Summary: After revolution Connor is comeing back to work at DPD and needs a new partner for a time until Hank will come back from his break. Fowler takes Gavin. Maybe it wasn't so bad cooperation if the question appeared?
The whole revolution make Gavin change his mind a little bit. Maybe androids weren't so bad? Eighter was he still wanted to pretend that he didn't like them.
Hank was always fighting back the comments he directed to Connor. The tin-can couldn't defend himself?
It was a month after revolution when Fowler shouted at him to get to his office.
"What is this time?" Gavin asked somewhat annoyed. "I breathed uncorecctly? Or maybe sat in wrong position, hm?"
"Stop these jokes, Reed." Capitan said and looked at Gavin from behind his desk. "You know that Connor is comeing back to work, right?"
Gavin nodded and crossed his arms. "You will be his new partner."
Gavin frowned. "What?! I am suppose to work with the tin-can!? Why Anderson can't?!"
"Because he's taking a break." Capitan said sternly. "You're his partner for the time until Hank will be back. End of." He said and went back to work. "Now get your ass to work."
Gavin was ready to argue back but huffed and walked out. He was suppose to work with tin-can?
Two days later Connor showed up in the office. Every officer greeted him warmly and the android just smiled, shakeing theirs hands.
Gavin huffed and sat at his desk with crossed arms and legs on the desk. The one that was in front of him was now Connor's. He was angry and didn't want to work with an android andsurely not with on that bit him.
"Hello detective Reed." Gavin heard familliar voice. Connor in his whole glory, was standing next o him. Gavin just looked up at the android. "It's a pleasure for me to work with you."
Gavin wanted to stand up and throw the fucking tin-can into the wall but he knew that Fowler was looking. He just looked at his computer again.
They have been working for 1,5 week. Gavin was surprised that it wasn't a bad coopoeration. He was slowly getting closer to the android. Well, of course in something more like freindship, but it was a huge step.
It was nearly a month now. Gavin have solved a lot of cases with Connor. They understand each other without words and they worked at the same speed. Maybe not at raports but at crime scenes they were the best.
Once Gavin forgot his jacket from office and it was freezing outside. Connor gave Gavin his own jacket. And Gavin... smiled at him. But it wasn't the strangest thing. The strangest thing was that Connor smiled back at him and he blushed lightly...
Hank have come back from his break, but Fowler let Connor work with Gavin for longer. Hank of course wasn't happy about it, but didn't argue.
They were really good together. One evening Gavin forgot his badge from office and Connor ran out after him with it. "Detective!" Gavin turned around and looked at Connor. "You forgot your badge." He handed the thing to Gavin.
"Oh." Gavin looked down at the badge and took it. "Thanks, Connor." He said and was about to turn around when-
"Ym. Can I ask you something...?" Connor asked, looking at the ground, somewhat avoiding Gavin's eyes.
The detective looked up at Connor and nodded. "Yeah, I guess." He said and waited for the question.
"Would you... Em..." the androids looked nervous and it was strange, because Connor was never nervous. Never. "Would you like to go out somewhere with me?" Connor said fastly.
Gavin froze. He didn't expect that. At all. "I- Em-" a red blush spread across his cheeks and nose. "I- Sure-" he said and rubbed back of his neck.
"T-Tommorow evening?" Connor asked and looked up a little. His LED was dark yellow and he didn't look as nervous as he did before.
"Y-Yeah- Sure-" Gavin said and nearly ran to his car. It was a date. He was going on a date with an android...
