I'll say it, today was rough for me. As most of you know, my release date for The Admiral's Daughter is getting postponed due to issues in the proof copies I received today.
What you guys don't know is that I wanted today to be the day pre-orders were available. What you guys don't know is that I made that post while sitting under my desk, crying. What you guys don't know is that after I posted I took a walk around the block to clear my head.
And what you guys don't know is that your suppoet got me through today.
The comments on instagram. The likes and reblogs here. The little words of encouragement, of joining in my frustration and agony, the sharing this setback alongside you guys and recieving your love and encouragement. All of it makes me realize how so beyond blessed I am.
While I took my walk, I couldn't help but think about how God's plan is bigger than mine, and all the ways that I'm blessed. I'm able to publish a book under my own name without having to search out a publishing house. I am literate and capable of writing, and writing well. I have people who are excited to read my book. Even with this setback, I am blessed beyond belief.
So when I got home from my walk, after I read my usual Daily Bread devotional and drank my usual lunch smoothie, I sat down and fixed the formatting errors and the cover and made a game plan for getting this DONE, and even though it's not what I planned to do today, God had a bigger plan.
