his chest where he could play with/braid her hair

David’s favorite was her snuggled on his lap in his wheelchair with her face in his neck where he could also lean into her neck and have a taste of her sweet blood if she was in a giving mood

Markos favorite was when Y/n was on the boardwalk with them while they scouted out a meal, her sitting on the railing with him between her legs-he would wrap his arms around her waist and rest his head on her breasts with her arms around him making sure she didn’t fall backwards either into the water or onto the sand depending on where on the Boardwalk they were, her fingers in his hair and scratching his scalp

•The Boys did Not take kindly to anyone commenting negatively on their mates size

If it was Surf Nazi’s then the boys would immediately beat the shit out of whichever one had made the comment before eating all of them later that night

If it was girls-it was usually said out of malice as they wanted to be in her place snuggled up in Dwayne’s arms or wrapped around David’s back on his bike (typically a group of girls)-and the boys would either snub them or make a comment about the girl clearly being a whore before eating them later

Male or female didn’t matter-if you offend their mate you get eaten. Period.

•All 4 of the boys carried their mate around as often as possible, determined to show her that she was not heavy in the slightest and even though she insisted she hated being carried, they knew she loved it and they did it anyway every day

Dwayne did this the most often, scooping her up anywhere they were and carrying her no matter who was watching-especially on the boardwalk

•They loved their mate no matter her size and they were determined to make her know that-no matter how long it takes

I knocked on the door to David’s office. I held a stack of papers in my hand and bit my lip, knowing he wouldn’t be too happy about them.

“David?” I peeked my head in. He picked his head up off the desk and I had to fight the smile growing on my face. “I have some more papers for you to sign.”

“More?” He frowned. I nodded as I walked over. Setting them on the desk, I squeezed his shoulder. “On my birthday? You couldn’t have had any of this pushed to tomorrow?”

“I’m sorry.” I said softly as his head hit the desk again. I gently rubbed his back as he groaned. “Don’t forget the party tonight.” I whispered before leaving down to kiss his cheek. David grunted in acknowledgment as I left the office. The time dragged slowly. David had emerged from his office to bring me back the paperwork and pressed a kiss to my cheek. As the last of the staffers left, I knocked on his door again. “Time to go.”

“Oh bloody hell yes.” David said, breathing a sigh of relief. “Fucking boring day.” I nodded in agreement as he took my hand.

“so anything specific you want to do tonight?” I asked as we turned out the lights and started to head out. David smiled as me as he tugged me closer before wrapping his arm around my waist to keep me close.

“I have an idea.” He teased, kissing me firmly. I laughed into the kiss and put my hands on his chest. I gently pushed him and David pulled back. “What? Not a good idea?”

“maybe after the party.” I said, smiling at him softly. David smiled back as he squeezed my waist. “Down boy.” We broke apart and headed down to the car that was waiting for us.

“Hello Nigel.” David greeted the driver. Nigel nodded as he held the door open for us. We climbed in and Nigel got in before driving off. “So this party…how long do we have to stay?” I laid my head on his shoulder and David kissed my head.

“I’ll let you know when we can go.” I assured him. “Probably after cake and presents.” David sighed as he leaned his head against mine.

“that seems entirely too long.” He breathed out. I laughed before tilting my head to look up at him. “Damn party. I don’t understand why I have to even show up at this damn event.”

“because your the prime minister.” I teased him. David sighed and let his head fall back against the seat.

“fuck this job.” He laughed. “I liked it better when it was just the two of us in that little apartment down in Manchester.” I hummed as I wrapped an arm around him.

“that was nice. But you campaigned. This is your fault really.” I smiled softly at him as he started laughing again.

“you’re right. You’re completely right.” He chuckled. I smiled at him before I leaned up to kiss him. David hummed against my lips as we pulled up in front of the house. “Let’s get this over with. And then we can run away to our room as soon as possible.”

“agreed.” I said as I took David’s hand and followed him into the house.

The Santa Carla boardwalk was bustling with life as (Y/N) walked hand in hand with her four vampire companions: Marko, Paul, Dwayne, and David. They were known as the Lost Boys, the notorious group of nocturnal creatures that ruled the night in this coastal town. For (Y/N), they were more than just companions; they were her mates, her official but unofficial husbands in the eyes of their vampiric society.

As they strolled among the neon lights, a sense of melancholy crept over her. Children ran by, laughter and joy emanating from their every move. Parents watched over them with love and pride, and the longing in (Y/N)'s heart deepened. She knew that as a vampire, she could never experience the joy of parenthood. Vampires couldn't reproduce, and that realization weighed heavily on her.

(Y/N) glanced at her boys beside her, their immortal beauty accentuated by the boardwalk lights. Their existence was eternal, but it was also devoid of the simple pleasures of human life. While they didn't age, they were forever frozen in time, unable to grow, change, or have children of their own. A pang of sadness washed over her as she wished for something she could never have.

