Day 051: Vintage

“Okay so how long ago were you bitten?” You hummed as you laid on the couch. Your partner sat at the end, reading a book. He looked at you out of the corner of his eye, red and watching. His eyebrow arched in curiosity. This wasn't a new conversation for you, he was actually pretty certain the two of you had talked about it rather recently but he answered.

Without putting his book down, or looking at you, he responded, “About 98 years ago.”

You hummed with contemplation, “Right, right, and how old were you when you bitten?”

This time he slowly lowered the book from his face, but still indulged in your question, hesitantly, “I was 26.”

“That makes sense,” You respond. This earns you his full attention, eyes intent on you. He collapsed his book onto his lap and face filled with confusion and intrigue. Before he could ask what you had even meant by that, you followed up, “I was trying to figure out if you were classified as vintage or ancient–” You didn’t even get to finish your sentence before a pillow was thrown on your face with a satisfying thud.

Author side note: Did I think about Vincent and Sam in this situation.... yes, yes I did. Heh ♡
