“Don’t do this.” Dani’shand comes down onto Malcolm’s as he goes to pick up a case file.
He sighs softly, unmovingfor a moment as he considers her words. He doesn’t look at her, which is very purposefulon his part, blue eyes filled with the commentary he’s having without any wordsbeing said. Her thumb curls around one of his fingers and he tries to draw itback but she won’t allow him to.
“I’m just questioning him.”He says after a moment, swallowing when his gaze finally meets her own.
1. Introduction- Emma and Mr. Knightley
“Do you remember the first time we met?”
His question was so abrupt, surprising, that it made Emma stop in her tracks. Which to her mind, was quite disagreeable, as it was a lovely spring day that they ought to be enjoying by continuing on the stroll that he had invited her on, not by standing around talking about the past. As much as she enjoyed the sound of Knightley’s voice--and she did, there could be no doubt--she had no idea what had caused him to broach the subject in the first place. She turned to him with a quizzical look on her face, a smile playing at the corners of her mouth.
“The first time we met? I’m sure I don’t! Vaguely, perhaps, but nothing more. Why, we were so young--only children! I would be shocked if either of us could remember such a meeting.” She frowned just slightly, cocking her head to one side as she considered Knightley thoughtfully. “I suppose Papa might remember something, if you asked him. Or Isabella, seeing as she’s older. Either of them would likely be able to answer any questions you might have about the event in question. Would you like me to ask?”
Now it was his turn to look startled. “Oh--no. That will not be necessary, Emma. That...wasn’t why I was asking. It’s fine--perfectly fine, in fact. You are right, it was so very long ago. Forget I asked, truly.”
“Well, you know I simply cannot forget it, now that you’ve brought it up,” Emma chided playfully, taking his arm yet again. “But why did you ask? Do you remember when we first met?”
“Of course I do,” he answered immediately, looking rather pleased with himself. “Not every detail, mind you, but I do. You a mess of curls and an urge take charge of everything around you.”
“Remarkable, that you recall all of this.”
“Oh, Emma. I think you’ll find that I remember nearly every conversation I’ve ever had with you.”

Is Jamestown worth the watch? I’m always looking for something to fill the historical drama void in my life.
imo, yes. admittedly, it’s a little hard getting passed the first episode due to a particular scene, the second and third were a little ‘hm, well, okay…’, and then by the end of the first season, i was somehow completely invested.
