#day 35.6

Adwin adds birthday candles, then he receives the call that he’s been waiting for. He’s finally been promoted to Vice President of his grandfather’s company ... something that he’s been working really hard for. 

But...there’s a catch. Part of his duties as VP will involve overseeing the opening of two new branches for the company; one in Willow Creek and one in Windenburg...which means that he’ll be doing a whole lot of traveling. Adwin tries to hide his disappointment as he thanks his boss for the promotion. He’s happy with the increase in pay and duties, but upset that it all comes at a cost.

Adwin sits down to eat dinner while he can. The twins finish their food and begin crying and screaming at the same time. Marvel and Opus begin to scream louder and louder, which makes Adwin feel that much worse about having to tell Mina about his new work travel schedule.

Meanwhile, Marvel and Opus are becoming tired, hungry and cranky. Mina gives Opus an apple and juice cup, then hands Marvel a toy...hoping it’ll keep them occupied long enough for her to finish her flower arrangement.

Ajay arrives in Granite Falls. Like his dad predicted...it’s covered in snow. The first thing Ajay does is take a couple of selfies.

When Ajay returns to the campsite...the ranger and mascot are no longer there. He’s free and it feels amazing! Ajay is happier than he’s been in a very long time.

Ajay walks over and blows out his birthday candles. He’s now a young adult and has added the Loves the Outdoors trait to his previous Erratic and Loner traits.

Tessa and the mascot are still standing near his campsite when he returns. To avoid them...he changes into his workout clothes and goes for a jog. It turns out that jogging is a great way to see more of the area and keeps him warm...even without his coat.

Jogging has made him hungry, so Ajay roasts a veggie dog on the open fire. He’s not 100% committed to vegetarianism, but he’s intrigued...so he’s decided to go meat-free for as long as he can. After his lunch is nice and toasted...he walks over to a picnic table to eat it, but it’s cold by the time he gets there. He suffers through it and eats it anyway. 

Suddenly...it begins to snow again.
