David Lander (best known as Squiggy on Laverne & Shirley) guest stars as Squiggy on The Nanny ('Val's Apartment') when Fran and Val move into Laverne & Shirley's old flat.

There were always insinuations that Squiggy and Lenny (played by the incredible Michael McKean) were in some sort of open relationship together, but never anything explicit. But, if you watched the show as a baby queer, it was pretty obvious.

I assume Michael McKean was not brought on to play Lenny because he had, three episodes previously, guest starred as CC's obnoxious brother in 3.02, Franny and the Professor.