Later that night, as they returned to their hidden lair deep in the cliffs overlooking the Pacific, (Y/N) nestled herself in the makeshift nest of blankets and pillows. She was wrapped up tightly, seeking comfort from the emotional storm brewing within her. Unbeknownst to her, the Lost Boys could feel her emotions, her sadness radiating like a palpable energy in the room.

Dwayne, always the most observant of the group, spoke up. "Did anyone else notice (Y/N) unusual behavior today on the boardwalk?" His voice was soft but laced with concern.

David, the leader of the Lost Boys, nodded. "Yes, I did. She seemed...distressed."

Marko and Paul exchanged glances, equally troubled by the apparent sadness in their mate's heart. "You think she's craving something?" Paul asked, voicing the thought that lingered in all their minds.

Dwayne sighed, running a hand through his dark hair. "It's possible. She was watching the children and their families."

David's eyes darkened as he considered the implications. They all knew that satisfying this desire wouldn't be easy. They couldn't simply snatch a random child, not only because it would be cruel but also because it would anger (Y/N) beyond measure.

"We need to find a way to make her happy," David said finally. "We owe it to her. She's given up so much to be with us."

Marko nodded in agreement. "Let's figure this out, together. (Y/N) deserves our best efforts."

Paul chimed in, determination in his voice. "We can't give her a child, but maybe we can find something else that will fill that void in her heart."

As the boys huddled together, their bond as strong as ever, they were united by a single goal: to bring happiness to the woman they cherished above all else, even if it meant navigating the complex emotions of parenthood they could never truly understand.

The night was still young, and only a few hours remained until the dreaded sunrise. The boys knew they had to act quickly to address the longing that had gripped their mate, (Y/N). With determined hearts, they mounted their motorcycles and rode down to Max's store on the boardwalk. The neon lights of Santa Carla painted the night in an eerie glow as they approached the familiar establishment.

Maria, Max's human employee, greeted them with a warm smile as they entered the store. "Hey, boys. Max is in his office."

The boys nodded in thanks and headed toward Max's office. They didn't waste any time with pleasantries when they walked in, their faces etched with worry and anxiety.

Max, reclined in his office chair, raised an eyebrow at their seemingly disrespectful entrance. "What's got you all so riled up?" he asked, his tone tinged with annoyance.

David stepped forward, his voice steady but full of concern. "Max, we need your advice and assistance. (Y/N) is going through something, and we don't know how to help her."

Max leaned back, his curiosity piqued. "Go on."

David took a deep breath and explained the situation. "Our mate wants a baby, Max. She's been feeling this emptiness, a desire that we can't fulfill. We can't just take someone's child; that's not who we are."

Max nodded thoughtfully, steepling his fingers. "It's not uncommon for a female vampire to experience these feelings from time to time," he mused. "Left unchecked, it can become problematic."

Marko, his anxiety growing, couldn't help but speak up. "So what do you suggest we do?"

Max regarded them with a knowing look. "Santa Carla is teeming with runaways and lost souls, boys. Finding an unsuspecting victim on the streets should not be a challenge. It would be a temporary solution to ease her pain."

The boys shifted uncomfortably in their seats, the weight of Max's suggestion settling on their consciences. It was a dark and morally questionable path, one they had always tried to avoid.

But as the seconds ticked away, they realized they were running out of time to make a decision. The coming dawn reminded them of their own immortality and the fleeting nature of the night.

"Thank you, Max," David said, gratitude in his eyes. "We'll consider it."

Max nodded and leaned back in his chair. "Remember, boys, sometimes the choices we make for the ones we love aren't easy."

With that, the boys left Max's office, the weight of their decision heavy on their shoulders. They knew they had to find a way to bring happiness to (Y/N), but at what cost? The night held its secrets, and they had a long, dark road ahead of them.

The next night, the boys and their mate, (Y/N), found themselves once again on the bustling Santa Carla boardwalk. (Y/N) leaned against Dwayne, her head resting on his shoulder, as they walked in sync with the rhythmic ebb and flow of the crowd.

David, always watchful, scanned the surroundings, his eyes darting from person to person. (Y/N) noticed his vigilant demeanor and furrowed her brows. "Is everything okay, David?" she asked, concern lacing her voice.

Paul, never one to hide the truth from (Y/N), stepped forward, his voice gentle but firm. "We need to tell you something, (Y/N). Max suggested a solution to your...desires. David is likely keeping an eye out for a child."

(Y/N)'s expression shifted from curiosity to a deep frown. She gave Paul a sad smile and shook her head. "You don't have to do that, boys. I appreciate your efforts, but we don't need to..."

Her words were cut short as she suddenly stopped walking. A bewildered look crossed the faces of the boys as they watched her go silent. Concern etched lines into their brows as they approached her.

"What's wrong, (Y/N)?" Dwayne asked softly.

Her gaze was distant, her senses focused on something they couldn't perceive. "Do you hear that?" she whispered, her voice barely audible over the din of the boardwalk.

