Venom Starters (ACCEPTING)
When he’d received the email, initially the man thought nothing of it. His daughter’s name was in the subject heading, and he’d assumed it was another person trying to tell him how to parent his child. Having a child while being a single father in the spotlight was difficult, as it often meant people criticised his every action, and no matter how hard you could try to hide your email, some people were just that determined.
And then he opened the video.
His heart stopped, his jaw dropped open, and he can feel the tears brimming in his eyes. His Daisy, his little girl, at the mercy of someone else, in a position not to dissimilar to one he’d found himself in, at the start of the whole superhero mess. He knows it’s intentionally done like this. It’s aimed to try and hurt him more, making him irrational.
Tony would never admit it aloud, but it had achieved its purpose.
He stumbles away, trying to choke back the sobs that are ripping through him, but it’s too much. He lets out one, just one, before he tries to think of how he can fix this.
He’ll find her. She didn’t need to worry about that.
