Scarlet: Well look who’s finally up.
Daxial: It’s Saturday. I like sleeping in.
Scarlet: You aren’t the only one. Dadley did too.
Crowley: Your daughter thinks she’s funny.
Aziraphale: Yes well I wonder where she gets that from.
Crowley: I’m almost sad you didn’t get the reference.
Aziraphale: No I entirely understood the reference. Just wasn’t interested in the bait.
(Crowley is forever closing that book. He has tried reading it three times and it never works.)
Aziraphale began Daxial lessons. Taking him downstairs and helping him learn how to traverse them.
When it was clear it was time for bed Aziraphale tucks him in.
Only to see that Crowley had fallen asleep while playing with Scarlet.
Aziraphale: Crowley dear you’ve fallen asleep in the wrong room.
Crowley: Wha-angel? No we were playing.
Aziraphale: Yes and now the children are. Go to bed.
Aziraphale: Ah there you are dear. Who is that?
Crowley: A question I have for you as well, angel. This is Scarlet Crowley the girl we agreed to adopt. Who’s the young lad?
Aziraphale: Daxial Celestial. The agency required a last name and I had trouble coming up with one.
Crowley: So we have two children?
Aziraphale: Yes it seems so.
Scarlet: I have a little brother! Best day ever!
Crowley: Are you seriously giving him cereal? He’ll be running around like crazy!
Aziraphale: Well he doesn’t want to eat your, uh, bread dish dear.
Crowley: Because he knows you’ll spoil him, angel!
Aziraphale: Now that’s a bit unfair. Just because I understand that he hates that dish doesn’t mean I’m spoiling him.
Crowley: No you spoili-, wait. Did you just say he hates my cooking?
Aziraphale: No I said he hates that dis-
Crowley: Too late angel.
Crowley: It’s too late.
Fire!
Aziraphale: Crowley! I was cooking and then-
Crowley: Everything caught fire. Yeah I see that. Go get Dax and head outside.
Crowley mutters as he puts out the fire: Good thing Scarlet was at school.
Aziraphale whispering: Dear I’m worried about you. You’ve seem rather down lately. Maybe you should get out of the house.
Crowley: What? I’m fine. It’s Dax over there you should be worried about. He hasn’t showered yet today.
Aziraphale: Well you are his father too.
He realizes Daxial had gotten up and was coming to clean his plate. Aziraphale gestures with his eyes towards him before bellowing with laughter. Crowley follows suit.
Aziraphale: There’s no limit to your wit dear.
Crowley: If only they had seen it that way.
Daxial washes his plate as quickly as possible to get away from their awkward banter.
Daxial stole a pan and began to run around with it.
Scarlet caught a look at him but decided to leave him be. She could always use the restroom upstairs.
Crowley: What kind of trouble are you getting yourself into Daxial?
Dax dumps the old food out of the pan. He proceeds to dig through it. As Crowley watches ever just the littlest bit proud of his son. It was almost hard to believe how soon his birthday would be upon them,
Afterwards
Caterer: It was the largest cake I ever had to bake. I even had to use an entirely new oven to make it.
Aziraphale: Did you now?
Daxial: Where are you going Scar?
Scarlet groans as Crowley pats her shoulder. He finsihes cleaning up the rest of the plates as she sleepily heads for the stairs.
Aziraphale: Today was a big day Daxial. Your sister is tired, let her rest.