The boys exchanged puzzled glances. "Hear what?" Marko questioned.

"My child," (Y/N) said, her voice quivering with emotion. "It's calling out to me."

With newfound determination, (Y/N) moved quickly through the crowd, following an invisible pull that only she could sense. The boys exchanged glances again, realization dawning upon them.

"Guess the hunt's on," David remarked, and they followed her, careful not to lose sight of her in the bustling crowd.

As they ventured deeper into the night, they lost sight of (Y/N) for a moment. Anxiety gripped them until, finally, she reappeared with a bright smile that illuminated her face. She held the hand of a young girl, no more than seven or eight years old, with big, innocent eyes.

"Boys, meet Star," (Y/N) said, her eyes shining with happiness. "She wants to hang with us tonight. Is that alright?"

The boys gazed at the child, their hearts heavy with the weight of their decision. But when they saw the genuine joy in (Y/N)'s eyes, they couldn't deny her this moment of happiness.

"Yeah, baby, she can hang," Paul said with a reassuring smile, and then the rest of the boys welcomed Star into their nocturnal world, hoping that this newfound connection would bring solace to (Y/N) and fill the void that had haunted her for so long.

Eventually the four of them wondered off to (Y/n)'s house, thankful that they could still communicate telepathically. The sound of several animals pawing at her door pulled her attention away from wax whittling. So with curiosity she sat the wax rose she were creating aside, and opened the side door to her home. The door the boys always preferred to use. "What the?" (Y/n) frowned in confusion, peering down at four cats she didn't recognize. "Hey!" She exclaimed when they all four bolted into her home, the yellow cat with short hair leading the charge.

"Get off of that coat Mr. Kitty Cat." (Y/n) ordered, sighing when he only pawed at the cost in response. "David will kill me if he finds his coat covered in white cat hair, so get away from that coat you little monster." (Y/n)'s pleading coming out more like a threat. "I could never kill you doll." David's voice rang in (Y/n)'s head, making her jump in surprise. "Wh- what the fuck, David where are you?" (Y/n) gazed around the room, confusion evident on her face.

"Over here sugar." David's voiced called out again, echoing in her head until her wondering eyes locked onto the white cat. "David?" She whispered while maintaining eye contact with the cat, nearly jumping out of her skin when the feline nodded its head in agreement. "How?... What happened?..." (Y/n) tripped over the rug in her living room as she approached the cat, the other three sauntering in behind her, and making themselves comfortable on the couch. "We pissed off a witch." This time Dwayne's voice rang in her mind, pulling her attention subconsciously to the black cat. "You all got turned into cats... Because you pissed off a witch?" (Y/n) questioned, bursting into laughter when they all nodded their heads in confirmation.

"That's gotta be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard!" She snickered before wiping a tear away from her eye. "This is no laughing matter." David scolded, instantly shutting (Y/n) up. "Right..." She chuckled bashfully, feeling bad for laughing at her lovers predicament. "Hey wait a minute, how can I hear you in my head?" (Y/n) questioned. "You're our mate, you're connected to us, we can hear you, and you can hear us." Dwayne explained as he nuzzled his head into her palm. "Well how come you've never spoken to me this way before?" She wondered while petting Dwayne's head, a small smile appearing on her face when he purred in response. "We never needed to until now." David mused casually, still perched upon his coat.

"Okay so then why did you run around my house causing chaos, instead of just telling me what was going on right away?" (Y/n) asked now pulling her hand away from Dwayne, a disapproving look upon her face. "Because it was fun." Paul's voice called out, pulling (Y/n)'s attention to the long haired yellow cat. "Let me guess, it was Marco's idea?" (Y/n) hummed before jumping in fright, as the fourth and final cat pounced on her hand, nipping at her knuckles with his front paws wrapped around her wrist. "Marco!" (Y/n) cried out in mock offense, despite the small smile stretched across her face. "You're so cute when you're frustrated babe." Marco cooed as he pulled his tiny teeth away from (Y/n)'s now red skin.

"You four are going to be the death of me." (Y/n) rolled her eyes with a small laugh. "Well technically yes we are, once we turn you that is." Paul mused as Dwayne jumped up to stand across (Y/n)'s shoulders. "Oh so clever." She hummed sarcastically as Dwayne laid himself across her shoulders, and Paul jumped down from the back of the couch, nuzzling himself into her palm for head pats. "So what am I supposed to do about this?" (Y/n) then asked as she looked to David, her hands occupied with both Paul and Marco. "You don't have to do anything doll, the spell will wear off in a few days." David stated as a matter of fact. "This has happened before hasn't it?" (Y/n) asked with an accusing tone. "Like five times." Marco snickered, making (Y/n) snort in response.

