My response to the fandom misconstruing dialogue in this game.
I cannot stress enough how much I despise this ridiculous line.
I don't mean to point out the obvious, but alive or not, they ARE still machines. They're made of metal, hard plastic, wires, engines, microchips, motor liquid, circuitry and machinery. What does that make them? You guessed it! Machines! I have no idea why the word "machine" is treated like a slur in this game, and to say they're alive is fine but to insist that they're not machines? That's just downright stupid and delusional! It's disregarding what they actually are just to act morally virtuous. Meanwhile in the same game we have Carl saying "Humans are fragile machines.", make up your mind, game!
To whoever came up with the name "Nines"… Die! Today! Now! (Jk jk) But seriously, I really cannot stand that name, it's not clever or quirky, it's just cringy and sounds like a nickname one receives from a relative. And having seen that fan film, the name sounds even worse when said out loud. It does my head in… THANKS A LOT, OCTOPUNK!
