In which Connor tries to argue with Hank about making sure he takes care of himself, and Hank decides a sadistic distraction is 100% necessary, tipping Connor firmly into (what is frankly adorable) subspace.

Guys I’m just so excited about this fic at the moment. You can expect in this chapter: Hank trying to goad Connor into realising he makes bad decisions in his life but only succeeding in goading Connor. Gavin being an absolute irredeemable asshole, and his father being tremendously worse than that.

After a million years there’s finally an update! (That I forgot to mention here because emergency vet visit with one of our cats). But now I can update!

In which Connor and Hank finally get to go home, Connor experiences sensory deprivation, and their relationship continues to develop. Also, ah, maybe Hank’s a little broken?

I had always tentatively wanted to do it, but wasn’t sure if the opportunity would present itself. But it totally does! Plus, Hank trusts Luuk, Connor trusts Luuk, and Luuk definitely wants a chance to see if Hank is actually trustworthy at all, so you know, it’ll be great for all of them except for Connor, who will mostly suffer, but enjoy that in his own way, lmao.

Slowly catching up with Eversion. Just wanted to say that I think Connor's character arc in incredible and reminds me far, far too much of my headspace from like 5 years baack. Thank you for your writing

I’ve been enjoying Connor’s character arc. I think he’s been a really relatable character, I’ve had more people say ‘he’s me’ with him, than with like, a lot of the other characters I’ve written. Whether it’s around his issues with food, or his father, or well, everything piled together. So on the one hand, yay for characters being relatable and on the other hand yall need some blankets and hot cocoa and for the world to treat you better.