"Technically this is the first time we've been turned into cats." Dwayne added casually, his tail flicking back and forth calmly. "What else have you been turned into?" (Y/n) wondered with a grin, finding this news incredibly hilarious. "Mice, rabbits, birds, and even spiders... That one was weird." Paul listed off, as he rolled onto his back, wanting (Y/n) to rub his belly. "So you guys just keep pissing off the same witch, and getting yourselves turned into animals?" (Y/n) shook her head with a laugh. "Not the same witch, but her bloodline." David corrected. "Why?" (Y/n) questioned. "That's a good question." Marco suddenly stopped in his fidgeting with (Y/n)'s hand. "I don't actually know why we keep doing it." Dwayne's voice clearly held confusion. "Neither do I." David admitted.

"Wow so you've been taunting this family for generations, getting yourselves turned into animals, and you don't even know why you keep doing it." (Y/n) shook her head giggling. "That is actually pretty ridiculous." Paul chimed in, flinching when David yelled at him to "Fuck off!", The sudden outburst making (Y/n) snicker. "Well the suns going to be up in about an hour. Are you guys going home, or are you staying here?" Asked when she took notice of the time. "We're staying here until this spell wears off." David stated. "Okay... What about feeding, how's that going to work?" (Y/n) asked. "We can still hunt." David didn't elaborate further, and (Y/n) didn't push it. "Alright well I'm ready to go crash, so come on boys, down to the basement we go." (Y/n) hummed as she stood up, leaving Dwayne on her shoulders.

Once down it the windowless basement, the three cats that had been following behind (Y/n), darted down into the darkness. (Y/n) closed and locked the basement door. Then she moved the homemade door seal into place, a large metal frame that looked like a screen door. Effectively covering all of the gaps around the door, which would ensure that no sunlight would seep into the basement from the kitchen windows. As she descended the steps she flicked on the lights, a mass of fairy lights hanging from the ceiling lighting up the basement in a soft glow of gold. Once she stepped off of the last step Dwayne leapt from her shoulders, running to join the others in the massive nest of sorts, that they had built when they first started sleeping over.

(Y/n) flipped a different switch on the wall, which switched most of the lights off, but left just enough still glowing to allow (Y/n) enough viability to cross the room. Once satisfied with the dim light she kicked off her boots, and approached the nest of probably hundreds of blankets and pillows. "Scooch over Paul." (Y/n) requested, flopping down into the comfy nest when he moved, a hum of happiness passing her lips when the four of them nestled themselves on and around her. "I love you guys, even as cats." (Y/n) mused, nuzzling her face with Paul's as he had practically wrapped himself around her neck. A chorus of I love you's coming one by one from her lovers, but immediately afterwards David nipped her arm. "Hey what was that for?" (Y/n) pouted. "For teasing us." He stated before making himself comfortable, his answer making (Y/n) roll her eyes playfully.

It took me forever to answer this because I’ve been Thinkin about it, and this is the conclusion I’ve reached:

David would be so hot sitting in a dark corner booth in a strip club are you KIDDING ME just imagine him there, feet kicked up as he watches you on stage, eyes glinting hungrily as they follow the curves and lines of your body…of course he’s immediately hooked, and it’s you he wants to take back to VIP and nobody else.

He’s so cool and collected, calling you pet names from the start. At first you think he’s a little irritating because he seems like the kind of guy who wants to be annoying and play mind games to get out of tipping you, but he wants to take you back for dances, and he’s flashing a wad of cash…

And he immediately makes himself comfy on the black leather couch while you yank the curtain closed, and when you turn to look at him, he looks hungry. He beckons for you, more with his eyes than his hands, and as you slide into his lap with a knee on either side of his legs, his hands find your thighs and squeeze.

He doesn’t ask for extras but you can hear the way his breath hitches when you grind on him, and he’s too busy enjoying the rest of you to say much besides purring your stage name and calling you his kitten. He’s so strangely warm, in a way that just doesn’t feel right…but he’s too handsome and too high paying for you to really question it, and soon, he’s coming to see you every weekend, and he starts bringing his weird friends along too.

Which is actually a good thing, because they keep the Surf Nazis away, and they settle into the club so quickly and so well that it’s almost like they own the place. In their minds, they totally do.

- The lost boys cave is sat on the outskirts of town, completely deserted with only the Pacific as it’s neighbor. It’s secluded and cozy: hidden away from prying eyes and right up against the sea; the perfect area for you to be lured into the ocean like a horny fisherman watching a school of sirens. 

- It’s the middle of the night when you find yourself being led down the outer, rickety staircase of the collapsed hotel. The noise the boys are making in front of you isn’t enough to mask the creaking of the steps and you look out nervously towards the water lapping at the rocky shore; pondering your own fragile mortality. 

- You’re somewhat aware of the vague agreement which seemed to be reached within the confines of the cave; something about water and taking a dip or cooling off, and though you’re sure that you’ve gotten the gist, you’re still not sure of the specifics. 

- Perhaps if it were anyone else, you’d be a little more comfortable when assuming the events of the future. But it isn’t anyone else, it’s them, and whenever you seem to be growing used to them; growing used to their wild behavior, they throw a curveball at you and make it expressly aware that predictability is not one of their strong suits. 

