Welcome to the DeanCas Anime Bang where we thrust our favorite hunter/angel duo into the world of anime and manga!

Have you ever wondered what it would be like for your favorite pair of grumpy old men to be thrown into the world of anime? Pictured them in Naruto’s Hidden Leaf Village? Have you thought about Castiel in a Soul Reaper uniform or wondered what his bankai would be? Wondered what Dean would think of the hunters from Hunter X Hunter?

excited to finally share my pieces for the @deancasanimebang! @bleuzombie's cowboy bebop fusion immediately got my attention and their story was a great inspiration for dramatic scenes and tones. also honoured to work with @nickelkeep and their versatility of being both the beta and other artist for the story. this event got me to try different approaches and styles when drawing that i'm very satisfied by and will try out more in the future.

Super excited to share my contribution to the @deancasanimebang!

This was inspired by Cowboy Bebop, one of my favorite anime. Spike and Dean would be such great friends.

Summary: Bounty Hunters Dean, Vic, and Hacker Kevin are dealing with the aftermath of theft and sabotage at Charlie’s hands when Dean discovers signs of his lost love Castiel. Instead Dean discovers the man who killed Castiel. But Leviathan is more than he seems.

DCAB Art Post - 1,2,3 Let's Jam

Hey! So I got to participate twice in this round of the DCAB. I had already agreed to beta @bleuzombie's amazing fic 1,2,3, Let's Jam, an amazing story based on the world of Cowboy Bebop, but due to unforeseen circumstances, I ended up doing a piece of art for it as well! It also means I got to work alongside the amazing @sketcheun, and like, holy shit, if that isn't intimidating. But truly, this was a great team to work with, and you really need to go drop everything and read 1,2,3, Let's Jam!

Everyone should go check out this adorable fic (beta'd by @golby-moon who's also an author and artist in the event 💚) combining Destiel with the world of Studio Ghibli's Spirited away, set years after the events of the film.

​The DeanCas Anime Bang is coming back this summer, so start getting your ideas ready!!

Sign-ups will open in June. Here's the 2026 Schedule and Info for anyone who'd like to go ahead and look it over now. But here are the main differences from our first round:

Beta Readers are full participants in the event and will have check-ins.

A month has been added to the schedule to give some extra room to you authors who like to write tomes. You're welcome.

The artists also get a few extra weeks at the front of their schedule. You're welcome as well, lol.

BUT BEFORE THAT...

Our companion event, the Supernatural Anime Challenge, will be running in April! There is a set of prompts for each week of the month. Do any/all of them. Do the same prompt 30 times. Just come have fun with it!

It's open to all characters and ships!!!

ALSO!!! 

@spn-anime-challenge wants to promote your past works!! Any Spn/Anime crossovers or AUs that you have (whether they were created for one of these events or not) can be submitted through this form to be featured on the blog during our "Bonus Days" (April 1-4) Note: if you happen to submit the form after those days have passed, we will still promote them once the event is over.
