Eito paused, turning back, and Ichito hummed. ‟Where are you going?” he asked groggily, turning over and leaning up a little. He sank back down after a breath, feeling the weight of the day urging him to rest. He could drag himself up if need be, but he rarely wished to. Eito had always managed against it better than he, but why was he up at this ridiculous hour? Eito laughed softly, shaking his head, his hair falling over his face.

Ichito woke slowly, as he often did, but something was plucking at the back of his mind to urge it; something out of place, strange. . . .Eito was sliding out of bed, he realised, taking a moment to track the movement. He still felt heavy with the sun; it must be near midday. So why was his mate rising from their bed? He groaned vaguely, reaching out, fingers curling over the sheets. Eito had tucked the blanket back up over him. Probably not planning to slip back into his place there, then. Ichito drew a deep breath. ‟Koibito?” he mumbled, opening his eyes.