- You pause on the bridge and watch as they continue forward, silently surveying the group as they talk and laugh amongst themselves. They don’t question you; don’t even seem to notice your momentary stillness, and you watch as Paul, in typical Paul fashion, up and sheds his clothing without a second thought. Only then do you begin to realize what you’ve gotten yourself into.

- It’s not that you’re a prude or that you haven’t done anything crazy in your life; hanging out with vampires is an arguably wild past time in itself, it’s just that this sort of thing is …different. You could think that you were the most gorgeous girl in the world but it wouldn’t change the fact that you’d never even been in a bikini around these guys; let alone in the nude. 

- So, forgive you for being hesitant, but you weren’t exactly jumping to disrobe. And they weren’t forcing you to either: David was still sat on the shore a little ways away and though you’re certain the other boy’s will tease you for being a goody two shoes, you don’t feel a sense of pressure that’s demanding you to follow suit. 

- So, initially, you don’t. You shoot a glance towards Dwayne who’s lingering at the end of the bridge, seemingly waiting for you to follow, and you slowly sit down, wordlessly letting him know that you’re staying right there. He takes the hint and you watch as he tugs off his own jacket, taking off his clothes piece by piece until he’s completely in the nude; as though this were an everyday occurrence for the boys. 

- You watch them splash around for a little while, laughing as they mess with each other and call out to you; swimming up and splashing at or tugging on your legs which are hanging off the edge of the aged boards beneath you. And though this in itself is fun enough, you decide that you want to join in. So; to a chorus of whoops and cheers from your vampiric audience, you stand up and start to take off your clothes. 

- Initially, you keep your underwear on, but their teasing boos and “nu-uhs” stop you. They jokingly insist that there are naked only rules to the water and you playfully argue before sheepishly relenting; quickly finishing the job and jumping into the water before they can see too much of you. 

- You resurface and gasp at how freezing the water is, immediately beginning to shiver as they laugh at you. Paul swims around you and huskily teases that “he can warm you up”, snickering as you affectionately tell him to shut up. 

- It’s so cold that you can’t help but question if “this is really fun to [them]”; trying your best to get used to the water as goosebumps run up and down your entire body. They barely respond; too busy messing with each other and displaying behavior which would never be allowed in a public pool, but they do say “sure it is” and you roll your eyes as your teeth chatter. 

- David's still on the shore so you focus your attention on getting him to share in your misery, insisting that he has to come in if everyone else; especially you, is. He just smirks and listens to you with a quirked brow.

- Nevertheless, he relents and gingerly takes off his own clothing, smiling at the boys joking comments about how you’re “all alone with them” and that he “can’t stop anything from happening to you”. 

- And thus, the skinny dipping begins....

- Hanging out around Paul or Marko means getting ogled, getting into splash fights and being pulled underwater like the first victim of a cheesy shark movie. Messing with you and occasionally forming alliances; in which you team up and mess with the remaining terror twin, is their favorite thing to do. 

- They definitely try to convince you to bob up and let them see or touch your chest and they’ll whine whenever you; purposefully or not, let someone else do it instead of them. 

- They also take turns sneakily touching you and trying to freak you out: “secretly” touching you before trying to convince you that it was seaweed or that there’s something in the water. It backfires when you decide to stay close to one of the other boys and refuse to let the two of them come near you. 

- Dwayne is the “person” you can have a conversation with as your teeth chatter and who you can trust to touch you without it turning sexual. Being around him feels more intimate and romantic compared to the others members of the group and you’re still unsure of whether or not he’s doing it on purpose. 

- David kind of accepts being in the water like a cat. You’re gonna have to swim towards him and convince him to have fun, wrapping your arms around his neck with a smile as his hands tighten around your waist. 

- Dwayne is probably the one who convinces you that it’s actually time to get out. You swim up to him and make some comment about looking crazy; with your drenched hair and running makeup, and he responds that you look beautiful but that your lips are turning blue, offering to grab you a towel or your clothes; even as the other boys boo his proposal. 

- After you get out, you sit on the shore in a towel or some of your clothes and wring out your hair as the boys lounge around you like they’re in a Grecian painting. 

- You stay out there until you can’t take it anymore and head back inside, following the boys through the labyrinth of rocky tunnels until you’re back inside the cave and in front of the fire; ignoring how unfairly sexy the boys look in it’s orange glow. 

- Dwayne sits next to you and brushes the hair from your face as the sound of the boys boombox starts to play behind you. You talk quietly with him and listen to the sounds of Paul and Marko jumping around; and their choice of music, before you meet eyes with David who stares pleasantly into your soul. 

