when you're talking about davinci's love life, are you talking about them with romani? b/c those two are like team mom and dad for chaldea and totally bangin' (and I don't get why roman and guda is so goddamn popular... ugh...)
Yeah, because of Romani.
I wouldn’t say they were banging, even if I ship them a lot as my OTP in FGO next to Euryale/Asterios and some others. Mostly because of him and his goddamn intimacy issues. He might not look like it, but underneath his deceptive goofiness, he’s Doctor Paranoia and he didn’t come to trust Da Vinci fully until after London Singularity, and boy, she tried a lot for years. Da Vinci obviously has feelings for him, but whether anything happened between them (or not) depended on how he allowed her to get close.
Also he’s a coward. That’s his cowardice, it’s got nothing to do with battles, he is afraid to open up to people and afraid of emotional confrontation (seeing them upset, crying, etc). That’s why he acts that way: to be everyone’s friendly doctor and nobody’s friend.
Roman/Protagonist is popular because Roman is one if not the most popular FGO male original characters. I mean I don’t OTP it at all (and I see him more as a mentor figure and a parental guide), but I do think some of the art is cute, but yeah it saddens me Da Vinci has shoved been aside in fanworks or made a shipper of this pairing (when she’s staunchly Protagonist/Mashu fff, and even was careful to break the protagonist’s Roman flag in the prologue when they asked about him - a genius is genre savvy!). Ah well!
