Getting art from @dazzlingjedi has been on my art bucket list for a while! So happy I finally got a piece! She totally crushed this piece of my resistance fighter Vanx Kress. She’s a native to Naboo and grew up with her family usually holding some sort of political titles. She left to help the resistance against the first order and after the battle of Exegol, she returned to help with the uprising on Naboo against the first order.

I was inspired by the talented DazzlingJedi’s design of Sith Empress Rey and decided to do an interpretation based on the other two, main Star Wars gals as Sith Empresses. 

Padme - This circumstance wouldn’t have been of Padme’s choice, and rather something she would be forced into by Anakin killing Sideous. Since Padme and her death are in many ways a metaphor for the Galactic Rebublic, I believe her fashion is too. Rather than wearing something decorative from a diverse wardrobe, her clothing has become muted. Anakin/Vader is probably the reason she wears armor, something forced on her by his own paranoia. She is ashamed of her circumstance, and she has purged all outward representations of he culture aside from the scar of remembrance. 

Leia - So, it’s pretty obvious I was inspired by Revan. I was always pretty disappointed that we never got to see Leia’s badass force powers in visual canon, and perhaps that’s why I decided on such an OP design (no ragrets). Being raised by Vader, Leia would be well-trained and ready to take up the mantle of the ruling sith empress.

Listen, you are 100% allowed to have opinions and dislikes on things you see in Star Wars. Absolutely, your prerogative.

What is supremely shitty is thinking that makes it okay for you to be nasty to a 16 year old artist--a REAL fucking person--like this because you don’t like one aspect of one piece of their content. A 16 year old. What the actual fuck.

Don’t do this.

Don’t use real people as the butt of jokes they didn’t agree to. Don’t shit on people making creative efforts. Don’t put real people on public blast because you think it’s a great way to showcase your superiority. Don’t pit people against each other who had no say in it--especially reposting someone elses artwork with awful intentions.

Be better than this. Come on.

This artist is a lovely person by the way, and I think their work deserves more positive attention especially after this shit.