- You can’t help but think about how you could really get used to all this....

he had never seen a more beautiful sight than the one you provided: splayed out on bed in the dim candlelight, an ocean of disheveled sheets beneath you. your scent would cling to them and everything you’ve touched this night long after you left at daybreak, and unbeknownst to you, he would carry the thin scrap of lingerie from between your legs to his resting place to relish in the aroma until he could find you again. with the tips of his fingers, icy and rough, buried in the warmth between your thighs, his hungry gaze is further starved by the way your back arches up off the bed.

seraphic moans are strung together into a song that he could play on an endless loop in his mind while you’re gone; pearly fangs tear into the yielding flesh of the lower portion of his mouth, before the couplet presses a chaste kiss to your temple, the tip of his nose grazing your roots, dampened by perspiration, so that he may inhale you raw. “Let go, baby,” he urges, but your grip finds his wrist between your hips, even as your breathing quickens. it’s a silent cue, a sign that you were holding back from him. it was not the only one, he makes mental notes of the subtle hints: the way you shy away from him, look to your right (opposite of him) when you release, and the heated blush that keeps your skin simmering. it’s not simply an afterglow, but your skin is flushed with embarrassment. his name is a prayer upon your lips, and if his heart could beat, it would skip a beat with each syllable whimpered.

David never asked. your secrets were your own; if you told him, he was certain someone would have to pay. they would regardless, but guilt would haunt him if he were to take the pleasure of retribution from you. when he would much rather lead you to it- place them at your mercy, all of the miserable, damned bastards that have wronged you, hurt you, and watch you destroy them all. of course, there was also the matter of him selfishly yearning to have you to himself for the rest of eternity.

“My girl,” he whispers, his words slurred as his lips linger against your temple. “I could watch you cum all night.”

a soft chuckle escapes your lips as you shift on the mattress, reaching for the sheet that you hastily cover yourself with. your palm presses the fabric flat against your chest and you pull yourself into a sitting position, back to him as your gaze finds the rusted clock at the bedside. “You have,” you whisper in response. “It’ll be daylight soon. I can let myself out if you need to go.” you were used to the routine by now, you’d executed it countless times. however tragic your heart finds it, David existed in the night, and you in the day.

David doesn’t answer right away, pushing up off the bed to sit behind you. his fingers, still fresh with the scent of your release, trace the nape of your neck, inching down your left shoulder. “What if you didn’t?”

your brows knit almost immediately upon hearing him. turning, you cast a curious glance at him from over your shoulder. “What if I didn’t what?”

“Leave. What if you could stay with me?”

what he was asking didn’t make sense at first; it had always been him that insisted you never stay during the day. he had given different reasons, but the most important was that he and the others nested differently, that you would be alone until the sun went down. and now? now, he was suggesting you stay?

“But you said-“

his expression changes, as if he’s tensed. David shakes his head with a chuckle, but it’s one of the flattest you’ve ever heard. “I know what I said. But I don’t mean just today-”leaning forward, his hand dips beneath the cotton sheet hem. “What if you could stay with me, forever? Would you do that?”

normally accustomed to the chill of his touch, when paired with what he was suggesting, you nearly stop breathing, eyes wide and searching his countenance for any hint that he was joking. “You... You mean -? David, are you talking about being a- like you?” it was as if the word was completely erased from your vocabulary, and you struggled to comprehend the definition in this moment, when any other time it was so simple. you’d said it so many times before in reference to him, his friends, in general, so why is it that when you imagine yourself as one you can’t seem to form the word?

his expression softens, as if he’s aware that the word is haunting you, tormenting your mind, and presses his lips to your shoulder, emitting the softest of sighs. “I’m asking you to be a vampire.” he confirms your suspicion, and you could swear the room started to spin. the only thing keeping you grounded was his mouth connected to your skin, but even that was waning. drowning, that was the sensation that closely resembled what you were feeling as fear attacks every muscle, freezing you in place. his lips are careful in their trek along your skin, and he must’ve noticed your hesitation because he speaks again. “Think about it, baby, never grow old, never die...” the lingering pause has you more intrigued than before, head tilting slightly as you await what is building suspense to be the final reason to let him turn you. it doesn’t come. not unprovoked.

“And?”

“And get revenge,” David’s voice is low and husky, dangerous, and so fitting to what he was suggesting. “Anyone who’s ever hurt you before or even thinks about it, we’ll rip them to shreds for the hell of it. You will be untouchable to anyone and anything but me,” with palms clasping together beneath the sheet, his forearms rub against your torso. the offer became increasingly tempting as you pondered vengeance. you’d never been one to hold meaningless grudges, but you held the scars from a couple of beings in particular, whether those were visible or emotional. those people didn’t deserve to live peacefully, you have thought so many times before, not after what they’d done to you. David’s lips dance up towards your nape again, taking their time to savor the taste of your flesh; you could feel the scrape of his fangs, but you were so much more trusting of him than anyone else. “Join me,” he coaxes, the spectral whisper as enchanting as the man it belongs to, “Be with me forever.”

the air was thicker, harder to breathe, and your lungs struggle to process the oxygen provided with your ragged breathing, just short of hyperventilating. eyes darting to each dark corner of the room, you could see the movement, sense them. the three of them. Dwayne, Marko, Paul, closing in on the bed from all angles. three pairs of glowing eyes illuminate anticipating countenances, all stoic. it was a far cry from their usual, rambunctious nature, but you had a feeling that your answer would determine what would happen next.

it was almost difficult to will your mouth to form the words. “No- no one could hurt me?”

