Some old doodles - inspired by the Beatles🎵 and Monty Python🤡
I'm feeling pretty happy today but not in the mood to draw. Came across some old drawings in my computer, so I'm just bundling them together to post.
I absolutely love AUs! I really enjoy imagining how my favorite people or characters would behave in different universes. So whether it's fanfiction or fanart, I always approach them this way. If it's not your cup of tea, please bear with me😹(sorry
A cannon for Beatles × Good Omens AU! I drew this a long long time ago. For some reason I just feel like Mclennon fits perfectly with the ineffable husbands’ setting of Good Omens… while George is clearly the anti-Christ little boy (he's an anti-Christ because he converted to Hinduism? I'm not too aware of religious taboos, so if this offends anyone, I apologize). And Ringo is a rabbit named "Rabbit"🐰🍎 (sorry, Ringo).
I've completely forgotten what was going through my mind when I drew this. Maybe it was just an unremarkable night spent heartbroken over Mclennon, listening to Now and Then on loop hundreds of times.🥺
In the end, some people grow old, while others remain preserved on the wall, forever forty.
And of course, Starrison🎸🥁!!
I've always thought they're like two teenagers — so, so cute!! So in this drawing, they are members of a high school music club (I'm not very familiar with British school uniforms, so the ones here are styled after East Asian high schools). The hand-holding can be interpreted in any way… anyone is free to understand it as they wish, because I initially wanted to draw this solely to recreate an adorable scene from my imagination☺️🤗
Even made two different backgrounds — I'm absolutely pleased with how it turned out!
Then there's Do Not Adjust Your Set — I really love this pre-Monty Python show. Once again, I went with the high school music club setting. This time I tried drawing British high school uniforms (I used references I found online — if any British high schoolers see this and your uniforms don’t actually look like this… don’t blame me, blame the internet).
As for which instruments the five members of DNAYS play, I’m not actually that sure, but Eric obviously plays the guitar. Denise’s baritone horn was featured in the TV series, so I kept that. I’ve always thought Jonesy would make a great lead singer, so he doesn’t have an instrument. Michael’s drumsticks and David’s tambourine are made up — I just thought they’d look cute with those little stuff.
Also, I was never entirely sure about Denise’s hair color. From some old photos, it seemed somewhat reddish (?) — and since this is set during their teen years, I gave her longer hair too.
This is actually the first Monty Python-related piece I ever drew—it's a direct copy of a photo, and the post-processing in PS also includes some of my own quirky personal twists (I just wanted to make it look weird, for no particular reason). The reference was this photo:

I finished watching Do Not Adjust your Set. I wish so many episodes weren’t lost media
So, anyways, I love this song. Probably my favorite one in the series. Enjoy!
I've been struggling a lot to draw at all recently, so I popped on the Do Not Adjust Your Set DVD collection and grabbed a soft lead pencil and my sketchbook.
