My outboard rack is slowly growing 😜 next to my #presonus #studiochannel is now a #dbx166 stereo compressor. I've mixed completely #inthebox the last year but I felt always like there was something missing. But #hybridmixing makes my tracks sound a little more organic and natural which I like very much. I like to use the Presonus Studio Channel on the way in. The dbx is set up as an external effect in #cubase so I can use it on almost every, but I like it most on drums for example or sometimes even on my master bus right after my old mini mixing console which is set up on the master bus as well to run the complete mix through the mic preamps.