“No one would dare,” David corrects. “You’d never have to hide again, no more being afraid, weak. Just freedom. Power.” his arm extends, to meet Marko’s, and receive the gilded bottle that was offered to him. you watch from the corner of your eye, facing straight ahead so as not to make direct eye contact with any of them. your heart pounded so fiercely you could swear they could hear it, if not feel it vibrating. David’s arm snakes around to rest the butt of the bottle in your lap, whilst his other hand finds yours, and guides it to the neck. your digits coil around the cool glass, eyes falling to the crimson liquid that sloshes about within it. blood. David’s, in fact. “Free yourself. Choose to stay with me, with us, forever. Drink it.” he’s at the shell of your ear, whispering with an urgency you’ve never heard before.

for once, you look to each of them. they seem to mirror one another: stiff and anxious, eager to see you drink. your teeth tug at your lower lip, considering refusing. would they hurt you? would David despise you? you would be alive, human, but what did that matter? being human only meant you were weak. that you could be hurt by other humans, again. you’d promised yourself once before that you would never allow yourself to be hurt again, and here, the opportunity to keep your promise has, quite literally, fallen into your lap. you suck in a ragged breath, closing your eyes tightly, and instead of answering him directly, you press the rim to your tiers and turn the bottle up.

the very moment the viscous liquid breaches the threshold of your mouth, the boys erupt in excitement. whoops and howls demonstrate their happiness to see you joining their little, makeshift family. Paul and Dwayne high five, while Marko grips the bed post, hanging off of it with a smirk a mile wide. your face twists in disgust as you relinquish the bottle into David’s hands (who disposes of it by setting it on the bedside table), wiping the back of your hand against your lips to smear the blood. the strangest warmth washes over your entire body; no, not warmth. heat. a searing, boiling sensation in your veins that has you gripping the sheet that conceals your naked body tighter, teeth grinding, and a muffled whimper of pain is kept within your mouth via the barrier your teeth create. your stomach begins to twist, as if your intestines are being pretzeled.

David, very quickly, picks up on your discomfort and swaddles the rest of your body in the sheet, scooping you into his arms. “It hurts at first, I know. You’ll feel better after you’ve slept.” weightless, he soars to the far corner of room near the ceiling, reaching the cave-like entrance that you’ve watched them disappear into it countless mornings. you never thought you’d see the inside of it, but it is precisely as dirty, cold, and claustrophobic as you’d expected it to be. turning in his grip, you bury your face in his bare chest, gritting your teeth again.

“W-what’s going to happen to me?”

a soft chuckle vibrates his otherwise lifeless chest. bare feet grip the rafters, inverting. you’re already feeling much too sick to look, but you know you’re upside down, safely tucked in his arms. “When you wake up, you’ll feel much different. You’ll be all but completely turned, and we’ll teach you to feed, starting with one of the saps that hurt you.”

Max had made the rules of his coven very clear.

In joining and choosing to become a vampire, they gave up everything of their past lives. David knew that long before the man's blood touched his lips. However, it was when it actually came down to going off the grid and leaving everything behind that he just couldn't go through with it. 

At least, not completely. 

Cutting out his parents was not a big deal for David, as they were hardly around anyway and he'd managed to get all the guys on board too, so he wasn't losing them. The only thing he couldn't leave behind was you. 

You were his everything, even if he forgot to admit it sometimes. You had always been there for him and he loved you, in a way that he'd never loved anyone before. 

Now, there were a few options; David could move on, and never look back, he could ask you to join him with the others, or he could keep you a secret. In any case though, he understood that what he had planned, what he was going to do, was crazy. 

He knew that there was no way he could leave you behind, no matter how much he knew that he should, and there was no way that you would ever agree if he was to ask you if you wanted to partake with him. 

Besides, you had a lot going for you and it wouldn't be right to take that all away from you. You had a bright future ahead of you, in a way that David just didn't. 

There was a reason he'd been telling you that you were too good for him since the two of you had started going out. It wouldn't be fair to ask you to give that all up and it wasn't his call to take that away.

He just wanted to give you the best shot at the life you deserved that he couldn't, and David knew what that meant. However, he just couldn't bring himself to leave you behind. David didn't want to be without you, and as selfish as that was, he didn't care. 

Even if he had to lie, anything would be worth it, so that's exactly what he did. 

For better or worse, David decided to just keep the truth to himself, from everyone from the coven and max, to you. Being honest just wasn't an option, at least, not at first. The truth eventually had to come out to you, if no one else. 

You were bound to realize that he was being more distant and strange than usual, even if he was kind of weird to begin with. He stopped going out during the day, and didn't have a reflection anymore, and that was just the beginning of it. 

It got to the point where telling you the truth was the only thing he could do. If he didn't, you were going to start to think that it had something to do with you, and that just wasn't the case. 

All things considered, you took it really well. 

You didn't talk to him for a few days after he came clean, just taking your time to process, and once you'd finished, it was like nothing had changed.

...But it had. 

David had been honest with you and you had taken it well. However, your understanding wasn't the only hurtle he had to get over. In keeping you in his life and then telling you the truth, David had broken one of Max's biggest rules, and he wasn't sure what would happen if he found out. 

Keeping you a secret was the only option he had, for your safety and his.

It worked, for a time.

As far as he knew, no one had any idea what David did when he snuck away from the gang for hours at a time but that could only work for so long. The two of you didn't get to see each other much, but he made as much time as he could. 

To be fair, the boys had no idea he even left. 

However, Star was much more perceptive than the others and decided one morning to sneak out to figure out what David had to do this early, with the sun just about to break. It was a dangerous time of the day for them, so clearly he was taking a risk to do whatever it was he was doing.

It was important to him, whatever it was. 

She wasn't sure what she was going to find when the male stopped, but of all the things she could have thought he was hiding, she never could have guessed this. David's motorcycle stopped in a suburban neighborhood, one that she'd never been in. 

It was close enough to where they all lived but in a part of town that none of the gang of them would have ever found themselves. Though, David didn't seem to feel out of place at all, and her suspicions were confirmed when she saw you. 

You were standing in the dusk, arms folded to keep the cool morning air from your skin, a small smile on your face when you saw the man approaching. 

Star didn't recognize you, and she was pretty sure that you'd never met. However, it was obvious that the two of you knew each other really well when your lips met, and the blonde spun you around in a big hug. 

That wasn't really something David would ever do with a stranger. 

You had to be important to him. 

The visit was rather quick, considering the fact that David had to get back to the cave before the sun was high in the sky but he did this every morning, if her suspicions were correct, so it wasn't like he was missing out on much. 

Star waited until she heard David's motorcycle on the road again before making her move. She wanted to know more about you and the only way she could do that was if she watched you for a while, gathering information. 

She knew as well as they all did that whatever he was doing with you was against the rules, but she wasn't about to confront him about it until she knew that there was a reason for her spying. 

In other words, she needed to know exactly who you were before she could ask him about it. Risking David's temper without proof was a terrible idea, and could be bad even with the proof she intended to gather. 

Still, the threat of his anger wasn't enough to keep her from sitting outside your bedroom window, under the cover of your overhanging roof for as long as she could. 

For the most part, you didn’t seem to be all that interesting. 

You were just a girl, with all the normal things that she’d had before she’d chosen this life instead, but there was one thing that didn’t seem to be so normal. 

On your bedside table sat a single picture frame, holding a polaroid you clearly cherished. It was a picture of David, at some point before she’d known him, but there was no denying the fact that it was him. 

Which was more than enough for Star to make up her mind. 

If this was what he’d done every day for the last few months, something had to be done about it. Not only was he putting all of them in danger, but he was also going directly against Max’s rules. 

...And that just couldn’t stand. 

Someone had to do something about it.

Without so much as a hesitation, she knocked on the window, making it obvious to you that she was there. You were confused of course, but not as much as she thought you would be. 

You simply gasped, but motioned to open the window nonetheless. Had she approached you this way before David’s confession, you would not have been so calm, but it was hard to surprise you now. 

You had known about Vampires for some time at this point, and assumed naturally that she must have been among them. No one else would have been able to get to your window from the ground. 

“The sun is out, what are you doing?” you wondered, with a casualness that shocked the brunette. She had no idea that you knew what she was, or what he was. 

...And of course she didn’t. 

Until this morning, she had no idea that you existed. 

“You’re the secret that David was protecting” she hummed, not bothering to answer your question as she climbed in away from the glaring sun.

She was hidden safely away from where she was, but not comfortable enough out there to stay. As soon as she said that, you panicked just a bit more. 

Star could hear your heartbeat speeding up more and more after she’d mentioned him, and that was more than enough to prove her theory. You were, you had to be, but it didn’t make any sense. 

They had all made the choice to toss away the lives they lived before and she was sure that David would have been the first to do so. He was constantly throwing a fit over the smallest inconsistencies in the others. 

Perhaps this was why. 

“Who are you?” you asked finally, sitting down on the edge of your bed. Whatever she was going to do, there was nothing you could do to stop her, so you decided to just do the best you could to get some answers. 

You didn’t really think this was where today was going to go but you always knew that there was a chance it would happen. It was the risk you’d taken to stay with David. 

“Star” she allowed, pushing away from the wall to get that much closer to you. It was going to be a long day, as Star could no longer go outside again until the sun went down but she also couldn’t let you go either. 

“I’m sure you know something is going to have to be done about this”

Whatever it was, something was going to change. There was no way around that, not for you or David.
